the comment on your Turkishnness was a compliment because you use many Turkish words in a way that make many Turkish people feel like you are one of 'us.' So, saying 'you are a Turkish woman who speaks English' doesn't mean as it sounds. It is a way to say that you are so sweet and welcome to be one of us. I think the situation here is like my story when I moved to the UK. When I was having difficulties to find a right word during a conversation and complain about my language level was not perfect, people respond with an idiom like 'at least your English is better than my Turkish.' I was feeling a bit strange and not necessarily positive about it because my response, in my mind, was like 'it is your comparison level, really! Daa! You don't know a word of Turkish, and I am doing my PhD in your language. Then even I got starting self-doubt as 'my English is really that bad?' :) But eventually, I understand that it is a compliment to me speaking English. So if anyone claims you are Turkish to me, that doesn't mean you are faking, but simply you are a strong candidate to be honourary Turkish person.

Mutfak desen batısından tut doğusuna her yemeği harika, coğrafi olarak baksan zaten oda harika insanlarının pratik zekası desen oda çok iyi fakat tek kötü yanı insanlar büyük resmi göremiyor. Merhaba, Chelsea! This video is very sweet. As an American, I spent ten (non-consecutive) years of my childhood in Turkey, and my father proudly spoke fluent Turkish. We explored and loved the culture, the food, the regions and history. Although that was decades ago, in some ways, I think that I have carried with me some of the same values and hospitality. And, wouldn't I love a big plate of Iskender Kebab, to this day my favorite dinner dish! Alas, it's almost impossible to find good Turkish food in New England.

Hi Chelsea!!! I have been watching your Turkey videos for the past few months because I just recently went on a trip to the Middle East to meet/visit a lot of family that I have there. I’m actually going to Turkey next summer and I got a one way ticket.. I’m not sure how long I’ll end up staying, but I just feel the strong urge to leave the U.S. and live the kind of life that you kind of explained here. I love the slow living , family/people oriented lifestyle. I love history, culture, and nature and I feel like I don’t belong in the heavy work focused culture that is the U.S. I’m going through a lot of indecision because I’m supposed to start nursing school in a month and I’ve impulsively decided that I’m not sure it’s right for me anymore. I’m having a lot of fear abandoning something that would be very secure for my future and the fear of not knowing where my future will go, but I wanted to ask how you made moving possible and how you were able to financially plan it out. I’m sure now, you have the support of TH-cam, but was this always the case? I don’t have family money to fall back on and I don’t have too much saved but I really want to make this possible for me and live a relaxed and happy lifestyle. I’m kind of just looking for any advice you might have :)

Chelsea I just watched one of your older videos and I can tell that you really learned the language (pronunciation part at least. Whole language is too complicated to learn I believe 80% of people living in Turkey don't know the whole language) and that made me happy. You are the proof that with enough time anyone can learn this language and I still believe that its easier than most of the European languages. Not English, but easier than German, Spanish, French and definitely Dutch. There are many more languages but I think Turkish is easier than at least half of them out there.
Thank you for that. Teşekkürler :)

    1-sea
    2-weather
3-diversity & freedom (I know It’s not in everything but at least they have a personal freedom comparing to my country)
4-People looks kind, helpful & supporter inspite of everyone says Turkish people have a bad mood

Indian here* long one, take out time to read, lütfen!
    Buni okuyan herkese merhaba!
I am so glad i found this channel!!...it feeds my curiosity about everything related to Turkey!!!!
This is Isha ,from New Delhi India. I really have no idea why am i writing it down here but i guess i will just let it out here.
The thing is i dont know i just love Turkey now somehow. Its really strange ,its just like an obsession! Be it the place , the tv series ,the people , the language....oh the language is love 🥰 çok guzel!!...I have been trying learn everything about Turkey lately....i have been practicing the language so much at my home that it has kinda become my third lang. after hindi and english even with the right accent and pronunciations and also the slangs. ..ama i still have a lot to learn, just a beginner...i say turkish words often in my local conversation without realizing it!!! And people have no idea what i say, its hilarious sometimes!!!...
.since i love urdu language ( i am a fan) it seems easier for me to learn turkish faster....even though the languages are diff they match in some ways and many words are just so common in turkish and hindi & urdu...it surprises me!!! Even the chai...its so common in india though we make it differently . Maybe that's what i find so intriguing about Turkish stuff!! It seems so relatable!!!!
I even think i have a HUGE Crush on actor Bariş Arduç🥰. He's probably the major reason as well as in why i love turkey so much!!!...I wish i could just meet him once!! Thats my dearest wish!!!
I like burak deniz, hande erçel, elçin sangu ,kivanç as well!!!...
I hope to visit Turkey one day.
    I dream for it,at least!
    Hope my wishes come true!!!!
    Seni seviyorum Turkey!
    💜💙💚💛🧡❤

as a turkish, "the family values" part is a two edged sword for us, especially for the younger generation. mainly because our families never respect us as individuals and they'll always think they know whats best for us. every single turkish member of my generation has massive complaints about that, and its really stifling our progress as a nation at times i'd say.
