One good thing which I highly praise is the quietness of the cabin. Drive at 120kmh or faster with radio on at normal volume you hardly hear any wind noise. The one thing to complaint about is the speaker. Even for 330i some other RM120k plus car still sound better

I'm getting the g20 m sport version. It's a shame the alloys aren't as sporty looking compared to the sport version.

I am hanging between Mazda 6 2021 or 320i 2020 can you please advice me. I did test the 320i its a fantastic car, i didn't test mazda 6 as they don't have yet but i did test mazda 3 was really good.

Overall G20 is a much better than its predecessor, but BMW Malaysia managed to make it looks worst in certain area thanks to its cheapskate specs 😅
Nice and awesome review on this car. I went to a showroom recently and tried it out, and compared with the 2020 C200 few days later. It is really a fantastic car as you mentioned in the video except for the not so luxurious interior compared to the 330i, but if it's not because they offered such an amazing interior to 330i so that we can compare them both, I dont think even that could be an issue.
The only thing holding me back now is that I heard that the engine design for the previous F30 models has a chip at the bottom of the engine, which is highly sensitive to water puddles. I know that all cars will have the same problem if their engine suck up water when driving over deep water puddles, but the problem with the F30 models seems to be even more sensitive to the extend that even just a little bit of water could cause its engine to break down. Does the G20 also inherit this problem? Or did they fixed it already?
Don't mind the analog cluster actually, but the 10-speaker setup should've been thrown in.
That's fair. Some people would actually prefer normal dials over BMW's digital dials, but bad sound is just inexcusable.

I honestly like the analogue gauge a lot more. There's something special about revving that needle to the redline. Screens are overrated man. 10 years from now, analogue will be the new premium.

Same bodykit as our 320i is being used on 330i in some countries i.e. Spain, etc The bodykit is also called premium or luxury line if im not mistaken.

Good review.. I have a question. Recently I'm eying on Mercedes A250 but BMW 320i looks striking too. In you opinion which is the better car.
They offer completely different driving experiences. The A250 may feel lighter, quicker and more agile at first, but overall the 320i is the more rewarding drive. Do give them both a try.

How is the cabin noise at highway speed compared to the old gen? The old gen was so noisy with road tyre noise compared to a camry or accord.
It's much quieter now. Huge improvement.

Agree. Never go with trend of people who wants latest. Upgrade/LCI is always btr for bmw. I would say significant upgrade.

The only downfall of the car is the lack of fully digital instrument cluster with idrive 7. I don’t mind paying a bit more for that feature.

Outstanding Hafriz. comprehensive review. professional but santaii. one question. since this 320i suspension is balanced n comfy. can we get rid the m-sport suspension for 330i? dying for 330 except for the suspension.
Unfortunately you can’t. I went for the 320i instead of the 330i also purely because of the suspension. Tested as both driver and passenger during test drive and the ride was really poor and nauseating as a passenger especially on poor roads. As a driver, sheer driving pleasure.

What's your opinion compared this with used 530i?
The G30 530i is obviously on a different level in terms of luxury and comfort, but I will always recommend buying new. Always. A 2017 530i would indeed be around the same price as a new 320i now (before discounts), but also remember that the used car would only have 2 short years of warranty left, and you'll have plenty of wear and tear bits and pieces to repair/replace soon after.
Also the G20 320i is the more dynamic, better handling car to drive. For my money, that's the one I would get.
this rims looks nice than the 330.. but the tyres! agree on the AEB is a must! very good unbiased review! but to be fair.. the w205 is about 6 years old..

Will it be ready for incoming Android auto?
According to BMW, Android Auto support will come to cars with Operating System 7.0 soon. This 320i however runs version 6.0, so it's unlikely to get it.

Arranging now. But honestly, the latest C200 AMG Line isn't going to change much of my views here. In short, get the C200 for its interior, get the 320i for everything else.

@@nemzt98 I've seen a bunch of reviews of the A class interior as well as the A class sedan and a lot of them show the centre console rattle and shake along with the AC controls. It looks more modern for sure but BMW doesn't compromise on quality of their dash.

Hafriz, can u do a review for the newly updated BMW G20 320i (batch july 2021 onwards)?
I heard they changed the analogue meter clusters as well as included iDrive 7.0 with bigger screen among other changes.
Still juggling between 330i vs 320i.
I like the more composed suspension in 320i but the 2019 320i had the ugly analogue meter cluster wic makes the car looks too cheapened down and makes me want to buy the 330i instead.
Really hope the newly improved 2021 320i is better but i havent seen anyone reviewing the car in youtube so far.

In the end, how comfortable your financial is. If ots no issue, btr go for 330i for engine performance n comfort. Remember, once u upgrade to bmw 30i from 20i, abit hard to move lower.

If this car comes with trashy sound system I wonder how those sounds in the cheaper car like Myvi for example? Even the Kia Forte sound system sounds good as hell with those bass and clarity.

This video was recorded last week, 2 days before the updated C200 was released. But that changes very little in the context of this video, really. Even with the new engine (a downtuned version of what was already on the C300), the G20 is still dynamically ahead.
In that case, i will test drive this BMW before booking the new C200.Thanks Bro .👍👌
john Ng you're welcome! I had the pre-facelift W205 C300 for 3 years before changing to a facelifted C200 Coupe (1.5L EQ Boost) last year. Dynamically the latest BMW is ahead, but there are still quite a few reasons to get the Mercedes too. I still wouldn't part with that interior, for instance 😉

Just retrofit the new digital cluster and head unit with Id7 a few years down the road when it starts to look dated. By then it should be widely available and cheap to do so. Problem solved.

BMW only rolled out Android Auto support globally last month. Will take a while to reach Malaysia.
You can still buy a G20 now and when android auto comes to Malaysia, you can air update your BMW for free

As I mentioned in a few other replies here, this video was shot before the latest C200 AMG Line was announced. I am taking the updated car for review this weekend, so do stay tuned.
But, having owned the 2.0 litre per-facelift W205 C300 for three years before my current facelift 1.5 litre C200 Coupe, it's safe for me to say to not expect the new 2.0 litre C200 to be a huge improvement over the 1.5 litre version. The sports suspension is a bit of a worry too. But we'll see.

Good review Hafriz. Once the 330i has the Adaptive M sports suspension, it will solve the rough ride problem. It really doesn’t make sense to the fixed M sports suspension on the Msian bumpy roads on the 330i. Can’t imagine spending 200+k getting a cheapened & outdated interior on a 320i, rather spend the additional 45k...but but butt you will then get the choking suspension problem that your family can’t live it 😤😭🤦🏻
Yeah. I think the suspension is a bigger issue than the interior, so if it's me, I'll choose the 320i.
Hafriz Shah Yes agree to your point...but come on...a 200+ plus 300k car to have ‘cut corners’ here and there, cannot la. Im sure a 330i owner wouldn’t mind 1-3k more for a comfier ride that is needed to get the ‘family approval’ to get it. Come on la BMW Msia...you can do better. 😉

It's not a fair comparison, as the S60 T8 is priced out of contention in this entry-level compact exec range. But you can refer to my S60 T8 video for comparisons against the 330i.
