The test is not comparable in that the BMW is the M Sport spec and the Mercedes only the Sport. AMG Line v M Sport would be more aligned.

They drop the AMG line for C200, now only avantgarde - and even that the AMG line was just the appearance/trim, and not the real AMG performance.

@@drbenirusani M Sport is too trim/appearence, bigger alloys and harder suspension and bigger brakes. M Sport is not the same than M. AMG line same thing, not same than AMG model. C saloon/estate has older look than new G30 BMW and some features are older than other Mercedes. W205 don`t have MBUX system or drive automatically car without driver to garage. W205 Merdeces is inside and luggage much smaller than Audi A4 B9 or BMW G30.

I have owned F30 320i xDrive basic line and Audi A4 B9 Avant 2.0 gasoline front wheel drive. Now I have Mercedes-Benz C200 4matic Avantgarde. It is inside and luggage smaller than those but it looks and feels inside and outside more luxurious than those cars. It is also more comfortable with suspension than those and also the quietest.

Jaakko Niskanen Yes. I agree with you. M ‘sport’ means it has the M external appearances/trim, it doesn’t have the real M engine performance. Same with AMG ‘line’ 🙂

BMW is the driver's machine but it's lost something in the design department, need to go back over a decade to their 2010 model and just look at their coupe to feel, "wow, this is a nice machine". Since then they went on a Honda like spree to add "funkiness" to their design. Mercedes in comparison has done a much better job of keeping their design language and while modernizing it.

I test drove both of these today and drove the medium trim. Have to say i was extremely disaatisfied.
Kia Sorento Gt line gives more tech and even better quality real leather inside. The benz and 3 series lane keep assist doesnt work properly and didnt have radar cruise control which sorento did. Also none of these german cars come with panoramic sunroof.

Mersedes faster with 2.0 l 204 hp

W205 new C200 model has 184 horsepower not 204. It have 1,5 turbo engine with ecoboost-system. Ecoboost system gives 14 horsepower more power and 160nm more torque in some situations.
