I feel oddly satisfied as a Finnish person living in UK to watch English person staying in Finland eating some salmiakki. I vote for some more salmiakki eating videos!! And btw they sell salmiakki here as well so you can enjoy your dose of salmiakki even when in UK.

Except for dogs. I think dogs think the fish-bites from pet store taste like fish... if they consider taste at all. but some things make them all excited so... maybe there's a version for cats too?
Salmiakki isn't all *that* peculiar. All Nordics have those... Finland has *tar*. Now that's peculiar flavor.
And fish- taste? What fish... salmon, pike, herring.... you think they all taste the same? Salmon alone, how cooked? Cold-smoked, warm-smoked, oven, raw-salted.... I wish someone managed to put cold-smoked salmon taste into a candy.
Btw in finland he have thing called ''Toothbrush'' :D

Anyone else had a struggle between watching the white hairline and actually watching the video?
It's funny how in most countries people enjoy only very mild tastes and are overwhelmed if anything tastes even little bit stronger than that. The point of salmiakki and sour candies is to tickle your taste buds, no need to eat a whole bag of them at a time. Then again seeing your newer videos I can see that you have already acquired the Nordic way of enjoying food and sweets.

The moment you find salmiakki good, you've begun the process of becoming a Finn.
Here's some random translations of the candy names
Lakritsivaahto = liquorice foam
Vihreä raketti = Green rocket(ship)
Mustikkavadelmapuoliskot = Blueberry and raspberry halves
Suolaiset naamat = Salty faces lmao
Kirpeä silli = Sour herring
Noitapilli = Witch's pipe/flute
I chuckle every time when you say Oho! Don't know how many times Ive said that when I mess up something, it sounds so genuine too! :D
Now I want to have all the salmiakki ever.
There is long road ahead for you to become a finn, but you are coming... like a winter. There is a 4 ways to do this. The way of "4S's" and you only have to do 3/4 of them.
1. Sing or play a one song/play made by "Sibelius" (the most known composer in finland).
2. Be in "Sauna" that is atleast 80°C (176°F) for a 30mins. (tempetures might rise with the company)
3. "Sukeltaa" from the end of the pier in to the lake, when you run out from the sauna. (Don't do this in winter time, though you can go to "avanto-uinti" in winter time, but that's for the hard core finns.)
4. Eat the whole bag or drink a whole bottle (0,7L or 237USoz) of salty liquorice candy or booze (a.k.a. "Salmiakki" Kossu).
Conspiracy theory: no finn actually likes those candies, we just keep them around so we can make foreigners eat them and have a good laugh

Noitapilli and Turkish Pebers are the best ones of those you ate in this video. If you haven't tried yet, you should absolutely try Turkish Peber Volcano, those are great ones :D

It seems you're starting to like salmiakki :) You really should try Apteekkarin salmiakki. You can get that from pharmasist in Finland and its also sold as a liquid mixer. I think it's the most origin and best salmiakki there is.
If you start to like liqourish and salmiakki that just means you're just starting to get accostumed to the finnish tastebuds :D

Get some markkinalaku, either those small bags from stores or 70cm big ones, best format of liquorice. There is also some unholy things that can be done with a bag of grounded turkinpippuri candy and a liter of vanilla ice cream..
There is a candy that is like mustikka-vadelmapuoliskot but its green and yellow and tastes like lemon and its the best ever.
