The JWs are forgetting the first example of celebrating a birth day. That's is Luke chapter 2. When the angels and the shepherds celebrated Christ's birth. No one died that day.
@@as-yv7ur but being born wasn’t approved by God? Didn’t He say to be fruitful and multiply? Pretty sure He approved of birth. Jesus’ birth day was even celebrated and he was brought gifts.
The reality of the situation is that you only have one birthday in your life - the day you were born. That is the only time you can actually say “Happy Birthday” to the infant. Every year thereafter, when that date comes around, we celebrate the ANIVERSARY of that date - it's not a “birth-day”
Jehovah's Witnesses regard the term "JW's" as derogatory. I guess we could shorten born again Christians into BACs seeing as it seems legitimate to describe other groups by their initials.
its probably only a matter of time before the watchtower forbids anniversaries and graduation parties. just wait to till sanderson dissolves the governing body and "new-light's" himself as the main man...
The cake with candles, making wishes and the witches hat, plus the fact that most people lose their mind on their birthdays is enough for me. Children only thinking about what they get and adults using it as an excuse to get drunk, especially when you turn 21, thats serving Bacchus. Celebrating the gift of life is fine
wonderful explanation. this shows that you have studied the bible in a proper way. Almighty God Jehovah's spirit can be seen on you. excellent excellent

Where is that in the bible. I always thought birthdays were pagan.
@Lorraine 89 What's your point? It's the principle behind birthday's. Google it.
@@debbie8023 because marriage was approved by God and even celebrated.

Remember the Bible also says to not lean upon your own understanding. Your leaders are speculating about the meaning of those two accounts.
