- A lens hood for the Dji Osmo Action 4 WOW!
Talking about the lens hood that was in the box with the camera, and how ND-filter and polarizing filter from the Osmo Action 3 fit on that new model 4.
This was surprising to me. what are your thoughts on this?
iphonedo showed in his video that the iso goes somewhat down when using the hood. Probably the glass of the lens cover reflects some light, thus more light in when just the hood without glass. Not sure it is worth it though. I tried it and confirmed iso goes a bit down with the hood.
was doing some search for Telesin nd filter for Osmo action 3, their mechanism for installing nd filters is just by sliding on to the stock filter frame, so if the filter diameter for the osmo action 3 and 4 are same, than this Filter might work, it's a theory for now.
What about a lens cap? Even the lens hood is exposed to dust, dirt and scratches?😮
it is kind of useless in that regard
A K&F 37mm black mist filter will fit on the lens hood if you are looking to add a black mist filter to the OA4. I show how to do it on my channel.
It should have been a protecting cover instead me thinks
Jól értettem, az Actio 4 lencsemenete nem azonos az Action 3-al, azaz nem azonos az ND szőrők a kétféle kameránál?
Igen, ez helyes.
Nope, it's not worth it to expose your lens.
What do the little blue circle do?
Did you ever figure this out?
nope i still have no clue @@DigiDriftZone
yes, I would like to know what the 4 blue plastic circles are used for
Its for the screw thing when you attach it to different mounts it act as a washer so it doesn't come loose from vibration got this from a forum
Do you get better light performance with the lens hood? Can you just buy the lens hood by itself? Or only comes in the combo? Also do you know if they sell screw on zoom lens?
That lens hood only covers the gap between lens and filter thread. It comes with the camera. Idk about zoom lenses, the filters from OA3 do not fit !
@@mygiguser Right! But do you get better low light performance? Since no other glass is covering the main glass?
@@prophetseven728 yes
I have this camera and I am struggling to understand which lens cover needs to be attached for use underwater? The sticker on the packaged lens hood is referring to the one without glass?
yes, the packaged lens hood is without glass, and it opens the camera in a way that it becomes NOT waterproof. The lens with glass, and the red silicone ring makes it waterproof, if all the doors are shut, and all the seals in good and clean condition.
Would it still be useable for skiing?
absolutely not!!!
@@mygiguser that’s odd as l got told differently from DJI
Where can I buy this?
It came with the camera!
@@mygiguser ah ok thx m8😁👍
How much of a difference does it make in video?
i don't know yet, just testing right now.
Its not waterproof with the lens hood fitted
yes, it's not
😊😊👍👍
what a boring review. lol
What a pointless comment. lol
Alright. Not worth it IMO. I guess it's nice to have?
