Do you guys have grommets too? I generously received your seats as a Christmas present. I took off the grommets underneath my 1969 Mustang to get to the bolts, but the grommets fell apart. Do you guys sell the replacement grommets? Thank
How would I go about it if I want to keep the stock looking seats but still want the lower height, further slide, and recliner as well. The features are exactly what I'm looking for but I'd would really like to keep the same style seats to keep it looking original.
I get that it is for safety reasons but the extra height of the seat kinda ruins some of the lines of the 1st gen. The original seats kinda hid behind the door, just under the view of the door glass. That allows for a smooth, straight, door line without the interior effecting this line. Think Ill stick to the original frame unless TMI can fix this issue.
They didnt get into the car. They are advertising seats that won't work because they sit to high. Anyone above 5"9 will struggle with their head smashed against the roof and legs up to high on steering column. Tmi seats are great looking seats, and cjpony you guys have nice deals and great services, but why would you be selling us products that are flawed. If you have a 70 mustang the tmi dash also doesn't fit. Thank you tmi and cjpony. Losing respect points for selling bad products.
They put the one piece headliner in the car. So you gain about two more inches in height. I am right at 5'9" so I don't have any problems with my 67 fastback.
I did a restoration of a 69 Mach 1 and wanted the stock look with the red stripe across the upper part of the buckets but a seat that would kind of wrap around me. The guy who did my interior showed me TMI's web sight. I purchased their Mach 1 custom seat and when the interior was completed I had one hell of a time. My thighs were rubbing the lower part of the steering wheel and my head was brushing the new headliner. I even put the car away for the winter with 50 pounds on each seat hoping come spring I might have a little head room but it did no good. I noticed the CJ Pony parts guy didn't get in the car with this latest up date. Would have liked to have seen him get in and out with ease.
The blue and yellow seems like odd colors to put on the same car, but it surprisingly sits well on that one. I have to say, though, the interior color was a mistake. Brown and tan interior does not mesh with the blue and yellow exterior, especially when the blue and yellow are the trim colors. Bad choice guys...
I bought a set of theses from CJ, they are very nice, however, if you are unfortunate like me and make the mistake of ordering more than just the seats from CJ, they will open one of the two boxes (TMI seat box) and place other items in the box, then the rocket scientists do a half assed job of securing the box. When I received my seats two moths ago, the one box was open and the side covers for the seats were lost in shipping. Not sure how many viewers have tried to communicate with CJ's as of late, but you will be on hold a minimum of an hour (if you're lucky). So two months later, pictures, emails, more pictures, more emails, phone calls and as of yesterday they have come up with an email asking me if i had looked through all of the packaging!!!! I hope you have better luck than have, I've been a loyal CJ customer for 10 years, I guess we are a dime a dozen!! My advise is buy theses very nice seats some place else!
Where do I get those seat mounting brackets? What is the part number?
is the tubular seat frame really *not even painted?!* 2:50
Could you make a video with replacement Tachometer and Oil Pressure gauges with the 1965 Shelby GT350 pod mounts above where the radio would be?

You could always tint your windows but then you run into legal issues and it might not fit with many peoples restorations.

What color is the upholstery on the 50/30? Was that custom and/or can I order that?
It was custom made for the car but you might be able to get it direct from TMI.
CJ Pony Parts thanks for the info and fast reply.
What mirrors are those
Isn't the dash too close to the steering wheel?
Is that console a TMI product or was that a custom made on of console?
That is a TMI console www.cjponyparts.com/tmi-center-console-with-chrome-trim-full-length-deluxe-coupe-fastback-1965-1966/p/CON32-V/
