❤❤❤❤❤ WOW GOOD AFTERNOON Brittany AND TYLER YOU'RE AN AMAZING COUPLE WITH MUTAL UNDERSTANDING. IN GUYANA 🇬🇾 WE DON'T GET CEDAR WE USES WAMARA OR HUBBALLI HARD WOOD TO MAKE FURNITURE'S TOO .
Two suggestions. Sand your pieces before assembly if you are not going to put it through a planer. Much smother . Also i put my urethane on with a cloth. Smoother finish and less sanding. No thick spots. I too cut cedar on my land and mill it on a small saw mill. Great project. Nice job
The shelves turned out good and the Harley looks and sounds awesome. If I were to build a "chopper" I would have raked the forks a little more myself but hey... It's still a good job!
Wallace Farm&Sawmill, I learned a way to make the finish stand out better.I use Thompson Water Seal on cedar first then itakes the polyurethane stand out.
Utilitarian style of construction and choice of wood will service you well into the future. Good job on the hardtail and Britt finishes off the project. to perfection. Keep up the good work and excellent content. Thanks
You need to build a 4x8 table to work off of and get off the floor. When you get to be in your 60s like me your back will thank you. Miter saw can go on it too with still enough room to work. I’m running an LX 55, milling lumber for myself and a few extra jobs every now and then works great. Built a well house chicken coop and paneled the inside of my wife’s she shed 8x20, all milled on LX 55.
Pretty cool shelves! The bike is looking pretty darn good. Yeah, those shorty pipes will really bark on the Sporty. I run straight pipes on my Shovelhead but they're long tubes which are little more mellow. 👍👍👍
WOW - you look so different with your hat off!! I think this is the first video without your hat (for a short time) I cant imagine what it would look like - no hat and no beard! You might look younger than Brit!!!
Leave that wood open-grained for the full strength smell. No Poly finish. Put it in a closet for storing your canned goods. The added bonus, the wonderful smell will keep the pesky moths away from anything wool! And all that aromatic cedar sawdust. Sew up some muslin bags of sachet for the same purpose. Better than the horrible smelling mothballs.
Loud Paint Saves Lives. Not loud pipes. More important to be seen than heard. When I hear a loud motorcycle or car coming I look everywhere else out of fear what other drivers will do when distracted. Then again I am old enough I spent $2500 to upgrade the suspension on my Yamaha FJR for better handling and ride. Was due at 50,000 miles. Not too important if one rides 25 miles. Very important for 250 miles.
Please, please, please...can you provide links for the music you use in your videos? Awesome looking shelf and that chopper is pretty cool, too. Also, sometimes I see some smoke comin' off the burn pile...can you show us 'closet arsonists' what's burning? FIRE, FIRE! Y'all take care and be safe...
"...building with the best smelling wood ever," and then you finish your project with THREE coats of poly...sweet jesus, what a waste of a wonderful resource. The deep southern mind continues to baffle.

If they're thick enough, those off cuts make pretty good benches. That's what I do with mine. They usually sell for $100-$150 each.

Lumber and shelf project was great! Really like the bike too. Old school stance! Don't lose it in that 8 foot high corn though, will ya? 8^) Cheers.

Nice! Nice! Nice! Remember, "loud is safe"!
That’s my thinking!

Man, when I saw you take that hat off and saw that fresh haircut, I said to myself, "that boy got to be from Starkville, or maybe Tuscaloosa"!😅😅🤣🤣😁😁
Eastern Red Cedar. Properly named Virginian Juniper (Juniperus Virginiana). It is, for absolute certainty, the best spelling wood known to mankind.
You're the best spelling comment here!😜
Good video, nice project 👍 I heard a bit of a rattle when you were sawing, sounded like sheet metal. Blade guard maybe?
Looks great I have a old family hope chest made out of cedar just a little bigger
Whew ya'all are squaring up the cedar log what do you do with scrap
Love your channel what ever happened to the sawmill you were restoring and building a place for it? Much love
Sold. Still have my Corley
What is the best climate for growing cedar
Refined my Mother's hope chest. My Mother's house had 3 large cedar closets the moths stayed away
Now is that shelving for her appaliances in doors or for your shop tools ..
Indoors

Will do!
That second log was surely barking quite alot.
How long are trees kept before cutting up?
How much do you want for some of the furniture that you make
Stay saafe.
The grain looks a bit like cedar. Am I close?
Eastern Red Cedar
What kind of wood?
Brittney sure knows how to hang on tight ,out on your bike.
I'D USE OIL GET THAT CEDAR SCENT
I like it ship me 2 of them
Only thing. You need to square up that chop saw. Your shelves are not square on the ends.
Is that your canning Britney
I would have morticed the shelves into the sides.
Spanish Cedar is the best smelling wood there is
Birch is a Good Smelling Wood To Brother but Poplar to me has a nasty smell when first cut.
Agreed!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill Great Videos Brother
I would do mine a lot different I'd give you some cash and have you build it for me!!
make sure to put on helmets when bike riding
It’s better to sand it before you assemble it

Hey Tyler. I will trade you 2000 board feet for Britney.
