    Super boombox-ul!
Am și eu modelul gf4646, nu prea vad diferențe între ele, probabil ceva la schema electrica.

Did you ever find the FM radio fix?? I have a GF5454 with all bands working except FM... I wondered how you fixed it? On mine the FM band only has static/white noise. It has a sound level meter and this doesn't alter when switching through the working bands LW MW SW but when I switch to FM there is a short burst/pop sound for a millisecond and the sound level meter fully lights up for a split second... that's all I get.
Could it be the FM Front End IC1 (TA7335P) or likely something else?

      Hi,
I never did sort the GF. I actually replaced the IC with a brand new one and it made no difference. I checked the diodes, resistors and transistors, and they came out ok, so I wondered if there may even be a trace or joint issue. To be honest, I have another one that works, but has a broken switch tip, so I abandoned it with a view to pinching the switch. I'm hoping to find the time to get to the bottom of it, but it's a case of time.

Just bought myself a 4343, think they just changed the shell by the looks of it, where did you buy your belt?
I've also been having some trouble with the speakers the left one cuts out when the volume nob goes too far right and the right speaker cuts out when the volume gets turned too far left I reckon it might just need a clean but now that I've taken it apart I'm not sure what I'm looking at haha

Thanks for watching. These years of Sharp GFs did look very similar. The 4747 has a 4 way speaker system with crossover, and I think slightly more powerful - but otherwise very similar. I get my belts from Decktech. Superb service and quality.

Thanks for sharing the video. Looks a straightforward fix.
I need to replace the belt on mine so this is fantastic. Out of interest what size belt did you use?
    Thank you.

Thanks for watching. It is straightforward. Just be methodical and you'll be fine. I'm not sure exactly which size belt I used, as I took one from stock - but you can measure yours once removed, and take around 5% off the length to allow for the stretching of the old one. If yours has dissolved, you can measure the belt path and again reduce by a few millimetres for snugness. Thanks again and good luck with your service 👍

@@retro_restos Thanks for the reply. I'll get some belts. Looking forward to getting it going again 🙂

@@mprial6399 I usually keep records, but not on this occasion - sorry i couldn't be more help. A cheap bag of multi belts will get you going, and then you can always upgrade to a precision belt if its a bit fluttery - as you will have a reference belt for sizing. Thanks again.
