Good work! Sad that so many people left batteries in boomboxes for years

Found a black RT-6075 today at a flea market. Went thru the same procedures as you did - my belt looked exactly like yours, definately the worst I've ever had as well. Was very dirty from the outside which was easy to clean. Insides strangely extremely clean with mine as well! Also very well aged electronics. No dried out cables or anything, looked basically all new!
My balance knob wasn't doing much as well. It's funny how both our machines were basically in the identical state. Really great boombox, glad to see more of them being well serviced!
Was very delighted all in all how easy it was to maintain this player after the horrors of going thru the restauration of two Sharp VZ-2500 last year.

These Toshiba,s are quite easy to take apart, on some of the ones I had in the past I found dry joints around the electric cable in socket other than that fairly reliable units..

Anybody know where the speed pot is located on these toshibas?...my tape sounds a little slow so i have to adjust it. I just cant for the life of me find the speed pot for the cassette mechanism 😢
