Thorpe Park Behind the Scenes Tour 2022

- Thorpe Park invited me into the theme park to check out all of the brand new additions for the 2022 season! From the construction site for the brand new rollercoaster: Project Exodus, to a new playground, the 'new' ride for 2022: Highstriker and the new ride access hub! I even get to see the removal site of the classic Thorpe Park water ride: Wet Wet Wet!
The theme park opens for the first time in 2022 on March 19th for the Merlin Annual Pass preview day, meaning we can all get back on some of the UK's best rollercoasters such as Stealth, The Swarm, SAW, Nemesis Inferno and Colossus!
A big thankyou to Thorpe Park for allowing me to film this video and to Russ for showing me around the park!

It’s genuinely nice to see them put the playground in. They were under no obligation to replace Rocky express or timber tug, but the fact they’ve recognised the impact on younger children shows they care. Kudos
I didn’t think about this the first time I saw the update video: The park/play area is a mini god send for parents mistaking this park as a place where smaller children can go on most of the rides. It gives them something else to do!

Lots and lots of updates within the park but it’s going to be awesome to go back to the parks ones again for a amazing thrill and skirl on the rides ones again

Great video Jack, once again. Russ seems a top quality bloke. Personally, I'd love t see Thorpe just turn into an all out thrill park, removing kids rides completely. Legoland and Chessington serve the younger audience brilliantly, so I don't think it would particularly do too much harm.
Every park needs both family and thrill rides because u need something for all family to do, however it’s fine if thorpe park are more thrill focused as long as they have a few family rides (like at Cedar Point)

Watching this video has started my weekend off positively, seeing Russ being very excited and passionate about what he does is amazing, we are all in for a cracker of a season at Thorpe this year, it is going to be incredible!

I like this about Thorpe Park with regular minor improvements & food unit updates. I wish Alton Towers was more like that, with them its a new ride or nothing

The park is starting to look fantastic so glad they are putting in much needed effort to bring it's back to its former glory. Just they missed the perfect opportunity to give Colossus a repaint and some desperate TLC on its 20th birthday. And god please will they remove Storm Surge its such an eyesore!! But great video as always Jack x

There is always a funny tension between Russ and Jack, Russ is trying not not reveal too much working his way around the questions, and you can tell Jack is trying to hold back his opinions, because obviously you got to show some respect if you're being allowed to film. Jack looked like he was trying to hold back his opinion on the varsity tshirts.

I was hoping that thorpe and chessington would take a leaf out of Alton’s book with wickerman and install viewing windows /screens into the construction walls.
Also with exciting news that there’s some more plans in the work over exodus… with wet wet wet going on tour and the beach being basically redundant, Depth charge being really old and the access pass hit relocated, if depth charge was to go that would open up a huge area for development! Or by wet wet wet going on tour, do you think we will see new beach enhancements and new water chutes coming?
I wonder if we’ll still get annual pass discount with the new food suppliers

The blue slides you’re-thinking of is called Depth Charge! Wet Wet Wet was three water slides just next to Depth Charge that went into Amity Beach 😃
