Very helpful video about the duct cleaning process and what we should look for when selecting a company to do this work. Isaac is a very clear and comprehensive instructor. Even though we don't live in Ohio, your video will be quite useful for us. Thank you so much!
I am a Filipino working as ASCS here in Saudi ARABIA, and I would love to join your company to appreciate in person the quality service you offer to your customers. Godspeed.
@@jz.3218 Not yet but the remodeling is almost done and the house will need a good cleaning. Our neighbor is trying out a company in the next few weeks and he's very picky. Are you looking in the Marietta area too?
I watched your informative video which set my expectations of what would be checked and cleaned. I have yet to speak to a company who can tell me that. I get a bid emailed to me with no explanation of what is included. When I ask, I get vague answers, i.e. "the tech can answer all of your questions when they arrive.". I live in Central Oregon and would like to encourage you to open an office here. We have beautiful mountains, rivers and skiing in our back yard. 😃. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to make this.
First video I have found that shows the contractor using a respirator and/or face mask. Also first video that actually explained the pros and cons of each tool they use and why and how they use these tools as well as their options based on your duct system.
I have been doing this since 2004, best advice I can give is always offer the customers earplugs... The wand is super loud and its amazing how much they appreciate it... and watch out for cats, they HATE us.
This is very helpful, I live in Lancaster California, so I’ll have to find a company near by but this video has shown me what I should expect from this type of service. Thank you so much 👍👍👍
I live in Florida so Ohio is out of the question... 😃Your description of the process is quite helpful for reference. We are going to have a new HVAC System put in and since we were flooded by Hurricane Ian I was pondering it.
Thank you for this video. I have bad anxiety and we have duct cleaning scheduled for next week. My anxiety has been so high because I dont know what to expect. This video helped with that. Although I do still worry that the hose wont be able to reach our duct system.... but I'm sure techs have dealt with worse home layouts than ours and managed just fine. This didnt cure my anxiety, but it did help me learn what to expect. So again, thank you.
I used Fire & Ice (Corona, California) for the first time last week, to service my parents’ HVAC system. I was really pleased with them. I live in a double wide mobile home near parents’ home, and have been having a problem with dampness in the crawl space under my home. The home is set in a permanent foundation made of cinder blocks. There is no vents to the crawl space, just the entrance through a hinged door, like a storm shelter. The underneath is held up by the piers. I have lived here for 5 years, and since last winter, I’ve been getting a horrible smell coming into my house- musty, is the best is to describe it. I smell it more when I sniff down by the floor registers, which I keep covered with magnetic covers when I’m not using the heater or AC. I had the moisture barrier repaired under the house, hoping that would help, and on nice days, I hook open the crawl space door, and run a 12” industrial fan to try to push ventilation under the house. Will duct cleaning help this?
I just got a new heat and air. So I wanted to get my ducts cleaned before furnace was installed. Couldn’t happen so a month after install they came to clean. They hooked a Vacuum to where my filter goes. Each vent had a hose with air shooting out so to dislodge dust. I’m sure dust/dirt was sucked right into my new air conditioner and furnace. I definitely got a bad job. Who could I call to have their work checked and reported.
We just moved to a new house and I find it gets dusty so fast in the house. I am thinking that we might need to do air duct cleaning with sanitizing & disinfecting. I don’t have idea yet how much will it cost here in Alberta Canada. This video is very helpful and giving us the knowledge how air duct is perform.
This is the best video I've seen on this process. And you're the first company I've seen cleaning the air handler. Not cleaning that seems to me to be like getting an oil change but not replacing the filter. Do you have any service in Virginia Beach, Va?
We recommend cleaning when you move into a house to help with construction dust and when you move into a used house to help remove the last occupants dust (skin cells), and then every 3-5 years. A truck mounted vacuum system is the only proper way. Indoortemp.com/ductcleaning has a video to show you the proper process
Some of my ductwork is wrapped in asbestos insulation - can I still have my ductwork cleaned? I realize this differs from area to area but is there a general “rule of thumb”?
This video has helped me decide to go with a company that charges more, but has truck-mounted equipment. Now I know why their bid is a few hundred dollars more than the company that probably just has a portable unit and vacuums the vents.
I have a home built in 1956. The duct systems are metal, much different than today's modern homes. I was told by a company here in So. California that it was not recommended because they would be damaged. How much truth is there in that statement. I would like to clean the ducts in my home. Thank you.
This video does show the process thoroughly. But, I have one question. What clowns better, blowing air or touching the surface physically? The second one beats the first by far! The air will leave plant if fine dust stuck in the ducts as nothing is touching it (this is true al the time for older duct systems). I am still using air but considering to switch to brushes as I still see fine dust in the ducts that air cannot remove. The shiny ducts showed in the video is not a real life scenario. You guys di care for your customers, but I think you're taking short cuts. The best way to remove dust is to stuck it right at the point of removal, otherwise you're spreading it around and (maybe) pick up 85% of it (if that). Respect.
We stopped using brush systems because they are not thorough. We do not take shortcuts, that’s why We stopped using a $12K brush machine and are now using a $125K truck mounted system with NADCA certified technicians. Thank you, we do care for our clients.
Why? Because we use top of the line equipment? Because we have all the national certifications? Because we adhere to the highest quality standards? Because we have thoroughly trained staff?

My question is using the truck mounted system you say you're able to clean the whole system. What would the point of spraying a disinfectant be then?
