Dude: You made your point!. I live in Texas and was going to hire somebody off of Facebook marketplace but I know better now. Will do my research. Thanks for this info!.
Definitely make sure the company you hire uses the push/pull method which is what you see here. Ask them if they use brushes or whips. Whips is what you want. They dont have to have a truck mounted vac but hopefully the portable one they use has high enough CFM to actually clean your ducts. Also the cost should be at least $350-$500 for a standard family home. If you see a lower advertised price, they arent even making enough to operate and they will most likely not be using the proper equipment or they will be upselling you up the wazoo and your end price will be 2x or more what it should be

Retired General Contractor, HVAC, Mold, etc... He is exactly right, all other methods of cleaning ducts are total BS, easily provable by having an air quality test done before and after. Additionally, you have no idea how much damage those brushes can do to older ducts, and holes in your ducts are the biggest issue with air quality in the first place. If your ducts are so bad you need to beat them with a brush, you are better off just replacing them.

Most of them say this, not sure what to do. I have a brain injury from mold and am still very sick, it is imperative I get the right company so I don't get sicker. Oh man I wish I did I would pay in a second! But mold illness has broke us financially. We have lost everything and are having to start over, plus the regular medical world doesn't recognize mold toxicity so my insurance doesn't pay for my medical needs. I am so sick, lost my vision and everything. It has been the hardest season of our lives💔 I just want to be safe in my new home, and to get well so I can be the best mom and wife again. Thank you for your videos and your kindness.
I have fine talcum-powder-like dust in my ducts. It's cat litter dust, as I made the mistake of putting litter boxes in the same room as my return air. Every time a cat scratched in the box or I cleaned the box, litter dust was released into the air and sucked into the system. Six years ago, I put my litter boxes on the screen porch and installed a cat door so the cats always have access. But that litter dust is _still_ in the ducts and _still_ gets blown all over the house, especially in dry or windy weather or when atmospheric pressure changes. Whatever is not airborne, forms a dirty film on counter tops, furniture, floors that must be wiped with a damp cloth. Blowing or vacuuming does not get it off. Any advice? Should I just get my ducts replaced?
Instead of dogging on all the others in your whole video, tell me how I know your method is better than any of the others other, and how do I know what you say is not just your opinion? Do you have a way to show test results that it is better?
Lol, as I mention in the beginning of the video, “this is my opinion.” 😂 There was also some testing and demonstrations in the video as well. This video was created to show the different types of equipment on the market. You do not have to agree with my opinions about them. 😉 You’re welcome to watch another video and leave mine if you choose. Thanks for stoping by! 😊
Yeah, would have been nice to see an actual demonstration of a cleaning. Maybe a plexiglass duct filled with what you would normally find in an air duct. Then show how well each method works. Because I never really got a good idea of how their system even works. I'm guessing that they do the exact same thing as everyone else with the spinning brush. Then they send the air whip in to blow out whatever is left? Do other companies not do that part? What exactly is different other than a fancy van and more suction which may or may not matter?
Is air duct cleaning recommended for all types of ducts? When we had a new AC put in we were thinking of getting the air ducts cleaned. The AC guy said we shouldn’t because we don’t have metal ducts but ducts more like the one on a dryer which can be damaged by the cleaning process. What is recommended for those types of vents? Thanks
talking bad about other companies and the machines they use makes yourself seem desperate for business. at the end of day customers want to decide which company is good or bad. they dont want you deciding for them. when you go in cadillac they dont talk bad about lincoln cars engines etc. and lincoln doesnt talk bad about Cadillac and if they did it would seem weird like what you’re doing. Also, you can have the strongest truck mount blah blah and still do a crappy job.

It can not.
It looks just like the ones a I've used for it . What machine is that. Thanks for the quick reply!
total misrepresentation of the RamAir system...
Get them cleaned!
Instead of dogging on all the others in your whole video, tell me how I know your method is better than any of the others other, and how do I know what you say is not just your opinion? Do you have a way to show test results that it is better?
Lol, as I mention in the beginning of the video, “this is my opinion.” 😂
There was also some testing and demonstrations in the video as well. This video was created to show the different types of equipment on the market. You do not have to agree with my opinions about them. 😉
You’re welcome to watch another video and leave mine if you choose.
@@101perspective watch some of our other videos. We show exactly what you’re asking for! 😊
Thanks
Yes, definitely clean those flex ducts
talking bad about other companies and the machines they use makes yourself seem desperate for business. at the end of day customers want to decide which company is good or bad. they dont want you deciding for them. when you go in cadillac they dont talk bad about lincoln cars engines etc. and lincoln doesnt talk bad about Cadillac and if they did it would seem weird like what you’re doing. Also, you can have the strongest truck mount blah blah and still do a crappy job.
Thanks for watching my video 😊
Fantastic video and so much truth about all the ineffective ways! We really need cleaning. Do you know someone in the Sarasota, FL area who can perform similar quality of service as you just showed? Many thanks for all the info!
I don’t. sorry.
It work with fiberglass ducts?
This is awesome and I would hire you but you aren’t in TX. I found Stanley steemer to be NADCA certified and they stated the use of negative pressure vacuum. Looks the same as the one you showed in your video. Thanks and if you are ever in Austin TX feel free to reach out and I will treat you to some great BBQ. My way to pay you back for the free info on your video.
Thanks!
Just ask them to send a NADCA certified technician. NADCA does not certify companies, only individual people.
@@HYPERIAQ oh that’s good to know. Thanks. We have way too much dust in the house. House is 9 yrs old. I am sure nobody has cleaned the house since.
I am interested to start this business in Canada what equipment do you recommend me to buy? What equipment do you use?
I think this video should answer that question.
Hey Brother is there a company you could recommend in AZ? So far I have only found these generic ads but nothing official or that specializes in air duct cleaning with pro gear like yours. I was told neatnfresco but have never heard of them. Any feedback would help🙏
Google and bbb will be your best bet
@@HYPERIAQ Thank you! Last but not least. What should we ask for or look for when getting an air duct cleaning done ? Its the first time we will get a cleaning done since 2004! Currently allergies are strong inside the house, we have 2 small dogs, and unfortunately live in an area with lots of dust and dirt nearby. 2 story home with carpets. Any advice for best cleaning and getting rid of allergies for top clean air would help
@@EM-km8em I think you’ll find all the answers you’re looking for in this video your commenting on plus some of our other videos.
Can asbestos ducts be cleaned the same way using the big suction machine?
No
Great video. Do u know any good company with reasonable price they do near Schaumburg Illinois for a 1500 sq condo.
Thanks
We have a location in your area
@@HYPERIAQ Thank you Boss.
Dang, I was trying to find someone in Colorado to clean my air ducts…..now I want this guy to come here. Awesome video.
@@kevinwalterbond9626 that can be arranged!
liked, subscribed, and will be sharing…. especially with the potential company i hire to do my place in Myrtle beach to see what how they respond.
😊
My quest is why did you show how the small hyper machine work in the shop n the tools from the truck? Not the monster that no one is getting service from in your shop. Just curious n please respond?
What brand is that big old vacuum, does it come in a set?, How do I go on about investing in this set up
Is flex duct with the insulation exposed on the inside a problem to clean?
I just love your video.. So, how long will it take to reach eastern PA?
Hi, I contacted a local company, they said they will also spray a anti-microbial thing in my duct, that will cost me $99. Do you think that's necessary?
Yes
I like the reverse valve for the whip.
Get up passed the elbow a bit and pull it all back to the vac
Im getting mine done tomorrow I can't wait to see what they have. Anymore advice? Oh they're asking $200
No real certified company would perform this service for $200.
So when I’m looking for a company to clean ducts what language do I use to ask them what equipment they use? What is the big one called? A big negative air machine ?
I'm so fn happy I found his video, wish I could hire this guy for my house! Hey Hyper know anyone in Sioux Falls,SD like you?
Actually I do know a great company in your area! Go to bookhyper.com and fill out our contact form, I’ll forward it to the guys I know in your area!
@@HYPERIAQ sounds great thank you! Filling out the contact form now
Watching your video made me very excited about air duct cleaning machines. What do you recommend for people who are really allergic find particle paint dust? I got a new house but it’s got a bit of fine white dust from the construction in the vents. Do you think someone who advertises that they use HEPA cleaning systems to clean is better than anyone else? Because I got a quote, it seems quite high.
I would use only companies that are NADCA certified and use vacuum trucks
How do I find a service like yours in my area? What questions should I ask to make an informed decision? Also, I am inquiring for an older lady who has 30 plus years of smoke (tar) in her ducts that has penetrated every area of her condo.
I’d start with google then BBB them and ask if they use gas powered equipment.
@@HYPERIAQ thank you
Very informative. Now I'm uneasey on who to hire to clean my ducts in Mckinney Texas. Can you recommend someone?
Do the whips blow air out? How does the debris get sucked back into the truck through that large hose?
yes
You are the savior of real duct cleaning for this video!!! Worked for a real company before becoming a HVAC tech!!! And that is the only way!!
At 2.24 🤣🤣
Thank you sir!
Do you clean the ducts before or after the furnance?
Both
