I try 4 of the best unpeated 16 year old single malts out there. We have Balvenie 16 Triple Cask, Longmorn 16, Fettercairn 16 4th release and Mortlach 16. These are all premium offerings with above average price tags but are they worth it? Let's find out!

Good review! I agree about Balvenie, though I do like Caribbean Cask. I look forward to trying the Mortlach and Longmorn! Slainte

Thank you! Yeah the Caribbean Cask is a much better whisky with loads more character than this one but it still is way too expensive for what it delivers, for me of course :)

Great video Sertug! Would love to get my hands on that Longmorn 16 year old. Heard lots of great things about that bottle. A shame about the Port influence on the Fettercairn 16 4th release. I think they are slowly figuring things out at Fettercairn, just some fine tuning. Considering picking up a bottle of the 16 3rd release or the 18 with the Scottish Oak finish. Awesome stuff man, keep it up! Have fun on the roundtable 👍

Thanks Matt, glad you enjoyed it! Well it wasn't a bad whisky, it just wasn't for me but the 3rd release spoke much more to me actually and I really enjoyed it. I haven't had the 18 though.

They both come in a posh box. Heyoooo. That Fettercairn sounds like a winner imo. Gotta get my hands on that. Congrats on 2k subs brother!!

Nice sample of unpeated 16s. I beleive the Dailuaine 16 is also unpeated and very nice. I prefer it to the Fettercairn 16 or Balvenie. How do you like that Longmorn 16 compared to the more recent 18?

Thank you! I love the Dailuaine profile but I've not tried the Flora&Fauna 16, all I had of them were IBs.
Balvenie is a total waste of money in my opinion and the Fettercairn is way too sweet. I did have release 3 of the Fettercairn and it was much more balanced.
I have not tried the Longmorn 18 yet but I do have the bottle and will crack it open soon. I'll do an 18s version of this video so let's see :)
