Great review. Although Daniel prefers the old 16 yrs Longmorn. But it is still great. The best alternative for longmorn 16 is Daniel’s poor man’s version of it. I have this as my go to blended malt. You have 2 plus bottle for less than the price of one. Do try it

Man oh man. Now I feel good that I stocked up on this one before the price hike. In my area the Longmorn 16 are still available for $125 USD. I have no alternative for it.

Daniel of the whiskey tribe likes the old version (green label) of this longmorn 16. But this one is good too. Altho I much prefer the old version

This one was inconsistent for me. Sometimes complex and the right amount of zest…other times I picked up too much bite from a 48% ABV. Solid b+ tho. A great replacement is the Glen Scotia 15…less experience, better age notes even if the fruit in the L16 are a bite fresher.
Glen Scotia 15 is also a very good whisky - but prices have good up a lot over here in the past 12 months from 48€ to now over 70€ :-(
Ok with that said I bought 9 bottles from my local shop...63 usd / 58 eur a pop :D (In Hungary)
