📌 Important Clarification on DLSS and Latency in Overwatch 2
Hey everyone! 👋
Regarding DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and its impact on system latency. Let’s set the record straight:
DLSS does not inherently increase latency. In fact, it’s designed to boost performance while maintaining high visual fidelity. The confusion might stem from a feature called Frame Generation, which is an option available to developers when implementing DLSS.
However, it’s crucial to understand that Overwatch 2 does not utilize Frame Generation as part of its DLSS implementation. Therefore, the game benefits from DLSS without any additional latency that Frame Generation might introduce.
I hope this clears up any misunderstandings. Enjoy your gaming with the enhanced performance that DLSS brings to Overwatch 2! 🖱💥
Can you please share a ss of the settings that you use that minimized pcl for you?
Sure!

Keep in mind that this is what works for me, you may be able to bump some settings up higher, or maybe you'll need to turn some down. It all depends on your rig :)
how come i get 3gb vram usage on low settings but you get 700 lol
hmm, maybe you've got some extra programs running in the background eating up your gpu? maybe a hd/uhd movie open in vlc can eat your vram too I think
@@theBreadedFish Something was wrong with Windows, reinstalling fixed it
great guide , I noticed the frame rate is very different if playing on practice range (typically I have 230fps in it at lowest settings ) or in a death match maps (330 fps) and during a real in game team fights make it go down to (100fps) sometimes IDK if it's my pc or the game but that wasn't the case back in overwatch 1 in 2018 and earlier
I have
I5 9400f
3060ti EVGA OC
16GB 2400mhz
980pro Samsung nvme
asus tuf monitor 280hz
and I can't get the full potential of my monitor
I think it's the CPU , It's trash always on 100% load in game
+ U got a sub from Iraq :)) great vid
Absolutely, the practice range doesn't have other player's running around making your pc have to work harder to dynamically render what they are doing plus you.
I believe Overwatch 2 made some changes to the game engine, so the performance will be diff from the first one for sure.
That must be so frustrating to not get a stable 280fps for your monitor 😭
It looks like your cpu is a little old (in the computer world 5 years is pretty old) so I definetly agree thats probably the culprit, you def have enough ram, nice ssd drive and your GPU is just the previous years so def should be good to go, I'm using a 4060ti gpu, i7-13700F cpu
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and subscribe, I'm very grateful
hi this is a really cool video, does this only work if you have a nvidia graphics card? sorry bit of a stupid question
Ty for the kind words. I'm not sure if Nvidia frameview works on non Nvidia gpu. I'm hoping someone comments and let's us know 😄
1080p and low settings... sadly im locked to 600fps 😞
hmm that's a bummer if you're getting 600fps and can't bump anything up without increasing latency 😥. Or are you wishing you could get fps higher than 600? The old fps cap actually used to be 300, so at least it's not that still 🙃
@@theBreadedFish 😂 waiting patiently for the unlocked option, i like hearing my GPU cry
Pardon me, but all those things that you are talking about are very well-known to everyone!
Is that so? That's excellent then, for some reason I never came across this info via overwatch guides. Maybe it will help someone else who hasn't either :)
thats not true, it may help newer players.
😂 its always one of you just like thr video and move along@@mike-no5io
