Replacing a Head Gasket on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier Part 2 ( Action Donkey Garage)

Me and my brother fixed the head gasket and hopefully got some tips for you.

Thanks guys for the simplicity of this. I'm about to do this for my daughter and our 01 cavi. Will ask this though....when it comes to removing the distributor cap....does it simply go on the way it comes off?

We left all the wires on the distributor and with blue masking tape marked the cylinders 1 through 4 by the spark plugs.
The distributor goes back the same way it comes off.

Do i need to get each cylinder to tdc

No you do not touch the timing belt

@@AndrewJohnson-yt1nl this motor is not a ohc. This is a pushrod engine. To replace the head gasket there was no need to pull the bottom end a part.
