    You are the first person I have found who talks about binging/bulimia exactly the way my experience has been. Thank you so much for making these videos. Still currently in state A, but not feeling so helpless after watching your videos.

    Thank you for your honesty, Sarah. I had an epiphany listening to you…I kind of knew but was never able to articulate that dissatisfaction with food is a trigger for me too. If I eat something I am dissatisfied with, especially after a restriction, I eat and eat and eat in an effort to find that satisfaction that I was denied. And I’ll eat everything and anything and I’ve NEVER been satisfied during a binge, now that I think about it. NEVER. This was really eye-opening and is something I need to reflect on long and hard in order to get a handle on it better. But I cannot thank you enough for bringing it to my attention. I’m truly grateful. Thank you!

    What u said made sense, I suffered in the last 3-4 years with Binge eating and Bulimia on and off. Once I managed to stay on State B for 6 months, then crisis happened in my life and I went to state A again.
    I struggled on my own, I found your channel very comforting and very helpful. I listened to your book in my spare time, over and over again.
    Since I discovered yr channel, I have been recovered ..second week so far 🙏

    Totally agree, was exactly what I found too! It's about time spent there. and also about the fact that most people need to be "drugged"with sugar to just...not think anymore. and when you're free, you're...basically exposed to being alone.

    Girl...Ive been having trouble signing into my yt account so i just started watching it without being logged in... i just made a new account to be able to like this and follow... ive been binge free pretty much for a year now and made so much progress and last week i binged every day and ive been struggling SO hard with forgiving myself and moving on forward... i caught myself saying ok you wont eat for the next two days to make up for it, but i kind of knew this was the exect mindset to get me deeper in the binge spiral and make everything worse, so i searched for help and you showed up. thank youuu so much and everyone struggling with it im glad were not alone in this and im so sorry because it is absoutely horrible

    Wow, this is the best description of recovery I've ever heard. You literally articulated that concept in the way Eckhart Tolle describes spirituality, you know when you're like "Gosh YESSS you just described that in such a simple way that I connect with wholeheartedly but couldn't for the life of my find the right words!" Haha Amazing! 💚 Thank you 🙏

    Wow! I wish I had the words to how positive and settled this makes me feel. Instead of seeing it as never recovered like AA's thinking of, always an alcoholic but never a recovered one, to having moments then days of recovered. I have had a taste of that recovered state recently and the binge state only in small bits and with the presence of mind to know that recovered is just a change of thinking once again and the freedom returns. You saying that dissatisfaction with your food is really triggering, it so is for me too. I experienced that tonight! Again, I thought it was only me. LOL I just love how you light up when explaining your ah ha kind of moments that worked for you. Thank you once again...

Just today, I told my elder sister that I was tired of this weight loss journey which I keep sabotaging and almost immediately, I cautioned myself knowing I have a community of people looking upto me and I need to get this right for myself too! I also realised that not pressing reset is worse! Hence my search for help through TH-cam which lwd me to you! I feel so glad seeing this, I'll settle to watch more of your videos.. Not as much as I read from other people, but still feeling very guilty, ashamed, worthless, lost etc. I am a male btw, seems like this is mostly a woman's problems but I think there are a lot of men struggling as well ❤️‍🩹

    Your video appearing on my reccomended really feels like a blessing or a sign thank you so much! I really needed to hear this. I'd been in state b or the recovered state for a few days a while back and I was so happy I was riding high on the idea that I would never binge again. I was super proud of myself, I was really in tune with my hunger cues and would stop eating after I was satisfied and I gave myself food freedom and was trying to be less judgemental about my own body. But then yesterday I stayed up later than I normally do and ended up binging I was beyond disappointed in myself and I've been feeling so hopeless because of it. But hearing you say that recovery is closer than it may seem really helps. I like the perspective approach and how trying to see recovery as two different states can really make things feel easier and not as overwhelming. I appreciate you so much thank you

    @paulinatracz3002 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    First I want to thank you for doing what you’re doing! 💕 you are the first person talking about binge eating and recovery in a way that feels real and honest. I’ve been dealing with binge eating for years and made massive improvements with the help of watching other TH-cam videos, journaling and trying to understand myself better, however I haven’t found anyone talking about this stuff like you do - I tried no restrictions/ unconditional permission to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and I fell into overeating all the time because I felt as if without any structure, I was simply confused and had to say Yes to ALL urges/ cravings all the time. And my cravings for “processed” foods didn’t magically disappear like people say they would…
    Then I took the advice of having structure and that led me to feeling a lack of freedom again because what if I wanted an additional meal or a snack? But I was supposed to follow a structure of 3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks…
    When you talk about the states of being - that makes so much sense. I now have weeks sometimes months without binges and then when one happens, it does feel catastrophic and it does feel like I’m starting from 0, so looking at it the way you talk about it is really really helpful.

    Hi Sara! I love your channel and listen to it daily. I am single for the first time in about 20 years (that makes me feel old!) - I used to be highly co-dependent and I'm working on that for the first time in a long time. Anyway, as a single woman, I thought it would be good to lose some weight to "prepare to date" (this was at the beginning) and of course, that triggered the diet mentality, which then triggered binge eating (I have been through this before but years ago). My binge eating consists of eating loads of sugar in the very middle of the night (like, between midnight and 3 AM). I have attempted to notice the thoughts/feelings in my body when I wake up, before I go downstairs to eat. And there is of course the "f it" thoughts and associated excitement feelings in my body with "oooh sugar!" but I have also noticed these thoughts around - do I really want to be thin anyway?! If I am thin (or thinner), will that be scary? What will I focus on then and won't that push me towards being "ready" to date (e.g., once I lose the weight, then I can date). Do you have any experience with the association between holding on to weight/binge pattern as your identity and maybe a sort of an armor? I'm even wondering if I'm getting addicted to the cycle of self-sabotage and then the self-hatred in the morning. Thank you so much in advance for any thoughts or direction to a video you have already made on this topic.

      I did for around 5-6 years. The reason why I haven’t done a video about how I stopped was because it honestly felt like a decision I arrived at. I had a moment where I truly realised that the purging made my bingeing a million times worse. I could binge repeatedly and purge, but without purging, bingeing more than once a day was unlikely (occasionally happened). I haven’t done a video about it because I have no idea what to say that will help people reach that point. I wish I did.
