I like the way you're doing this, brother. You just saw something fun on TH-cam you'd like to try and jumped in the deep end and figured it out as you went. Sounds a lot like me. Willing to mess it all up until you get it right.
Good video. For what it is worth, my wife covers her face with a merino wool Buff. This collects moisture as well as keeps her face warm, and as you stated, it keeps moisture out of the sleeping bag. Looking forward to your next video!
Don't know about who's the better cook... But your wife is definitely the smarter spouse.... GO VOLS!!!! Keep in mind, #leavenotrace... New sub, diggin the channel.... 🤙🏻
She will enjoy this comment lol. She’s definitely a better cook than I am too. Thanks for the support! We make it up to Neyland at least once a year usually
I saw the video and recognized your shirt. I am from i live in rockhill but was raised in blacksburg and gaffney. Cool to see somebody from there on youtube
I had the truck tent and loved it. But was finally able to up grade to a fiberglass top. I can offer 1 tip , I would go ahead, and put the tent in the bed at home. Then at at camp , kinda a time saver just sliding in the poles after taking your bed cover off.
I appreciate the advice! I actually did that after my first video. It was so snowy and windy that I just put the poles down and drove around with my tent strapped to the back for a couple days
Thanks for the advice! I’m thinking about getting a ferro rod and see if I can get it started that way. I always keep a lighter and lighter fluid as a backup since I’m fairly new to it though
Yeah, I put my firewood in those bags also after cutting and splitting. ; - ) I also have the companion 4 man tent that attaches to the truck tent. That would be great for cooking in and general lounging in bad weather.
You just can’t beat those convenient firewood storage bags 😂. I’ve been taking a pop up canopy for rainy situations, but it takes up a lot of room. I may need to look into an extension like that
I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. You're doing a great job filming what you do. I can see your channel growing fast! Thanks for sharing! Rick From Virginia
Awesome video man! I love the yota. That color is sick! I just started making truck camping videos too. You'll have to check them out! Keep up the good work!

You hit the nail on the head! I’ll never be perfect but I’m getting better every trip! Thanks for the positive words!
I dig these videos.
I dig the Toyota also.
Thinking really hard about getting one.
Thank you!

In my most recent video I wore a face cover and it helped tremendously. Thanks for the advice!

suggestion: using a battery power blower and a lighter to get the fire going. especially getting it down to coals

@@TH-camHowTo I would probably not be as lucky as you lol
In all fairness, you didn't say the other meal was BETTER than your wife's. You said it was AS good!
YES! That is the way she heard it too, so I was safe lol
