When Rachelle talked about her x-acto knife, it reminded me of when she did a P.O. box haul back when Justin was deployed and she got like 7 box cutters because in a previous blog, she was using a knife or scissors to open a box and she cut her hand.
With all of the extra sensory stuff that you don’t use or you don’t want to just sit around, you could make little grab bags for other toddlers in your community too! You could include instructions because everything you come up with is so creative and it could help so many kids and it gives you some busy work, haha!
My twins were measuring big my entire pregnancy but when I gave birth to them my son was 4 lb 8 ounces and my daughter was 4 pounds 3 oz so get preemie clothes and preemie diapers just in case cuz even with measuring big they still could come out tiny... I made the mistake of not getting any preemie clothing or diapers and my family had to rush out to Target to get diapers and clothes
My twins measured right on and were 7#15oz and 6#8oz at birth (37+6 weeks) and my littler guy still needed preemie diapers and clothes for the first few weeks. He’d leak right out of newborn diapers.
I work as a nurse in the NICU and she will be fine not buying Preemi unless she has them like now. Preemie clothes are for under 6 pounds. Her little newborn stuff will work and she can just roll the sleeves up if she needs to. It will be okay if their clothes are a little big. And the hospital will put them in preemie diapers if they need them and then they can order some while they are in the hospital if they need those for home. I just don’t think she needs to spend money on preemie stuff unless she needs it and she will be able to order while in the hospital if she needs
My twins were supposed to be 6.5lbs each and we’re a whole pound under their estimated weight. ❤️ we needed preemie because they were so little! I was so sure we wouldn’t need it and we definitely did :) good luck! Twins are such a blessing and we love it!
I think what I love most about this channel is how real u guys are! No sugar coating, nothing is fake or staged, it’s just your life as normal and I think that’s kinda hard to find these days. Also this pregnancy has flown by!!! I cannot wait for these babies to arrive!!!
When I was pregnant with my twins what would keep my up at night was thinking about cleaning the walls 😹. Why I was so obsessed with cleaning the walls I don’t know.
Emma is so cute. Her kissing the camera was great. My youngest daughter is a Waldorf kindergarten teacher. She does a seasonal sensory table. She also got wooden peg people for her students. So exciting, can’t wait for the babies to make their debut ! !

Awwwe 😭 this pulled my heart strings. My momma had a double mastectomy almost 3 years ago now. I had no idea she even had cancer and she only told her sister until she had the surgery and couldnt hide any longer. I'm happy you're still here!!! My momma was blessed to not have it in her lymph nodes or anywhere else, I'm praying for you!
My mother rearranged her entire bedroom, by herself, the night before my older sister was born and she was born three weeks early. She did some form of extreme nesting before each of us. There are four. Hers was also completely random and unnecessary. I love to hear her telling stories about it. I laugh so hard. But nesting is very real and from what I’ve heard pretty much impossible to stop yourself from doing. No matter how random it may seem. But I just think it’s natural. My daughter was born at 41+1 7lb 9oz and 19 1/4 and fit in preemie clothes and she was estimated to be 9lbs. So I would get a few preemie outfits regardless of what they're measuring especially with being twins they're more likely to be smaller. Sending Love💓
You could make a board or blanket with the zips on and put buckles, Velcro, hooks, buttons and laces on to help her with fine motor skills and practical dressing bits.

I remember with my youngest son (11 years ago now), I nested in some really weird ways too. I washed the walls and cleaned grout. Stuff that made no difference to mine or the baby's life. The day after he was born I looked down at him and thought of my nearly 2-year-old at home and my first thought was 'How am I going to keep you safe from your brother?' I hadn't thought at all on where I was going to put the baby so he'd be safe from his overzealous big brother. But they both survived. There were moments for sure of jealousy and growing pains trying to figure out how to mesh this new baby into our lives and routine, but it worked out. I cant wait to see Emma with the babies. I am so excited for you and Justin to meet these babies.
LOVE Emma, she's such a little ham ❤ Great haul, I love all of it, especially the SwaddleMe swaddles and the NUK First Essentials bottles. I used both products when my son was a baby. Best bottle we tried because it was perfect for our son 😀 We also used the SwaddleMe swaddles and the graduated to Halo Sleepsack and used those until about 2.5 years old (he was in the early walker ones by then). My son is 3.5 now and I want another baby but the pandemic has shelved this dream for now. I can't wait for your twins!!!
Idk why but i have a feeling they will be here by next weekend.. not this weekend but next weekend. Just with you nesting, and Emma giving you all kinds of love and absorbing as much attention as she can from her mommy 💕 so cute. With that, i really think you should still order premie diapers and clothes! Even if they're measuring big, you're still tiny and there's two in there! Lol. Her doctors said she was measuring 10 weeks ahead when she was 31 weeks. And you really think she is tiny?? That belly is hugeee they are gonna be bery big. Emma was big too. The parents are tall too. No way they are coming measuring small or anything for that matter
How are you going to do it with the family (mostly your parents) meeting the babies? Will you allow them in your house for that? I'll be having my baby in September but hopefully everything will be back to normal by then..

I had my twin boys at exactly 36 weeks and got a lot of preemie clothes i washed them before they were born but ended up not fitting them because one weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces. And measured 20 inches long and the other one 7 pounds 5.8 ounces 20 and a half inches long, so i guess get just a couple just in case 🤷 good luck on your delivery! 💞
I know the nesting feeling is strong but remember to take care of yourself Rachelle. Rest as much as you can now cause in a couple weeks you will have your hands full!! I hope you can have a lot of help with this virus going around. Praying for your family!!
I’ve had steroid shots with both my pregnancies because I’ve had preeclampsia both times and delivered early, they are really not that bad. I worked myself up about them. They burn going in and then I had hot flashes for a couple of days after getting them but neither of my boys needed any respiratory help. Even my 34 weeker!
Are your twins coming in the next week. Here in Australia if you have a steroid shot its to develop the babies lungs before 37 weeks. Which normally means you are showing early signs of labour. Ekk excited. Can't wait.

My twins were born on their scheduled csection date (37 weeks 3 days) and they still needed 2 weeks in the NICU. One of them would never take any nipple besides the enfamil ready to feed nipples they used in the NICU. So you never know what they’ll take to. Also they measured large the whole pregnancy. We’re around 6 and 6.5 at birth and definitely needed preemie clothes for almost a month.
I would pick up one preemie outfit each also. My daughter weighed 7lbs 2oz was 5 weeks early they said she would have been a 10lb baby if I would have went to term. She lost down to 5lbs 2oz in the NICU and wore preemie clothes.
Twin mama tip....we brought the stroller to the hospital and just pushed my twins out in the stroller instead of carrying two car seats. In fact, I almost never carried two infant seats....I used my stroller CONSTANTLY! 🙂👶👶

Have premie clothes changed a lot over the last 17yrs? My son was 8 lb 1 oz and I had a premie going home outfit for him that was still big on him.

My one little baby was 9 days overdue and only weighed 6 pounds, he didnt fit newborn clothes till 4ish weeks, we had to get so many preemie outfits

The day after he was born I looked down at him and thought of my nearly 2-year-old at home and my first thought was 'How am I going to keep you safe from your brother?'
I hadn't thought at all on where I was going to put the baby so he'd be safe from his overzealous big brother. But they both survived. There were moments for sure of jealousy and growing pains trying to figure out how to mesh this new baby into our lives and routine, but it worked out. I cant wait to see Emma with the babies. I am so excited for you and Justin to meet these babies.

LOVE Emma, she's such a little ham ❤ Great haul, I love all of it, especially the SwaddleMe swaddles and the NUK First Essentials bottles. I used both products when my son was a baby. Best bottle we tried because it was perfect for our son 😀 We also used the SwaddleMe swaddles and the graduated to Halo Sleepsack and used those until about 2.5 years old (he was in the early walker ones by then). My son is 3.5 now and I want another baby but the pandemic has shelved this dream for now. I can't wait for your twins!!!
Idk why but i have a feeling they will be here by next weekend.. not this weekend but next weekend. Just with you nesting, and Emma giving you all kinds of love and absorbing as much attention as she can from her mommy 💕 so cute. With that, i really think you should still order premie diapers and clothes! Even if they're measuring big, you're still tiny and there's two in there! Lol. Plus they aren't always that accurate with measuring. Anyway, y'all are so precious and such a sweet family 😊 I'm genuinely excited. Emma will be a great big sister! And she's turning into such a little person lately 💜
Her doctors said she was measuring 10 weeks ahead when she was 31 weeks. And you really think she is tiny?? That belly is hugeee they are gonna be bery big. Emma was big too. The parents are tall too. No way they are coming measuring small or anything for that matter

How are you going to do it with the family (mostly your parents) meeting the babies? Will you allow them in your house for that? I'll be having my baby in September but hopefully everything will be back to normal by then..

My son was born at 37wks and only wore preemie onesies for about a week and a half! He weighed 6 pounds 3 oz :)

I had my twin boys at exactly 36 weeks and got a lot of preemie clothes i washed them before they were born but ended up not fitting them because one weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces. And measured 20 inches long and the other one 7 pounds 5.8 ounces 20 and a half inches long, so i guess get just a couple just in case 🤷 good luck on your delivery! 💞

I’ve had steroid shots with both my pregnancies because I’ve had preeclampsia both times and delivered early, they are really not that bad. I worked myself up about them. They burn going in and then I had hot flashes for a couple of days after getting them but neither of my boys needed any respiratory help. Even my 34 weeker!

Are your twins coming in the next week. Here in Australia if you have a steroid shot its to develop the babies lungs before 37 weeks. Which normally means you are showing early signs of labour. Ekk excited. Can't wait.

I know you loved the owlet foot sock when Emma was a newborn. Did you guys get another one so you have 2 for the twins?
My twins were born on their scheduled csection date (37 weeks 3 days) and they still needed 2 weeks in the NICU. One of them would never take any nipple besides the enfamil ready to feed nipples they used in the NICU. So you never know what they’ll take to. Also they measured large the whole pregnancy. We’re around 6 and 6.5 at birth and definitely needed preemie clothes for almost a month.
I would pick up one preemie outfit each also. My daughter weighed 7lbs 2oz was 5 weeks early they said she would have been a 10lb baby if I would have went to term. She lost down to 5lbs 2oz in the NICU and wore preemie clothes.

Twin mama tip....we brought the stroller to the hospital and just pushed my twins out in the stroller instead of carrying two car seats. In fact, I almost never carried two infant seats....I used my stroller CONSTANTLY! 🙂👶👶
