  • My message to Mothers staying at home is, it’s okay to just be a mother, you don’t have to fill your plate with more, being a mom is enough! This job is full time all the time, and to those wanting to do more that is great too! This is just my own experience in my journey.

I have had many cakes that looked less than perfect; but tasted delicious. You will never do anything more important than being a stay at home Mom, and homemaker. Our children are babies and young for such a short time; goes by in a blink. I don't regret one minute that I stayed home with my children; even though it could be rough at times with one income from my hard working husband. I really enjoyed your thoughts on this subject.

Yes. So true. In fact I’ve saved more money not trying to make money! Because I am focused on making our food and planning our meals! Goodness! It’s a blessing for sure being home!

I love this so much! I feel like a broken record, but thanks for being real and sharing real life, even in the moments when it doesn't feel like all hearts and rainbows. Your kids are so lucky to have a mother who truly cares. I wish all the children in the world could have such a loving home ❤.

Omg, thank you for being honest and talking about this. About 3 months before our first child was born, I made the transition to work from home and planned to go back part time only after maternity leave, for as long as it made sense until it was time to homeschool. It worked for a while while my son was really young and took lots of naps, but any time he was awake it obviously made sense for my full attention to be on him and my home. My work kept demanding more hours of me, and I even mentioned to my boss in my review that it was hard for me to get hours in as my son got older. She basically said I could put him in the pack and play while I did stuff. Nope, not gonna happen. Working from home while trying to be a present mother really isn’t possible. I also had very little free time and felt like it was hard to keep up on cooking and cleaning. My husband is so much happier when I am less stressed and not working. That alone is worth it to me

    • @daphblue
      @daphblue 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

I was constantly having to reply to emails in my off hours while my son and I were supposed to be playing, and developing his speech. I hated having to put my son in his crib for a few minutes so I could send out a document. The guilt isn’t worth it.

Oh my gosh. Yes. You don’t get that time back! I know we can always find a better solution. We sacrificed for years for me to stay home, and I know that’s not easy and some moms have to work. I am so glad you listen to your intuition! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Sarah, I enjoyed your video the other day. I gave a thumbs up and commented, but my phone must have played up again and the comment failed...so here goes 2nd attempt lol. I think one of the greatest gifts a mother can give her child is time and you do that so well. No job is more important, full on, and draining as being a mum. Your children are blessed that you are so patient with them.
I loved being with my children but did go to work part-time once they were old enough to attend school. I always tried to be there for them as it was what I wanted to do.
We went without many times but I felt I had the most important job ever. No pay, but lots of rewards.
Luckily my husband worked full time and my paid job, I did later on, was for extras or to help pay bills that were unexpected.
We never bought an expensive home as we wanted to meet the payments comfortably as interest rates went up.
I still love our first small fibro home that was filled with love and memories.

HAPPY Tuesday in January Sarah, family, and fur baby sweetheart. I probably told you I am the youngest of 10, 5 boys, 5 girls. I am 63 years young. Our mother was a stay at home mom, and I so remember that even to this day. I remember when I was very young our mom took a job and she quit because she said my baby acts like she does not know me and it is not worth it. Of course our Dad was the bread winner he was a coal miner. His retirement bought his children many benefits from that job. NOTHING better than sacrificing and being home with the babies. I was able to stay home 5 years with our eldest son, I was able to just work weekends with our youngest son, then I had to go back full time. However, he was in a home daycare where the mom had one child a daughter and our son and her were the same age. She took great care of him, we were blessed to have found her, even though it was expensive and our eldest was in a private school. You just sacrifice for your babies. Our mom always said just because you birth a child does not make you a mother and just because you become a dad does not make you a father, I know you know what that means. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SARAH. STTB💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

I love your channel and rewatch your videos all the time. Oh my goodness, I love love your beautiful home!!! I have a sofa a lot like the one in front of your bay windows and I’m wanting to recover mine. It was originally my husband’s great grandmothers🩷. Did you recover yours, and is the fabric on the back section (above the cushions) painted? Referring to the blue strips and the lettering that looks to be in black? If you purchased the fabric printed like that can you direct me where to look for it. Thank you SO very much! ~Tammy

It’s such a treasured unique piece 🥰❤️

To each their own… most people don’t have 8 children as well. Not knocking you but that is an extreme amount to be able to work and take care of . I have 4 and they are ages 21 24 16 12 so they are old enough that I was able to return to work. I know work from home in the corporate world. The best of both worlds. I’m sure if I had more children then that wouldn’t be possible.

Your kids seem very well behaved, but I’m super curious if you have had discipline issues with any of the older kids ever. I’m asking because my youngest brother is 15, and my parents struggle with him on the daily, even though he is also a sweet kid half the time. Ugh teenagers lol

Oh my gosh yes lol. I have a 15 yr old and he is my hardest. However, I have found that he knows how to trigger me and that’s on me… I needed to learn to not be triggered by him. I then found the #1 thing that has balanced him is more love and connection. I will legit chase him and tickle him and it’s like he melts into his young boy sweet self… I’ve just had to learn his love language 🙏🏻❤️
