    When you wrap meat in foil the meat is being cooked by steam so it won't brown. If you want it to brown I suggest just putting it on the pan and about half way through (after it has browned) cover it with foil or the other way around. Cover it with foil (steam cook it) and half way through uncover it for browning. Also the way I found that helps the most with keeping the meat from drying is to cover it with foil after baking it to "rest"/cool.

    I just found your channel last night and I love it! I'm also a working mom of two little girls - so this is really relatable to me. Thanks for all the routine/prep videos to make my crazy life run a bit smoother.

    I despise touching raw chicken as well😩I use tongs all day everyday for that too. Also I love that you season BOTH SIDES of your meat Lawd watching people put a speck of seasoning on just one side makes me sad 😒

    Your videos are really helpful. I don't have any debt thank goodness, but I need to start saving again. I was pretty good at until recently and now I feel so bad about myself and ashamed cause I fell off big time. Thank you for taking the time to help people. I'm going to take your advice and make this year a great one! :)

    That was great! Brown the chicken a couple of minutes with olive oil on the stove top before wrapping in foil. Its a win/win with color and moisture.

    I believe when baking chicken in parchment paper it allows the meat to brown up a little bit. But I agree I don't really like the chicken with it not browning up a little.

    I love meal prep videos. I'm like you I have to have something green with my meal😜. I was going to purchase those glass containers from Costco. I'm trying to get rid if all my plastic containers. It seems like when you heat your food up in those plastic containers the food taste different, but maybe that's just me. TFS

    I don't like when chicken Jay looks like that either. I always pan sear first for a few minutes and then bake. I always brine also in brown sugar and salt to make them tender.

    • @MarriageMotherhood
      @MarriageMotherhood  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats a great idea. If I wasn't kind of rushing then I would have pan seared first too. Brown sugar brine sounds DELISH! Thanks for watching!

    If your making sweet potatoes wouldn't that cover your carbs? If you decide to add rice later this week wouldn't that double up your carbs and counter your low carb plan?

    This looked simple and delicious. Personally, I would hold off on the garlic as garlic does not play nice in my belly. I love meal prep recipes like this that have minimal prep and cleanup. How did you like it?

    I like to use them rubber gloves from Costco. Because, Ick, I hate touching raw chicken too.

  • @sydsmylove

    Whole chickens are the worst! Can't stand touching and cleaning those! Disposable gloves are my best friend for those days.

    I have a question for you. This has nothing to do with meal prep. We need new pillows for our bed,where in the budget should I place it?Should I take the money from the household money or create a sinking fund for it?

    I hate touching and cooking meat! I only cook it because of my husband and kids and have to force myself to eat it so it doesn't go to waste. I would almost never eat meat if it was up to me
