    Nice review Shane. I have the fish finder at the same place and ran the cables under the seat. Reverse the seat secure latches so they're easier to clip together, you'll have more room.

    That boat is beautiful, and love the big water pdl. I have my 2022 Hoodoo impulse 120, I citrus orange. Fin drive, and run my J2 Bixpy, on the Vibe Gravity blade rudder, to fit my kayak, and cables, with the motor. Plenty of storage, stable. I love the ocean, but I'm a large mouth bass angler. But if you're in the ocean, even off shore on freshwater. Please spend the $19.99 on a bildge pump. I do have a real kayak sponge, in my emergency on the water dry bag kayak kit. But you'll be using that sponge forever, in an emergency. The difference between to he two is insane, after the test I did. 😎 🎣 🌊

    Have the exact same kayak. Love it. Although I am having the same issue you had with the drive not locking securely enough to stop it from swaying.

      Did you tighten the nut like I explained in the video? Give it a shot and let me know. It doesn’t have to be super tight

    You can buy stock aluminum t track online...cheap...cut to l length...cut ends at 45 degrees , round the corners with a file , drill two holes and mount over top of the existing slot tracks for a nice full length raised track....

    The plates up front are a very overlooked, but huge benefit on the BW compared to the Topwater 120.

    Brother, your tattoo is a reason why I subscribed.
    Nick at Navarre Kayak Fishing covers these yaks fairly well. He shows how to fix the PDL if it breaks. Obviously if it's still under warranty, send it to O.T..
    I like how you covered the BigWater from bow to stern. How do you like that Ram mount for your fishfinder? I was thinking about a Scotty mount, but now I'm not sure.
    Yak safe and tight lines!

    Hey brother like your videos. I’ve got a couple questions for you. I just ordered the 132. What keel guard to you put on there and why cut it the way you did? Do you have a video of how you built that roller cart you have your yak sitting on? Thank again.

    • @YakLocal
      @YakLocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used a sheet of kydex. Reason for that shape is so at the bend it’s easier to handle and doesn’t get all wrinkled. Also no video on the cart I just went off a bunch on TH-cam and just spaced the pvc 8” from center

    These PDL pedal drives work a lot better and smoother if you "glass" them. As in glassing a rifle. It's easy to do and makes a world of difference.

    • @YakLocal

      Have you done it ? I’m curious to know more

    • @Mars-77
      @Mars-77 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YakLocal yes, cover the base with a thin layer of grease, sand/ruff up the inside of the kayak. Apply about a 1/4" of Bondo around the entire opening, and press and lock the drive. Let it set up an hour or so, and then release it and trim/sand any excess.

    Hello great video. I’m new to fishing and wanted to ask what you recommend I really like the old town sportsman’s pdl 120 and now I seen yours is super nice. Do you knows what’s the difference between the two? I want to learn how to fish the ocean harbors and jetty.

    • @YakLocal
      @YakLocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your going to fish Ocean, harbors and jetty’s than definitely the Bigwater 132. Cuts through swell and waves great and is much faster than 120

  • @OCOutdoorsman

    I like what you did with the front keel guard! Where'd you get the kydex and how did you shape it to fit your keel?

    • @YakLocal
      @YakLocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I ordered the kydex on eBay it was like 3 sheets. Also I just drew the shape with pencil then cut it out and heat molded it to keel. It was actually really simple. The kydex is easy to work with once warmed up

    • @OCOutdoorsman
      @OCOutdoorsman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YakLocal Great idea! What did you use to mold the kydex to the keel?

    • @YakLocal
      @YakLocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@OCOutdoorsman best way is to cut the kydex to shape then warm it all up with heat gun. Get it a little soft. Then put on keel. Use painters tape at tip and slowly heat it all the smooth out waves and it will harden perfect 👍🏻you can also reheat if needed
