Hi! Just some random youtube advice! I have this machine and love it dearly, I recommend greatly to froth your own milk using a milk frother or even just using a microwave and small little milk frother from ikea or aerolatte. The using of your own milk makes it taste amazing and you get to save money. Also, you are allowed to double shot an espresso and still yield great results but with stronger flavor. Two good shots topped by your own fresh frothed milk makes a fantastic latte.
My Verismo 580 has been stored for 5+ years because Starbucks discontinued the pods. Now espresso pods are finally available that have the same great flavor. I’ve never used milk pods because customers were complaining about the residual milk turning sour inside the machine. They were unable to get rid of the sour taste.

I have got one of this. Love it. the tray fills up with liquid from the pods when they are discarded as they will contain water. All in all it is an amazing machine easy as 1 2 3.

Tried the verismo at a local store and I have the CBTL. Gotta say I like my CBTL better. Even though I can't make froth milk from my CBTL, I prefer to froth fresh milk for my lattes :)

We have something similar in Australia called the Expressi, it's marketed by ALDI, the machines are almost identical but at half the price as the Starbucks unit. There are about 12 different styles of pod available here, this includes chocolate and chai latte, they sell for about $6 for 16, however there is no milk pod available. Everyone seems to use an aldi milk frother so I suspect the milk pods may not make it here. These are K-FEE machines :)

Keurig has empty k-cups with which you can fill your own ground coffee. Does this machine have similar empty pods, or must you purchase the pre-filled pods in order to use this machine?

I am currently using the keurig platinum to create a shot of coffee then using an aerolatte to foam my milk to create a latte (I am very dedicated to having a good cup of coffee!!!). I've noticed my latte is a bit watery. Do you think I will have a better latte if I buy the verismo? Or will I not notice a huge difference in the quality of the coffee.

Build quality felt cheap and the powdered milk was tasted barfy. I thought the whole idea of Starbucks is for someone else to make my coffee for me? I don't find their coffee good enough to drink at home anyway.

my verismo fills my cup and then some, which really bugs me because I end up wasting some of the coffee, and the pods, as you say, are quite expensive. I've used the biggest cup size that will fit, but it just keeps pouring. Is there a reason and solution for this?

Have tried both. .... the CBTL Americano seems to be a solidly built machine. It also looks cool. The CBTL Espresso and Coffee capsules are awesome.

No it does not. You have to buy the starbucks pods or Cbtl pods

What size coffee cups are the ones that you used in the video?
Compare the Verismo with CBTL machine. I heard that Verismo capsules don't taste as good as CBTL or Caffitaly coffees. Also you make teas with CBTL.
What are the issues you think it needs worked out? The drip tray that fills fast?
