Great review, my wife has a street twin gold line and she loves it. Hands down comparison the trident will smoke a street twin even though it has higher cc's. Different riding style of bikes.
Nice job on the review. I currently have a Trident 660 and am thinking about the Street Twin. I test rode one, and I actually like my Trident better. Like you said, it's lighter and very easy to handle. Especially at low speeds or moving it in and out of the garage. Plus the Trident just feels quicker. The Street Twin is still a very nice bike, but I wouldnt give up my Trident for it. I'm starting to look at the Speed Twins now
Speed Twin 900 Review I just got a Speed Twin 900 as my 1st motorcycles 🏍️. It is absolutely awesome. This motorcycle has Great 👍🏽 Ergonomics to sit and drive High Torque which makes it FUN to drive Easy to handle Superb Sound better than the 1200 Best Looking I am 45 years old, 5ft 8inches.

Great job! You earned another subscriber. I was unclear on what you meant by the Street Twin smoking the Trident on the highway though. Does the Twin actually have more passing power at highway speeds, or is it just more comfortable to ride long, straight line distances? Thank you!
You mentioned the heat off the engine of the twin. Not an issue on the triple? I had to sell my Tiger 800 because it was baking my legs even though it was liquid cooled! Great video.
Well that hasn't helped. I was trying to decide between them and now I'm just as undecided as I was before. Should I buy one of each? Will my wife notice?
I have a Speed Twin 900 and considering the Trident 660. One is twin and the other is triple so you get the best of both. Twin is retro and old style Triple is modern and contemporary Speed Twin 900 just is very good

Thanks for the upload. Question- was the Honda rc51 sold in the Philippines and if so do you know what one in good condition would cost on the used bike market?

The street twin's ecu is restricted because the power is too close to triumph's 1200 cc bikes like the speed twin and scrambler. It is tuned not to rev out
Nope, not on mine, but it might be different for different markets. I live in Sweden. But it seems that they have the A9790095 as official Tank Pad for Trident, if you search. But I thought the one in your video looked nicer :-)
@@juanicofernandez I used to have a Trident and sold it because I didn't like the high handlebar. I would buy a Street Twin if it was 420 lbs like the Trident. Street Twin is 476 lbs and too heavy!
There is a huge difference in weight between this too. I tried them both and the speed twin is a forever bike , the trident looks more like a fast toy. Not to mention that in the speed twin the seat for the passanger is much more comfortable in long rides. I heard they are throwing offers for the trident now as the new riders are going for the 400 lines.
Sir can I asked for your advice? I owned a Yamaha xsr 155 and I'm planning to upgrade for a big big. My top choice is Trident 660, Ask ko lng if best choice sya and If I'm not gonna be overwhelmed by the power of trident 660?
for that price you almost get a CB650 din. or an XSR700. but at the end of the day it all really depends on the look. Power wise, the trident is also a good beginner big bike
You don't even know the bikes you are reviewing, the 900 Street Twin has 65 horse power and the Trident 660 has 80 horse power. that is why the Trident triple is faster feeling, because it is faster.
the trident is the only somewhat decently priced, although still quite a bit overpriced compared to the SRP's of other bikes. most euro and american bikes are all overpriced by a lot. just look at the prices of triumph's other offerings. it's all insanely overpriced. yes most big bikes are overpriced in the country but also, japanese and indian bikes aren't quite as insanely overpriced as compared to the american and euro bikes. i mean, the pan america from harley is almost 100% marked up from the SRP. who would in their right mind buy one at that price? triumph's scrambler is also pretty crazily priced. presyong ayaw pabenta. i'd rather get a japanese bike. and triumph being well known for not quite as reliable a bike compared to a japanese bike + the overprice? that's just not even thinking right. kahit nagtatae ka ng pera hindi ka bibili sa presyo ng mga euro and american bikes. then add onto the used market being absolutely deluded. ayaw pabenta prices. the 2nd hand market is also just as deluded.
But triumph and all the other bikes you mentioned are doing well here in the Philippines? Not everyone wants a Japanese bike that almost everyone has. I sold my japanese bike for european bike.
@@juanicofernandez european owned indian made philippine assembled bike you mean. not totally european, just like every other bike out there. which makes the price to be lower. which also doesn't excuse triumph to be fucking people over and selling them at such exhorbitant prices locally. if ktm can lower their prices to near their actual srp in every other country in the world, then everyone else can do the same. sounds a lot like someone got paid or told not to bash euro bikes so you get to have access to their bikes for reviews. just like every other bike reviewer out there. such a sad state of reviewers these days. can't even say a negative thing about their bikes. for such a new channel, your bias is showing so early already. =p

@@juanicofernandez as for the price for the street twin and trident, the overprice for those isn't so bad. but compared to the features of a japanese bike with the same price, you can get an xsr900 for the price of a street twin, a premium helmet, a premium jacket and pants and motorcycle riding boots and a lot of gas money left over to spare. for a trident, you can get an xsr700 and get a much better bike in terms of reliability and parts availability. not to mention more horsepower, although not good as an entry level bike since that fucking thing is a wheelie monster. i mean, even a cbr650r is a better value for the price vs. a trident. and the cbr650r is a better value and an easier bike to to ride vs. the xsr700 with similar features with the trident plus the well known honda reliability. even brits say triumphs are just selling bikes with nostalgia and not much else. if value is importance to a buyer, they themselves would rather buy a japanese bike instead.

St.Twin for me
I dont think the twin can smoke the trident. While the extra cc might look good on paper, the trident has a huge advantage on horsepower.
and it's also lighter, better power-to-weight ratio.
I have a Street Triple 675… older and not much bigger than the Trident. And I promise I would smoke a Street/Speed Twin.
What would you recommend for a newbie? Leaning towards street twin due to low seat height.
Well that hasn't helped. I was trying to decide between them and now I'm just as undecided as I was before. Should I buy one of each? Will my wife notice?
She probably won’t 🤭
This bike review is lovely. Looks and sounds so beautiful. An informative work of art.

A couple of key points you missed, the Street Twin is more comfortable for pillion passengers and you can easily add luggage.
