    Finally, another video! I've been worried about you and the new Massey Ferguson. Glad to see everything is going OK. Every time I use my 4710 I like it even more.

    I bought an aerator from that same place. Great guys to work with. Shame we have to go all the way to Oklahoma to get decent prices on hey equipment!

      Yes they are. It’s a shame how much equipment prices have skyrocketed

    Sure do like that Massey and the double stack trailer. I have a 32' single, manual dump, but I don't have a need for one that big, I only do hay for my farm and a little custom for a neighbor. Looks like your New Holland baler is doing a great job at baling, nice and even and tight. Thanks

    Hey Chris good to see you. Congratulations on picking up more land. Having irrigation should help increase yield. Being from Central Texas myself I know how dry it can be some years. Glad the Massy is working out for you. Man that bale trailer is awesome. I've never seen one like that before.

    You should love that 4710Dyna 2 . I bought one last year and bought a 5711Dyna 4 this year. My 4710 does the same knocking noise at pto start but quits after a few seconds, the 5711 doesn't do it . The dealer in Lufkin stated what it was and it is normal but can't remember the reason. I started cutting and baling in 540E this year and its been working fantastic, cuts fuel usage per hour in half.

      That’s great info about the pto knock. I thought it was coming from the draw bar but after realizing the weight of the baler taking the play out of it, there was still a knock. I bet that 5711 is a nice one! Hopefully I’ll out grow this 4710 in a few years and bump up. But I love it so far. Thanks for the info!!!

    That 5 bales/acre last year will spoil a man! Just finished our first cutting aswell. Got the workmaster's planetary hub patched together with some redneck enginuity and a prayer. Can't get the hub and guts in stock, only bearings available. We got the same baler based on your review...plus it was the cheapest on the lot! It rolls baleage just fine so far! Tough for how light it is.
    I think people are in for a shock at hay price this year, we have twice the expense as last year and half the yield because it's been a dry spring. We won't be able to sell any, will need every roll ourselves. Keep us updated bud!

      You aren’t lying about being spoiled. Good to hear you have the Workmaster going. Farmers just make it work no matter the situation. It’s a crazy world right now trying to find parts, supplies and now having to raise my hay prices so high. That’s good to know this baler can handle baleage, it just give me that much more confidence in it knowing that. Hang in the buddy and keep praying for rain!!

    That trailer is sweet, I've never seen one like that. That tranny is very nice I've had a chance now to operate one and it's really nice. I also jumped on a 75 like your old one and I'd agree it's a world of difference. Honestly the 75 was different than my 120 also. I'd love to have the tyranny but the 120 does have 2 auto switches that's really nice to preset idle speed I've used it a lot. Happy baling!

    Great Video... Where did you purchase the net wrap? and what do you think of it?

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got it from a guy out of Comanche Tx. It’s Bale Tuff brand. It is a tuff durable net wrap but the new Holland baler has a hard time cutting the wrap, then it starts bunching up on the rollers after about 50 to 75 bales. I prefer the JD brand net wrap better because I never have problems with it. I believe bale tuff is similar to Vermeer net wrap

      @@CenTexAg Yeah I have the same baler and I run the New Holland 48" wrap (no problems). I really liked the Vermeer.... but it was having a hard time cutting it. Thanks for the info

      The Massey could have a better a/c but it doesn’t bother me to much. I’m still glad I made the purchase. Nothing wrong with new holland I just wanted the dyna 2 trans

    So now that you got a full year, do you like the 4710? Thinking about trading my Powerstar 75 for one

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes love the 4710. Only issue is the def quality code so I’ve had to drain the tank and refil with fresh def quite a few times. But it hasn’t let me down.
