@@alperenpltinum They've started their own news podcast called Morning Brew Daily which I listen to everyday (in the evening, since I'm in Asia). Judging from the people running the podcast... I'd say that Morning Brew is quite a consumer-friendly company. They don't ask for money, only for you to share the newsletter and TH-cam channel in exchange for some cool gifts like mugs, stickers, etc.

Wow. I was skeptical but this unusually long chain of strangers being interested in Hecktor S. if there's anything important that I learn from my Corporate Law class:
1. As a founder you need to classify your class of shares and define the kinds of rights granted for holding specific class of share (e.g., Class A/B/C stock)
2. Preventing hostile acquisition by having poison pill provision on the company's Bylaws
3. Careful negotiation when negotiating with VC/PE/Angel Investor on the investment terms & conditions
None of that is really relevant here, right?

The entire company is designed from the start against exactly that
The company started as a non-profit. It created a capped-profit subsidiary to take on outside investment (because training big AI is hella expensive) with the nonprofit still having full control.
Sam does not own any shares (of the profit arm) and neither does the board.
the entire point openai was created was so that it wouldn't just be your typical profit-seeking, founder-CEO-dictator controlled corporation (explicitly, not Google)

I think he was using the word Tribe in its Agile terminology meaning: Tribe usually means a set of squads. Squads are smaller teams of devs, designers, testers working on various projects.
