- Mario Party Superstars was officially announced, featuring 100 minigames from across the entire series! We took a look through everything to find over half of them! In this video, we break down every minigame confirmed so far, including which game they originated from!

And/or the vehicle side game from Mario Party 5. I'm guessing we won't get either but I would kill to get those.
Also I love 1-3 as those are what I grew up on (literally my first memory is from me playing Mario Party 1 and landing on a Bowser space lol)
Also to Julian87, I'd recommend playing Mario Party 1-5 maybe after this game releases so you can experience the new, pretty game first and then go back to how they used to be played. 6 is where I felt a small drop off in terms of quality but Mario Party 1-7 (or maybe 8) are worth playing
@@charlesw7397 My Mario Party 1 memory is that i borrowed the game from a friend. For the looks of it, it seemed that he barely played it. And then i %100 it to even change the tittle screen, and after i gave it back to my friend, he was so pissed at me because i %100 it, LOL.

I'm assuming whatever games they add from 8 would either have to be redesigned to used buttons and a control stick or one of the few games that already used the wii remotes d-pad

I’ve literally pulled out my GameCube to play the old Mario Party games instead of Super Mario Party because there’s just something missing. Seeing that Nintendo realized that we loved the old Mario Party games and just essentially remastered them and gave them a much-deserved touch up makes me so happy.
@@dynamicide One of the main issues with SMP was lack of replayability, something which will probably be the issue this time around as well.
Mario Party needs more maps, and include some big maps where you wont cross the map several times per game.
In addition, it is in dire need of the ability to customize your game rules.

This was definitely one of the highlights of E3 for me too. I loved Mario Party 1-5 so much growing up and playing them just brings me back to my childhood. My girlfriend had never played a Mario Party before Super Mario Party on the Switch (which she absolutely loved) and really doesn't like GameCube or N64 graphics (she says she can't get into the game with graphics like that lol) so I'm super hyped to be able to play what I consider the peak of Mario Party with her!

Maybe im being naive to want some love from Mario Party DS but I hope there some minigames from there like Camera Shy and Soaf Surfers and other great minigames from that amazing game. Wouldnt mind a future update with some board/s too like the Donkey Kong Jungle board or the Pirahna Plant Garden board.
I also would like to but MPDS had that whole gimmick of being tiny in the mini games and also I don’t think they take handheld titles in consideration too since the top 100 didn’t have any mini games from handheld Mario party’s

mpds is probably (one of) the best mario party game thus far and the minigames are just SO good. would love to see toadettes music room back

I need Pauline to be playable, just like the Rosalina treatment.
Considering she's been getting a lot of love in the spin off games ever since Mario Odyssey came out, I'd say there's a good chance. It would be great to have her as a character finally!

I hope so too, but i honestly doubt it. I think they're gonna do the same as in Top 100, adding the 7 "Main" Characters + Rosalina, and then Birdo and Donkey Kong are the only additions to that. Which is sad, especially since that means Toad, Toadette and the baddies like Koopa Troopa, Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Jr (my second favorite after Daisy ;-;) aren't playable. At least that's what i'm assuming since we've only seen 9 out of the 10 characters mentioned (Everyone but Daisy) so far, i doubt that they wouldn't show off at least one "special" character like Dry Bones or Pauline if they were playable.
Still, i really hope that this game gets a roster like Super Mario Party for example. Would be pretty cool to see every character in Mario Party ever playable (except for Koopa Kid, he's fuckin' dead), i'd love that!

Well, the whole concept of this game was also next to impossible, but it happened. NDCube aren't just cashing in Nostalgia, they know this is what we want, and they're listeing. Hopefully, they know people want DLCs and they're working on ghat.
Won't happen. They will keep releasing 3-4 mario party with recycled assets for 60$. No reason to stop this since it's much more profitable than dlc and people will keep buying them.

Does that sound as bad as generic sport based games series? Yes.
Is it the same, then? Of course it's not.
Every Mario Party has different boards, different minigames, different items, different character roster, different soundtrack, different gimmicks. The only game that actually straight-up reused core gameplay elements was Mario Party 2, and even then it was totally different from 1.
But continuing this would just make me look like I'm avoiding the point. This isn't any Mario Party game, this is a collection that's trying to cash in nostalgia and appeal to fans who complain about the previous games. So, if anything, this the only MP that has a big chance of getting DLC, just to appeal to old fans.

My favorite minigame as a kid was always Camera Shy, so I'd love to see that one recreated.
SAME camera shy, dust buddies, and cyber scamper were one of my favorites
Someone should make a petition to add a a few minigames from that to this. It had some great ones that didn't rely on the touch screen like Camera Shy, Dust Buddies, Cyber Scamper, and that one I forgot that name of where your trying not to get caught by the other players.

It _would_ make sense if it were Treacherous Tightrope, as the 1-vs-3 minigame Tightrope Treachery from Mario Party 1 could be included and necessitate that the Mario Party 8 minigame gets a new name to avoid confusion.

I hope to see more boards and mini games from the GameCube games because from what they showed, the majority of this game seems to be be from the first 3 Mario Party games.

If you guys would listen only once, when they announce something, they already mentioned only N64 boards were chosen.
I hope they don’t stop with just 5 boards, and eventually release more as DLC. Also, “Tug-o-War”? Uh-oh. I wonder if you’ll still have to rotate the control stick. Though the Switch analog sticks are much safer to rotate than the N64 ones
Considering how fragile the joycons are, I don't think it would be a good idea to keep the rotating mechanic

I was sooo happy when they announced Mario Party Superstars, I still play to this day Mario Party 2, 5 and 6 with my sister, we love Mario Party series so much! We'll definitely play this one. 😊💗
Tread Carefully might be that Mario Party 8 mini game where you walk across a rope over a chasm and the wind can blow you off if you’re not careful
My other guess would be it's one of those minigames involving conveyor belts/treadmills or something like that, because the Mario Party series loves its pun names for minigames

Wild to see that we’re already 60% revealed on minigames and boards so far. I’d also like to note the fact that with these games revealed, it means at least a quarter of the minigames from Top 100 have been replaced in this one.

I have a feeling that Tread Carefully IS paths of Peril. If the one you thought Paths of Peril isn't, it could be the wall climbing minigame from Mario Party 9.
Tread Carefully could also be Treacherous Tightrope from Mario Party 8. They might have changed the name because they had to adjust it for no motion controls.

I’m also predicting that the one crayon mini game from MP4 might make a return as evidenced by the set of four crayons in the pause menu
But this time, hopefully with a remix of "Languid Cold Sweat" (the theme that played in the original MP4 version of the Minigame) - it's one of my favorite MP4 Minigame themes.

I liked the night day mechanic in Mario Party 6.
Either 5, 6, or both had an orb mechanic that i really liked. It sort of placed traps on the board for your opponents for your benefit. Idr which game that was in.
i hope we see dlc in the future for 4 and onwards boards. maybe a dlc pack with 2 boards and 10 mini games from a game after 3

I also am desperately hoping that for Mario Party 2 boards (or every board), your character is dressed in board themed costumes. I loved that feature and feel like it needs to make a return! Or maybe just cosmetics in general that you spend points on/get randomly after you finish a game. Then each player could create a costume for their character that either matches the boards theme or goes against it (cowboy costume on the Spaceland stage). We also really need good cinematics where the winner of the game fights Bowser. It was so hype to barely beat your friend in a game and then your character zaps Bowser with a magic wand or beats him in a cowboy duel.
They also need to do DLC at some point. I hated Super Mario Party because the boards were so small and boring so I'm glad that these boards will be big and fun (since N64 Mario Party's boards were infinitely better than Super's) but there's still only 5 which just isn't enough. If they release 2 boards and 10 more classic mini games in a DLC for $10 or $15, I'd be incredibly hyped. Hopefully they'd do 2 or 3 DLC packs.
As someone who never played the old Mario parties(1-3) I’m hyped. I really only played the old ones at this place in Jersey called yestercades, where it and consoles as old as the DK 80s game. Technically the oldest Mario party I have is the last one by Hudson, DS.

I think Tread Carefully is that one from Mario Party 3 where you have to run 3 ice blocks to make a bridge.
omg these are such great mini games that they are adding to the new mario party game. I loved all these mini games in mario party 1, 2, 3 and 4. I want this game so badly. i wish it could come out now.
I would like to see some HD versions of the GBA, DS, and 3DS Mario Party games. There surely some good minigames in at least a couple of them.

Bobbing Bowloons is very interesting, due to it being an item minigame. Meaning there's probably others from 3, and possibly even a couple from 2?
I can't remember all of the mini games back in the day but it seems like number 2 and 3 which had the best mini games are on this. And the ones like bumper balls where you have to push your opponents off til you're the last one standing are the best kind for sure. I think there was one where you were on ice and you had to do the same sort of thing. I hope that's on here. Dungeon duos is an epic mini game and leaf leap I love it. Seems like they picked most of the best ones. Book squirm another goodie. And the one where you have to press the buzzers until Bowser's head flies off. Amazing

I guess they choose the best and far most competitive minigames to be remastered in MP Superstars. This is amazing. Can't wait to the see the last 40 remaining minigames to be featured.
The Speedboat from Mario Party 10 was my favorite of that game!!!

Mushroom Mixup is by far my favorite mini game from the mario party series. I have very awesome memories as a kid playing that minigame over and over!
At 3:08 that might been Buried Treasure from Mario Party 1, because it’s seen like it resembles the sand in that minigame

Ouu I see some I know from the GameCube era! Oh wait a minute.. that one minigame where u jump on the parakoopas is from 6 and has a nighttime version which instead of going up, u have to get to the bottom first! Wonder if they are gonna include the nighttime version of certain Mario Party 6 minigames in them? Man I wish we could have GameCube era boards in this collection as well!

The Bumper Balls you mentioned was from MP2 with the Lava, MP1 had everyone on an island surrounded by water

Crazy Cutters was technically in Mario Party 1, even if they renamed it in 2. So was Tipsy Turny. A lot of the games in 2 were slight variations of games from 1 anyway.

To be fair, 7/9 of those Mario Party 1 games are basically from Mario Party 2, so yay :D
I've been literally talking to my friends about a Mario party "ultimate" like this for the past 2 years. My only gripe is only having 5 boards. Why do we keep getting less and less boards? Mp1 had 8 boards lmao. And there are at least 3 great boards on each of the n64 Mario parties, if not more. They are leaving out too many great ones. I wanted this to finally be the reason I don't need to set up my n64 anymore. I hope they at least release little dlc packs, like an mp1 pack, an mp2 pack, an mp3 pack, each with 2 boards exclusively from that Mario party. I don't care what that dlc will cost, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Please, Nintendo, please release more of the classic boards. 5 is not enough.

And I'm also infuriated that only 5 boards will return! They should have more, and from other entries too!! Lucky for that, I have my Returning Boards Suggestions: Mario’s Rainbow Castle from Mario Party 1, Horror Land from Mario Party 2, Waluigi’s Island from Mario Party 3, Koopa’s Seaside Soiree from Mario Party 4, Sweet Dream from Mario Party 5, Snowflake Lake and Faire Square from Mario Party 6, Grand Canal and Windmillville from Mario Party 7, and Koopa’s Tycoon Town from Mario Party 8.

Only change I would make would probably be Goomba’s Greedy Gala instead of Koopa’s Seaside Soirée.

I’m just hoping that some of these mini games and boards will return, and hopefully Nintendo will add boards from 4-8 because I feel that it’s unfair for these games not to have their boards returning.
The GameCube minigames will always forever be my favorite! I miss playing it! Especially 6 and 7!

I wish they brought back Mario Party 6 Boards. It was my very first Mario Party game and I like the Day & Night mechanics.
This game already has all my favorite minigames, I just hope the last two boards are good, I want Waluigis Island or Spiny Desert
I got hyped when I saw Final Countdown I was so addicted to that as a kid.
