It seems the games still follow nostalgia while improving on the graphics and making character designs more up to age. I’m not complaining, I like it.

That was one of my favorites from the 7th Mario party and the last major Mario party game on the GameCube to ever be released, I hope they bring back the Mario party’s from the GameCube days as those were definitely one of my childhood favorite games being a kid in elementary school back in the day!

This video made me feel very old. I can't believe it's been over 20 years since the first Mario Party.
Got emotional playing some of the mini games from my childhood past especially when they kept the music from the mini games as well. I love this Mario party so much and I’m hoping for DLC content

I forget which of them does the intros, but he's crazy good. To be fair, they do latch onto what is likely to be coming. Like the 3D All Stars collection was so heavily rumored last year that I'm sure they had it ready months ahead of time. Same with the Metroid Intro just because of Prime 4. I'm sure they had a Mario Party one ready in case of a new Mario Party was announced.
Tbh, they may have a bunch of intros made for different franchises to use whenever. Wouldn't surprise me if they had a Starfox one or a Mario Kart one ready in the event of a new game for either franchise.
The improvements from n64 mini games are excellent, but sometimes with GameCube onwards, there’s a bit of preference for the original for subtle reasons with the graphics. Some surfaces were given a brighter treatment and it may not always look better being shinier or altered.
Even with the N64 graphics there is sometime some additional details in the original. Like having rail in the overview map of the minecart minigame instead of the generic minimap display they developped. Or painting that separate each screen instead of the generic multi screen display.
Which is not surprising really since they had to recreate 100 mini games with all those animations. They just couldn't have as much details.
Dungeon Duos looks so good in HD. It brings a tear to my eye.
You're not kidding. It's amazing. It's one of my favorite mini-games in Mario Party 4.

I’m so hyped for getting this game tomorrow but I’m so sad there are only 2 MP8 mini games. I grew up on 8! The soda shaking mini game, chomp wash mini game, the stuck in a computer mini game, and playable Miis (in special mode) we’re all so cool. If they ever update this game with dlc, I would love to see more MP8 mini games and maybe even a board. I would love to see Koopas Tycoon Town return!
If they were to release a dlc, surely there won't be any board from Mario party 8, Mario party superstars is supposed to bring the boards from '64 and surely with dlc, things wouldn't be different :(

It's really nice to see the differences in the MP3 mini-games. Not only the better visuals but they're like how they would look if MP3 was not inside a toy box.
This is a really good selection of minigames. Some really good ones are missing but overall its good
Can I just mention I love that they changed color based minigames for Color Blind people like the Mushroom Minigame.
My God these remakes look amazing!
The new textures, lighting and models are very nice, but there is quite a lot of fun stylized things in the originals that have been removed, which is a shame.
Yeah, Super Mario Party 3's stylization was intended to replicate that of the Super Mario World series, but that was lost in the Switch version. I don't really mind though, seeing as the Switch game was an accumulation of multiple games, and trying to incapsulate the style derived from one game would seem out of place, as like I said, it was game specific.
If you look closely you can see the switch has improved graphics
there needs to be atleast like 3 more mp9 minigames because honestly mp9 had some of the best minigames

Im noticing as I watch that the design team decided to ignore the " 2d boardgame aesthetic" in the earlier mini games. :( They could have crafted-worlded it

Although I LOVE the visual updates made here, I wish they would've carried over the old N64 art style for some of these minigames. Not a single cloud or hill with eyes in the background! lol.

Really hoping they decide to announce DLC on more boards/minigame packs. Maybe a 1 player mode with a slight storyline. Or just, more Bowser minigames since I only saw 2.
Edit: Okay so Bowser's Face Lift is also one, but still that's only 3. Plus Bowser's punishments feel really baby-ish and the worst is losing 10 coins in the minigames.

A bit disappointed that none of the handhelds got any mini game reps. Since they’re not doing 10 from each numbered title like Top 100, it would’ve been nice to get something like Cyber Scamper or Soap Surfers in HD.

Camera Shy is my favourite minigame of all time so I'm hoping for handheld minigames DLC.
About half of these games made it to “The Top 100” on 3DS. Either way, the graphics on the newer Switch system look more appealing to the admittedly cruder graphics in the N64 games. Not to mention newer details in the Switch version.

Only thing I am disappointed by only 2 MP 8 mini-games. MP 8 was my first and favorite MP game. While it’s nice it hasn’t been forgotten here I wish we had more. But other than that super hyped for this! I get to finally play mini-games from the N64/GC games which I never played before! Except for MP 4 I loved that one.
While there's only 2, atleast the minigames they picked were good because i would be pissed if it was Flip the Chimp or Crank to Rank.

nah, the mario party 10 and superstars have different engine so it does have different light and texture
The two looks good, the only diferente is the lighting, super stars is more dark.I prefer the super stars look.

The colors seem a bit more washed out, but they’ve done this before with remakes and remasters. I think I’m just blinded by nostalgia, but Mario Party 4 still looks great.
I haven't played most of the earlier Mario Party games so I'm just curious, are there any glaring omissions here? Like fan favourite minigames that didn't make the cut?

My opinions on Mario Parties’ graphics compared to Superstars:
N64: Not good
GC + MP8: Decent
MP9: Good
MP10: Amazing, can barely see a difference between the minigames
Yes they look very different since they have a totally different color palette xd But yeah, the 10 looks great.

Yes... It makes the Nintendo GameCube Mario Party video games look better in the proverbial graphics and resolution department.
@@StevenVillman =b Generally emulators can make all 3d games look better. Even 2D games if you install graphic mods. It's just that GameCube games often have little quirks that make it obvious it's on an emulator. Such as some Mini games have graphical issues in Mario Party. Paper Mario TTYD has slow down whenever a page flip and fold out scene happens in the game. It used to be you couldn't 100% Sunshine if you raised the framerate to 60fps, though that was mostly fixed a while ago with a patch.

I am so very in love with the low poly designs of these characters and I hope Nintendo one day realizes how much cuter some of them (particularly bowser) used to be
Where superstars doesn’t improve on the originals is in charm. Look no further than the generic choice of font compared to the originals which scream Mario party
It's just nostalgia
There is much charm to the original character designs, almost like they were made out cardboard or origami. The original versions' colours were less complex but were much more striking and vibrant.

Because 1-7 were the best traditional Mario Party’s and are being represented of the classic form with Superstars. 8-10 was the downfall of the franchise so they want to bring some scraps to at least recognize the minority of people who enjoyed those. 8-10 just didn’t hit like the originals. Maybe it has to do with the Younger audience that favor 8-10.

Pit Boss was one of the worst minigames I ever played in the Mario Party series. I'm just glad Something's Amist didn't make it in. That was the No. 1 worst minigame I ever played. No matter what I do with the Rumble feature on, I always end up losing. It was as if my controller won't rumble.
