I wasn't going to post this tour as I thought folks would be too busy but I have gotten so many appreciative comments for it. I am so glad everyone enjoyed it. You have a fabulous rest of the week too!
I think it is blooming most of the year, and even in winter they have so many beautiful lights that it is still colorful. I would like to go every month for a walk through. I am sure it changes a lot with each week.
Thanks for the tour! Who waters all those pots and man are the birds happy😅. The orange and purple flowers about 11:20 must be snaps and penstemon? I have some Mullien that is deep pink and purples, but that wasn’t the leaves. I hope they get taller this year. I’m probably late to the game on liatris so I will do heliotrope instead as I have the seeds already. It was the original choice for new to me this year. Merry Christmas! 🎄
They had tons of workers there deadheading, mowing and cleaning up so I assume the also water but the area does get a LOT of rain so maybe that takes care of the watering much of the time. That was purple Cardinal Flower with the snapdragons, wasn't it gorgeous! I have yet to grow it myself but I want to find seeds. The red is the most known but all over Victoria there was red, magenta and the purple colors. I fell in love with it.
@ oh yes, I forgot that area does get a lot of rain. Back in the day we had a beautiful 80 acre property and a stream down below and that’s where I first spotted red cardinal flowers. They grew in shade and moisture which I don’t have here-lol, quite the opposite. Thx again!
It was in late August, the 22nd. It was an unusually rainy cool week. Everyone here in Victoria kept saying that it is normally 80 degrees and sunny this time of year. It didn’t try to start raining until later in the afternoon., so that was nice. It did get a bit crowded once all the cruise ship visitors arrived about 10am or 11 so if you get the chance to visit try and get there as it opens.
Merry Christmas! Thank you for sharing the colorful and inspirational gardens with us.
I enjoyed putting this together so you could share the beauty, thank you for watching!
