    Thoroughly surprised and impressed by this combo! Let's see if it holds up over time for a full review. For those who don't wanna wait, I have put links to purchase the rod and reel in the description.

      Hello from Ukraine! Great vid!
      I just ordered the reel for perch fishing with 3-7g rod. Is it fit good? also interesting how can in go with 8-14g?

    The kuying Teton is a suprisingly good rod I have the casting 662L paired with an 16 aldebaran bfs and it launches tiny baits easily. Great reviews and try out videos keep up the good work.

    Hehe, trulinoya and seaknight are chinese brands that even I trust, both reels and rods are good, not only that the trulinoya bear king crank baits are killer lures here in Europe for chub and redfin perch, and seaknight has some good rapala deep diving imitations that I caught my pb pike on and my first zander.

    Hi, thanks for taking the time to review this combo, especially with emphasis on the reel. Your videos show your passion
    I know that you mention this is fresh out the box, but I would be interested to know how it operates in say six months to a year?
    Maybe this is why some of those more expensive reels are more expensive for a good reason? I honestly don’t know it’s just a thought
    Great video’s though and I shall look forward to seeing your next video
    Cheers

    I was just in Singapore last week ...Im bummed I didnt look you up. We went fishing a couple of times down by the marina and I caught a few peacock bass. It was my first introduction to BFS fishing. I loved it I was amazed at the size of the fish you can catch on such small gear. I completely agree the price is off the charts. I'm not sure why. How can a spool cost $167 even if it's made out of titanium. I'm glad I found your channel thanks for your time and go rip some lips!

    I appreciate the videos on BFS combos. Here in the US its hard to find BFS reels and rods. The Shimano Alderbarron BFS is the only reel I can find in the US. We have the same small lures but need to use ultra lite spinning combos to throw them. Most trout fishermen here use them but are very rare in the bass and saltwater world. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

    Great video dude. I am in the USA and my latest thing I’ve been into is basically what you said about yourself haha. I have been tuning up some Dawon and Doyo baitcasters for light weight stuff and it’s just cool when I can cast one of those as good as my Alphas platform Daiwas and similarly expensive Shimanos. Keep up the good vids bro, thanks.

    Hi, I'm thinking about getting myself baitcasting combo. I've decided to go with tsurinoya xf 50 but I'm struggling with the rod selection. I would try finesse. I would use it to target local species mostly chub on crankbaits. Lure weight would be between 3 and 6 grams mostly. I was wondering have you tried this particular setup with crankbaits in moving water? Would it bear a crankbait in somewhat strong current? If not this particular rod, can you suggest another one in this price range?

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad to hear that man! I hoped for the same thing too when I bought the kuying thunder together with my teton last year. Unfortunately my experience with the thunder was really bad, that's why I never posted anything about it. Build quality issues, drag issues, spool issues, brake issues, almost every part of the reel had issues for me.

      +Jeremy Tan that will be tricky haha. Telescopics aren't like lures, reels or regular rods where even the budget ones can still be good. Most budget telescopics are really, really bad haha. But I'm putting together a telescopic rod video, it should be up over the next few weeks.

    Love your videos learning alot about Bait Finesse fishing watching them. I have that same rod but I have the Kuying Thunder finesse baitcaster I feel i made a mistake buying the reel. Wish I saw this video before i purchased it. You have any experience with the Kuying thunder?

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Clevon Melville thanks, glad my content was able to help you! Yes I have the kuying thunder and unfortunately it definitely isn't a good reel, or at least the one I got wasn't good. Plenty of issues with it from ill fitting parts to non-existent brakes. Kuying makes pretty good rods, but their reels are questionable.

    I've got that reel. The more I use it the more I like it. Had it two days. Casting 1/8 th oz. 50 60 feet... a few blow ups but not bad. Using 4 lb flourocarbon. and 45 to 50 feet using 6 lb. Don't load the reel . Leave it less than 1/2 full. makes a big difference. Meh, just noticed this is old video. You already know all that.

    One question, for finess its better a short rod (6 ft) or a long rod 6.6 or 7 ft i will start on this.

    • @mojondro
      @mojondro 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is matter of where you're going to be fishing,if is a small creek is better a shorter rod in the 5 to 5.5 rod and if is a river you can go with the 6 to 7 foot rod

  • @刘鱼神

    Why never use daiwa reel ?daiwa brake system is best for light lure

    • @gvidasgi2480
      @gvidasgi2480 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      only in windy conditions, centrifugal brakes love bad flying lures more. btw best system for light lures is new shimano FTB on aldebaran bfs 16 and scorpion bfs.

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +刘鱼神 that would be highly subjective to the user I think haha. I personally feel centrifugal brakes work best for light lures because the brakes only kick in at a certain speed and gradually increase as the spool spins up faster. This means that the brakes have almost no effect on the startup inertia because they are completely off at the start of the cast. Mag brakes no matter the brand are always on to some extent even at the lowest setting.
      However, I do agree from what I have heard and from my limited time with daiwa reels, that daiwa's mag brakes are best in class, but I don't own any daiwas so I can't really comment on it. That is also the reason why I don't feature any daiwa bc reels in my videos, I don't own any and I'm def not gonna go out and buy a branded reel just for the sake of testing, it's too expensive hahaha

    Just revisit the video and an idea struck,what about a couple of Chinese abec 7 hybrid ceramic bearings for this reel and see how low can it cast they are about 7 US dollars in AliExpress

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those china abec 7's are good bearings but they probably won't make too much of a difference for this reel I think. The ones that will make the difference are the purple finesse micro bearings from ali express. They run for about the same as the abec 7's. Search for DIY bearings and check them out, you can't miss them, they are the only purple ones on aliexpress.

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Fisch Freak perhaps hold off on the rod for abit if you haven't already bought it, i recently found 2 other rods at the similar price point that have potential, 1 is on the way and the other is here and i have brought it out 3 times and it is impressive.
      There is nothing wrong with the teton of course, it's a great rod, but I just thought you'd want to know if there are any other potentially equally good options out there at similar price points.
      Check out the Tsurinoya Dexterity C632UL on aliexpress, the colour may put some off but it's been really awesome for the first 3 sessions out. I think it's worth at least keeping an eye on it.

    What kind of line is the best for Bfs
    braid or fluor/ mono i see use that too ?
    Gr

    • @EddieLindsay681
      @EddieLindsay681 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Braid is best for BFS reels hands down and if you feel you need a more stealthy presentation just tie on a Fluoro leader. I would recommend using a braid that's around .14mm or larger because anything under that can cause lots of different problems, I use 8lb PowerPro or 10lb PowerPro Slick 8

    • @mojondro
      @mojondro 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use braided line because first is better you can spool more line on the reel and second most if not all of the shallow spools manufacturer recommend braided line because it has no memory like monofilamet and mono can warp your spool

      Hi, just to confirm. I am french living in Singapore. I ordered Teton rods directly on the link sent by BCSG and I can confirm they are efficient for shipping ( quicker than other stores on aliexpress). I received all my orders from this store from 5 to 7 days in SG ( depending when they shipped after receiving your order) because they use DPEX or FDEX ( quicker than other shipment methods on Aliexpress). I guess you should receive in 10-12 days max in US.
      For this Teton rod, the price is cheaper for a high carbon module rod (Toray 46 tons) with fuji ring and seat.
