    Doesn’t matter if you’re an engraver or a guy writing code or a body specialist like you, you just put your head down and do the work. Nice job.

    You’re a true artist. My 30yr career in hand eye pressure coronation in high end finishing of a different field has peeked my interest in testing my abilities in this field (on my own test vehicles of corse 🤷🏻‍♂️) it’s a good start since they been clobbered by hail. 👍🏼

    Bruh thanks for the awesome video. I looked up a lot of videos and all these other other TH-cam pdr dudes just show the damage and finish product, we don’t learn jack.
    You show the tools use etc, video great. Thanks man!

    I have watched over 100 PDR videos on TH-cam, and your videos are the BEST, you show great detail, good explanations of what you are doing, great clear images of the process, and all the tools needed and explain their purpose. Just all around the BEST PDRvideos on TH-cam!
    However, I do have one question, at the time stamp 9:25 you show heating the flat end of the whale tail tool using a propane torch, can you explain why and what that heating does? Thanks

    My 2010 slk350 just got hammerd with crazy looking hail. It was marble sized hail that was froze into fist size hail. $8,000 was the estimated cost of repair. I wish I could send it to you. I like your work better than anyone else's I've seen. You tackle a whole car while others just do one maybe two dents.

      Springdale Ar. Two weeks prior a tornado touched down and missed my block by a couple hundred feet. Man, I thought I was good then the hail hit. I didn't know there were so many PDR techs who chased storms. They flooded the area fighting for our business. If you don't mind could you please give me some tips on how to separate the pros from the armature dent techs? I am afraid of choosing the wrong person and not getting a quality job. I never knew hail damage repair was so in depth.

    Amazing work as always, I've got a question perhaps you could answer. See, today was my first time trying PDR, glue pulling was straighforward no problem, but HOW do you know where to APPLY your pdr rod to fine tune the dent? The dent was so small i couldnt really feel it under my finger tip and I couldnt really see where I am pushing with the rod either. The only thing I could think of is that the metal I was working on was loose on the table instead of being fixed into the car, so possibly I didn't have enough leverage to make the metal move/stretch much and therefore i wasn't able to see it. Big thanks for your work, it's truely inspiring and satisfying watching that metal morph, cheers!

    That car was hit! Very repairable though. Time consuming. I’d plan for 1 1/2-2 days. Without seeing the sides and just going off the top of my head not looking at an estimate sheet (since the damage on the estimate sheet would probably put you at replacing panels instead of repairing them) I’d say somewhere between 6-7k to repair. Not a bad 2 days though. I love hail. The cars always come out sweet and the money is amazing. I enjoy your videos. Mainly the large complex glue pull ones since that’s what I’m doing too. Keep up the good work!

    • @edwardli8938
      @edwardli8938 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      $6-7K would total out most cars worth under $10,000.
      I am hoping a PDR expert would not charge $6000 for 2 days work.

    • @bradburtrand1527
      @bradburtrand1527 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edwardli8938 well I work for a big company and have given hundreds of estimates on hail. The problem is working for a large company you get less than 50% of what you bill. I’d gross around $2400 of that and then pay taxes. I agree this amount would total that car but something more expensive, no. Hail is good money. The average hail tech makes between 200k-350k per year and a lot of them only work 9 months out of the year. I choose to work for dealerships and not concentrate on hail because I’d be away from my family all year. This job pays well because not too many guys can do it. It’s a tough line of work

    • @bradburtrand1527

      @@edwardli8938he’s saving this car in the video from being totaled because he bought the car and wants to repair it to sell it and make money. . Did you actually watch the video? That car was smashed and yes 6-7k to fix it is about right. Don’t doubt my estimates. I’ve done hundreds if not thousands of hail estimates. You don’t know what you’re talking about as far as estimates. Any Pdr tech would agree with me on my estimates and some may be higher than mine

      It really depends on the size of the dents and the amount . With Smaller dents the dent hog will blow through a roof pretty quickly using a soft tip.
