that cloud formation is awesome; but i didnt see a lightning and due to the winds i also did not realy hear the thunder, but based off the clouds, i believe it actually could happen. it was almost pitchblack in the background with the white contrast of the front, and the snow is kind of powdery wich is always with thundersnow.. good camera and good point of view. realy nice video.
No, this is a severe thunderstorm. Thundersnow happens 1% or less and there needs to be snow, thunder, and especially lightning for it to be thundersnow.
What a peculiar sight. I couldn't tell if all that ragged white stuff was cloud, or batches of snow that weren't reaching the ground. Possibly the latter, because at 2:33 an aerial drift of snow flew past quickly.
mmtorres26 The contrast was perfect with a low sun to the left of the incoming storm. I could see snow curtains to my right sweeping across the landscape and snow swirling in the air.
That looks so creepy to me. But that don't look like no thundersnow, that looks like a regular thunderstorm that's getting ready to produce a tornado.
For it to be thundersnow, there has to be thunder and lightning, while snowing, I didn't see or hear any thunder and lightning.
I can't express how amazingly stunning that is to see!

Wow! Looks weird my parents recently moved to Texas looks like that when it rains all the time. That's why I love San Diego.

That's an awesome fast moving cloud formation!
Kevin Day Yes, it was the 'magic hour'; low sun, which made for awesome lighting.
Looks like a snownado.

TheScott21467 The crazy part was how fast the storm moved in. The snow was like small styrofoam peanuts.
