Ah yes, the famous 'Eddie jumping off the camera rig'! :D Gotta love that boy and his antics! Eddies told the story in recent years about meeting the cameraman again, decades after this, and all that time he (Eddie) had felt so bad and guilty cos he thought the cameraman was mad at him for getting on the rig, and thought that was why he was shouting, but actually the camera man was shouting to the people holding the rig on the ground, telling them to get more people and not let go, otherwise when Eddie jumped off, the cameraman would have gone flying after the rig was no longer holding Eddies weight. So Eddie thought the guy was mad at him all these years and he wasnt, and they met and everything was good, and they brought him out on stage in The Netherlands a few years ago - very sweet, and just good guys all round :)
@@SaeedReacts. Yeah, that was a great story of Eddie meeting the cameraman in person 26 years later. Here's a video of Eddie telling this story on stage during Pearl Jam's show at Pinkpop 2018: th-cam.com/video/pen5JlQjNjg/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=3voor12extra
I am so glad i have witnessed this legendary moment at my first time going to Pink Pop. I was 15 years old, and have been going to pink pop ever since. In '93 Rage against the machine caused the audience to make minor earthquake.
Awesome. I’ve watched this many times, can’t get enough. I’m glad nothing bad happened because this happened in the rain. During an interview with Apple a band mate expressed how it got to where he couldn’t even look Eddie’s direction when he would pull those antics. When Pearl Jam was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Eddie apologized to all his band mate to for putting them through that. I just absolutely love Eddie Vedder.🔥🙌🏼🤘
Whish I could have been there. I live pretty close and was 16 at the time. But I didn't even knew about it. I went a few years ago when Pearl Jam was there and it was amazing. Vedder even talked about the jump and the camera guy and wore the same shirt.
@SaeedReacts. I lived right at the border to the Netherlands and Belgium in Germany, close enough to go by bike. But my parents would have never have allowed their daughter to go there. Well, I was happy to see them in 2018.
Great mix drop by Vedder. He had given his typical 100% effort. I can’t imagine being the band to follow that set and song. No way you could match that energy and performance.
The ‘Porch’ live stage dive… Finally lol. That’s a very good way to start the year 2025. Best wishes to you for many more great musical discoveries this year again! 🎉😊
Legendary performance, back when Eddie was really wild. Mike McCready rules 4ever. This song is sefinitely one of the several peaks from Ten. Happy New Year and all the best!🤘😜🤘
I love all things PJ and Eddie Vedder!! I've been a fan from the beginning and saw them live several times!! This is one of my favs!! My porch growing up was not safe, the streets were safer! I love Eddie! Thanks Saeed!!❤
Seen em live twice...great both times. The debut, Ten album, is one of the greatest debut albums ever. Right up there with Zeppelin 1 and dare i say, Cold Chisel's self titled debut album. Happy new year Saeed...wish you all the best...i suggest "Immortality", "Not for you", or "Corduroy", all from the Vitalogy album. Oh, and its ok, i'm the dude who never quite made it out of the beer drinking section until the concert is half over. I once saw Soundgarden and the support band was my favourite band at the time (still love them), You am i. Anyway, our train got held up so we were sober when we got in the entertainment centre and You am i had just came on. We sacrificed seeing them (we could hear them though), they were good but we got a few beers in us and didn't miss Soundgarden.
I managed to miss both The Tragically Hip and Spinal Tap on Canada Day in my drinking days (I was either in the beer tent drinking or in line for beer tickets). On the other hand, I did get backstage and drink with another band in their trailer and watched some of the concert from behind the band on stage. Soon began my first attempt at sobriety. So I can identify with your imagining that had you been there, you probably wouldn't have seen Eddie doing his thing.
Great reaction as usual man! I know how you feel about story songs, so you got to check out Why Go as well as Wish list, I'd rather sure you will love them both.
Yall don’t even know how based homie at the end in the grey Yale sweatshirt must of been. A punk in a Yale sweatshirt in the early 90s had a IQ of like 140+. Then like most things it became a fad for like 2 years.
Classic! There is a video somewhere on youtube that compiled all the (filmed) climbing/jumping antics of Eddie back in the day -- a lot much more scary than this!
This was actually quite bad and you can see Eddie realised he messed up when the crowd collapsed under him. He's yelling at them to get up, and when he gets back on stage he's checking on them to make sure they're all getting up. Bear in mind it was wet and muddy, and just a few years before several people had been crushed in the mud at the front of a Guns gig in the UK, which led to global press and negativity about festivals. I love Eddie, but that was undoubtedly one of the stupidest things he ever did at a live show lol
Oh god. You sound like a friend of mine from when I was 13. Haven't you evolved from this elitist nonsense since you were a teenager? As a 70s child too, I managed to evolve and learn to appreciate music without the bs tribal drama.

This was their first big festival. Ed was used to just diving into the crowd at small shows, but he had to find another way at this show!
"You could see it as an obstacle, but I think Mr. Vedder sees it as a challenge." 😂

When concerts were worth going to
They still are.
Legendary performance of Porch. Seen them live a heap of times over the years and heard Porch played live a few times too. Great that reacted to this
Porch unplugged ❤
Thanks for the recommendation!
How he didn't badly injure or worse back in the day, still amazes me to this day 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That was crazy! The wildest stage diving I ever saw live was at a Soundgarden show. Those grunge boys were fearless.
Iconic 😊 im sure you'll love the ljve from Holland '92 Release... Pure raw and beautiful emotion! ✌💚🌟
A little Hendrix "Voodoo Chile Slight Return" mixed into the start of the guitar solo.
Yeah, McCready makes no secret of the fact that he’s a huge Hendrix fan. His playing style on so many songs very closely mirrors Jimi.
Camera crane?? Challenge accepted.🤣🤣lmao! Loved watching your reaction to this. Pure adrenaline rush. Long live LIVE rock!
Gravity? Eddie was like, naaah! 🤣. This was awesome. Thanks for watching!

Would have been awesome!
I live about 2 hours and 30 minutes away, but was only 5 at the time 😃

Soundgarden played this same show!!!
Definitely need to check out more Soundgarden!

Jumping in the new year head first 😃
Thanks so much for watching and i wish you and your family a great 2025!
No doubt you'll love PJ's "Release", "Garden", "Rearviewmirror" and "Daughter"!
Checkout their song "Given to Fly". So good

There is an unplugged version of this song as well and it is excellent. Much easier to really "hear" the composition of the song. Definitely worthy.
Eddie loves jumping and swimming off things
The Fixer, Animal, Corduroy, Just Breathe...love your channel, very insightful!
Loving your journey brother 🤘

Need to check out Why Go from this same concert!
I wanted to go get a drink 😂

I was 13 back then. Also too young to be there, bummer. And it's a good song too.
Listen to the Unplugged version instead of the studio version. They play it live a beat or two faster than the studio version.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I agree... Unplugged version is magnificent!
Came here to say the same. GREAT performance on Unplugged. Another great one is years later on the Letterman stage. Luckiest crowd in the world!

It helps to have an Eddie Vedder in your band!

Should of played this through to end of the show

Just my opinion…As a child of the 70’s, I’ll never understand how any rock/music lover could be exposed to PJ then think, Nirvana was a good band.
@@TexasMagnolia both are good

PEARL JAM ALIVE SNL 1992. YOU WON'T FIND IT ON TH-cam. YOU ONLY FIND THE REHEARSAL. GO FIND THE ACTUAL PERFORMANCE AND YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID
Unplugged Porch version 1000 x times better.
