Shoot, we had a power outage today. Sucked because I ran through all my reserves so I was on E for the outage. SMH. And it was a rainy day. I hope to never do that again. haha
i went on marketplace got a free awning then swapped for a 415 watt solar panel which was delivered free and got 30amp charge controller and connectors for £10 in UK
for muti panel systems it sounds great. For a small system with just the one panel, any problem your out of business. if you have 3 -4 smaller panels wired in parallel, you still have power, in series you can wire around the bad one. still it's not a bad price
I used the massive renogy 450 watt panels to power my EB240 and Oupes 2400. I can charge both of them up fully on a nice sunny day. I just moved the two massive panels to track the sun. Instead of 628 small panels. That would be a nightmare.
Im glad they include shipping in that price. Its a good way to get a couple big panels but that price is kinda like paying for panels from amazon which is understandable. Im glad they figured out a way to make them comparable as well.
I think the price will adjust eventually but being second to market is an interesting place to be in. I think EcoFlow had a 400 watt panel but it probably didnt do well either.
@AskIveSolar ,panels at this very high price will not sell well due to the great used warranty used panel market and dye to the fast paced new market of solar panel
You can maximise imput by simply wetting the panel with cold Tap water, you should try you will be amazed even if you get fan 20w you might gain 60w if you cool the panel
@@niceboy60 That blue pitched roof behind you is begging for some guttering & a couple of large water butts. Great informative video by the way. I previously watched another video where a guy poured cold water onto his solar panel & it did increase the panels output.
@@AskIveSolar No, I'm not new to solar, and I am an electrical engineer. You did not show anything more than 280W, and just because you say it went to 330W doesn't mean you demonstrated it. My comment was valid.
@geoffschulz 7:49 shows 300. I asked if you were new to solar because very rarely will a panel put out full power. Most people who are familiar with panels know that you get about 80 percent output.
Interesting, but also keep in mind that different areas have watts per meter squared aka different strength in output. I can imagine if you had one of these, youd probably get close to 400. Theres a guy name Rodney something who got close to 400.
I don't understand why people buy expensive power stations. Why not use a real battery bank? I actually use Nissan Leaf EV modules and it is about as cheap as you can go with the best output. I am currently heating my hot tub with 8 modules.

the size is a basic 430 watt panel size. why not buy a trina vertex s+ 80$ with much better tech inside....millions 420-440 watt panels sold so nothing unique or whatever...its the basic size what all roofs full of....why buy athis panel size with 400 watt if other companys deliver better cells in it with ~430 watt????? for a basic roof panel what 100 top tech companys sell with more output for
GREAT Find Mr Ives - Occlusion lesson (thank u) ready for this dang Winter Sun!! 🙌🏽
Oh this is up my alley,I think . can I connect it to my 160’s ? What we gonna do with out you, thanks so much.
You could do two panels in series and then those two in parallel with the big one. But it would be a slightly odd pairing. But could work in theory.
Awesome stuff Ive. Joy to see the progress. Blesdings brother
Appreciate that Sir!!
Congrats on the 8k!
Thanks boss. What do they say, slow is smooth, smooth is fast! Lol.
Congrats That's a nice Panel.
Thanks! Now I just need more in this form factor! Im actually really glad that bi facials are becoming a more popular thing as well.
That's a big one, you need 5 more and you'll be able to power the neighborhood 😂😅😂. As usual another interesting and informative video.

what type or brand of awning?

Thats a good point Seymour. I dont think I have ever had a panel fail on me but still good point.
Nice. TH-cam hasn't alerted me to your videos in a while. Looks like you probably have about 3 times as many panels now.
Shoot, I haven't published many videos to be honest. Lol
@@AskIveSolar Gotcha. Me either. I get about the same views that I have been getting for 4 years no matter how many videos I make.

628 panels, lol
Ha @ 628 panels. Yeah man, Im over 100 watt panels but shoot, I still have a ton of them.
Thats nice! Bougerv also seems to have decent packaging as far as shipping and having panels arrive undamaged
Yeah packaging is usually pretty good on BRV stuff.
Sungold power got good deals too and the minimum is only 2 panels free shipping two 370 panels for 666

no taxes either 🙂 415 watt panels are 719, the only bad thing I can say is I had to wait a month for them to get here@@AskIveSolar
i like that!!! 400 watts!
I wonder how many i could fit on a cargo van (not a sprinter), I'm saving up for one 🤔 I'm going to have to look into that
Did you see there new smaller 200 watt panels. I really like those joints. Top con or something like that.
"We're going to do what we can here" Puts can on panel. !:- )
hahaha, wasnt even intentional. hilarious. Good catch
😂
Sup Ive con you put 2 pf those 400 watt panels on a ac200p? Holla
you can put 3 of them in series on an AC00p
Yep you can. They are 40 volt panels and you ACP has a 150 volt limit I believe. So you gucci!
@@AskIveSolar Thanks bruh been waiting for something like this I'm on it 💯
Read the comments as well. Some have mentioned other offerings to consider.
@@AskIveSolar ok Kool thanks
I really like this panel!!!! Hmmmm - going on my list!
Keep an eye out for the renogy bifacials too.
How long is the cable from the panel to the station?
A 50foot joint. Likely 12awg
I need some of those. Nice video.
Have you see those bi facial renogy panels. Im impressed by that price considering what most 100 watt panels cost and amazon shipping.
@@AskIveSolar yes I have seen them. They look interesting. I want to see more people review them though.
Nice video Ive, very informative, Thank you!

It's only 549 on Amazon and if you buy two of them it would be $1,000 it says
For Amazon, that's pretty cool!
Nothing in this video demonstrated this panel getting anywhere near 400 watts. The best I saw was 275 watts. I'm not convinced this is a 400w panel.

Ease of outcome. Not everyone wants to learn diy. But with the AIO units and a battery, you kinda can't go wrong with that.
@@AskIveSolar There is nothing to learn, solarr panel batteries and inverter. The power stations are just a battery and inverter combined.
So wire gauge, breakers, batteries in parallel to get amps you need....that's nothing to learn?
