Isn't the Rods Thicker in the gte compared to the ge? Because I saw a video of someone comparing the rods that came out of the is300 to the rods that came out of the arristo gte.
How much would it cost to turbo the sc300? I want to follow your build process for my 1993 sc300 2JZ-GE, I like your videos and looking forward to your turbo builds.
We will being doing a video on just that as soon as we finish our mr2 engine swap! We are going to try and do it for the lowest possible feasible amount! Thank you so much for watching!
I am kinda thorn, I finally can afford a 2jz but im thorn and i need your help. I found a nice GE VVTI (5speed) but the guy offered to sell me a GTE engine so I can swap it. Would you go for GE (but its 5speed and VVTI) or also get the GTE and swap it ? Thankyou
We’ve got a 2003 GS300 that we are planning to boost, this is very informative 🤙🏼
So glad it was helpful :)

For the vvti yes the rods are stronger on turb o on Non vvti they are the same for na or tt.
@BarkLife ok got it. Thanks for the reply.👍👍
@@BarkLife One more question. So the 2jzgte vvti motor comes with a cam position sensor where the distributor is located on the ge motor?
Yes. One cam sensor on vvti ge. On intake cam. no distributor on vvti ge. It's still wasted spark , plugs, not coil on plug tho. (Vvti ge)
@@drewdavis239 Ok Thanks for confirming, I did notice a guy on here selling a Coil On Plug conversion kit for the vvti.

Wait you’re saying the gte rods are the same as ge rods?!
Non vvti rods are. Vvti 2J such as Gs300 and Is300 are weak.
This is correct
Nice vid man, Which standalone are u runnning on the nat supra ¿?
Ecu masters
@@BarkLife Nice, does the android dash ap still work for the ecumasters ?
I just bagged my 02 Gs300,hoping this 2j motor is worth boosting?
Vvti do have weaker bottom ends but still able to be boosted just gotta keep that in mind.
And be mindful of that front sump

If the gte isn't a huge difference and has everything, that is a great plan over a vvti ge model.
@@BarkLife Just found and bought a 1994 Supra non vvti GE
@@larson175 congrats man that is awesome
