Literally no one prefers this. If I were gonna buy this I'd probably wait for the year 2 version where they go back to 4 switches after get roasted by every reviewer and customer for such a dumb decision that saves almost no money and add nothing to the customer experience.
Profile can be mistaken for a Genesis GV60.
No.
Absolutely no. The Genesis is much more ovoid in shape. This one had some hips....
A product that nobody asked for in an already overcrowded field... and for over 70K. Nope.
If it’s an overcrowded field then wouldnt that mean people are asking for it…?
Car people are such babies lmao, complaining about things that they can’t even afford
then go get p4
@@forestfire1231You are exactly right. A fully loaded P3 is still a lot cheaper than all of the german counterparts and people still manage to complain.
Yea, overcrowded, whatever you say guy.
its a pricey car. vs the Rivian R2 and Tesla model y
Teslas dont have torque vectoring do they?
This is not in the Model Y class. This is well above it. People keep making that mistake of putting it in the Model Y class. This is in the BMW iX class.
Much different vehicles though.
I think Volvo enthusiasts would just go for the electric XC90 than this. This is an expensive inbetweener car.
Never … 4x Volvo owner here, and I find the XC90 and EX90 hideous & too big
The EX90 is a big square boxy family car, very different in many ways.
The EX90 costs the same thing. This is a true sister car to the EX90. There is no electric XC90. That is hybrid.
This is a better looking vehicle, imo than the EX90, and Alex said it has more power. This is going more for sporty fun performance over family car luxury.
As an empty nester, this is exactly what I want. The EX90 is just much more than I need or want size-wise.
What? No CD Player? Lol
These Chinese cars manufacturers sure are something!
Developed in Sweden. Will be manufactored in the US. Registered on Nasdaq.

@@murrynathanoh please these comments are so tiresome
@@thomaswestin9987 Sounds like you could use a nap.
This is a Swedish car. Polestar is an offshoot of Volvo. And while Volvo is owned by a Chinese company it is run out of Sweden as is Polestar.
Hope that Polestar gets a handle on reliability. According to Consumer Reports, the reliability of the Polestar 2 is abysmal with a 5 out of 100 rating... this is Yugo territory!
My PS2 is more than 3 years, 85000 km or about 50000 miles and it is still rock solid. Drive it every day in cold Sweden, totally reliable.
@@thomaswestin9987 I'm glad that your vehicle has been reliable.
@@ronkemperfulI am glad you mentioned customer reports reliability rating, I was going to bring up the same thing. Our neighbors leased a Polestar 2. They ended up having to do a Lemon Law buy back. All the screens went black on the way from dealership after picking it up and bring it home. After that it was in and out of service until they lawyered up. Myself, I am on the fence with electric vehicles. I think I would wait until the technology matures or something new like solid state batteries or something else better comes along. I am just not completely convinced the current technology is sustainable the way it is now. Hopefully things get better.
I have a polestar 2 for 24k miles. Super reliable. I encourage you to look at polestar forum for a gauge of reliability. What are people talking about there.
I have heard that there is a bit of difference between the Volvo service spots, where some have less experience of Polestar. I suggest that you take it to a different perhsps bigger shop to get help. My support experience has been smooth overall except at a smaller place closer to where I live.
I’ll spend my dollars on a porsche 911, and upgrade my model 3 to a Model Y for $50k
The front end looks unfinished.
100K is a no go for Polestar. Rather have the ix. The giant iPad look is now dated
It always was dated, even when Tesla first brought it out
I been trying to think of for months who this guy reminds me of. Then I just watched the hangover 3....he reminds me of the dentist guy.
Aptera is better. Change my mind.
Aptera is only a 2 seater.
@@cypvh74 I said change my mind. Not tell me what I already know.
You lost me at china😢
The first thing Polestar should do is change the name.
How about Lodestar?
Why would someone buy this for Rivian money? … plus it’s Chinese not Swedish owned.
This is not a simple statement. It's a publicly traded corporation on the Stockholm exchange headquartered in Sweden. Geely owns around 40% of Polestar directly, Volvo still owns about 40% and Geely owns over 75% of Volvo, so ultimately around 71% of Polestar is owned by Geely. It seems that the long term plan is to divest slowly until they hold around 50% of both companies.
To your question, no.
Nah, not comparable to Porsche.
Correct, because of the unsafe and cheap Tesla-emulating cockpit in this vehicle
These range figures are terrible for such a large battery
Not given the size of the vehicle, there’s not much that will give you more real world range
@@AAutoBuyersGuide I dunno. Is the vehicle MUCH larger than my Ioniq 5, which easily gets 3.3mi/kWh highway?
edit: it's MUCH more powerful, but the motors should be tuned to deliver the bare minimum to propel the vehicle at steady state, etc.
Great review, but mediocre car at the best. Range is way too low for the battery size and interior looks too cheap for the price. They need to be priced close to Model Y, not EQE and iX.
MADE IN CHINA.
like BMW iX3 ...
And many many Teslas…
Plus this will be manufactured in the US.
