0:22 I'm sorry I said healer, I meant to say support, but I'm from Korea. In Korean, we call support 힐러(healer) and I automatically thought support was healer in English. I also appologize for using hanamura as one of the examples, but it was just the map for curve dash to the most extreme. Here is the link for my twitch channel. Please follow me on twitch if you would like to support me or watch me play live :) As soon as I reach 50 followers, I'll be giving away 15$ battlenet voucher to 5 people :D www.twitch.tv/deltamensch_ Discord link: discord.gg/7TCpTKH6 I wanted to thank Calamity, Axu, Sag, and Okkonen for helping me to make the video! Thanks again guys!
Calling the 3rd role a Support instead of a Healer is kind of dumb imo. If they are the sole reason the team doesn't die from damage, they are a healer. Healers don't HAVE to ONLY heal. I was one of the people that would complain about "Healer" but after taking time to think about it for myself. Its a pretty pointless argument
Btw you can cancel the finish of the blade animation(when he retrieves his blade) by wall climbing or dashing (deflect will just delay the animation to after the deflect)
hi! i think you may have missed one. recently i found a hidden tech that genji can do and im surprised nobody has seen it yet. basically, if you go into your spawn room, the H button on your keyboard will have an alternate functionality. pressing this button will actually reveal a secret screen with an entire roster of different individuals, clicking on them and choosing the orange button at the bottom will actually change his moveset!
better yet, this technique is possible on both console and pc, but requires the use of an extra input. it is called hitting the power button. this is mainly a great technique for genji but it is also great other characters such as sombra and mei😊 hope this helps!
Hearing about practical spots for the curve dash and then immediately showing hanamura kills me, but amazing video all the same! I had no idea about any of these and can't wait to see if they help!
" its easier to get into the backline " Me: dashes into backline to confirm a kill Them: go from 1hp to above 50hp by the time I get there Also Them: *Zenyatta Kick*
bro curve dashing genuinely hurts my brain I can't believe thats a real thing also you have to include DMGRE (workshop map) in here for practicing nano blading
These are really good tips! I've played this game a long time and as an ana player, stuff like this is how you tell when yours or an enemies genji is a cut above the others. So well done 👏
I think it makes total sense that watching genji gameplay prior to playing him helps. as more of a flex player, I do this to help get my mindset closer towards that of a pro or at least a T500 player, and pick up on mistakes I would make that the player I'm watching doesn't and anticipate those tough split second decisions. it's not fool proof especially considering I have significant playtime on nearly all of the non-DPS heroes, so there's a lot of variables to consider, but I can't bring myself to buckle down and try to get good at just a few heroes when so many of them are so fun and engaging to play
The montage thing sounds like clickbait but honestly, the only reason I got to where I am with Lucio is because I would constantly watch Lucio montages. I'd see something cool then want to replicate it, so I'd practice it over and over in QP to get it down right. It has improved my game sense so much
To better visualize curve dashing, think of a short widow grapple that can hook the air. Curve dashing is used all the time to help genji get around corners they peaked around.
to add to the curve dash, you need to approach the wall or object you're going to curve dash through at an angle facing the side you're going to dash around, for example, with the hanamura one where delta is on the high ground by mega, curve dashing towards the bell in first point, notice how he's angled to the side slightly facing the side/edge he's dashing around. If you were to attempt to curve dash while facing the wall perpendicularly, you would be stopped, the same applies if you're dashing from the entance of first point to the stairs on the left which leads to the mega, you'll be stopped.
if you dash before the last second of your blade ends you get an extra hit on ur dashed target, your blade animation will double going back in but you can wall climb cancel it.
At 1:15 if you start closer to the window you can actually curve all the way round the right side of the bell and end on the front left of it. I placed 6 Anas all the way round it years ago and hit 5 of them with 1 dash. I assume it still works the same way in ow2.
I love how enemy genjis always play like this but mine seem to not know what a dash is. xD great video. I now know what to look for as a support to avoid these burst damage techniques.
Could you please use a pop filter and add a highpass 100hz filter to your vocals so my hifi PA doesn't blow out my eardrums every time you pronounce a consonant? TY for the tips!
I actually figured the curve dash out a few months ago on accident when practicing and I’ve since then been using it a lot. You can even do it over rooftops and stuff that you can diag on doom
Imagine seeing a genji behind the wall and be like Oh cool genji's there ima run And he proceeds to defy physics and loop around the wall and 1 shot combo u
As a support main, watching this made me feel a little better knowing that some Genji players actually know what they‘re doing when attacking you. Too often they just dash into you and randomly start spamming right click, missing half the magazine and suddenly get the oneshot :c
Oh god I cannot wait to demolish teams with curved dash. I learned it’s an actual consistent thing you can do back in the beta but I didn’t know the requirements. Thanks for the tips and info bro.

ML7 *puts the gun down*
Bro stop apologizing, it's cringe!
I agree

I've cancelled the animation entirely with deflect before. Maybe it's because I cancelled deflect, IDK.
@@mage3690 oh cooll I never managed to actually
Or just with a well timed swing

don't tell too many people! they'll nerf genji again and make him unplayable!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im on Xbox, what it does?
@@lims6405 whatever button you press in the spawn room, i believe it is X

The curved dash is INSANE!!! If you master that as Genji you can catch enemies off guard so easily. Holy damn that looks insane and scary...
I always knew Genji’s dash had potential for more mobility. Coming from other games where gimmicks are used for movement.
rip ledge dashing
Main reason Genji doesn't have more, is because 50% of all his discovered mobility gimmicks get patched quickly :( Rip ledge dash and triple jump
Hearing about practical spots for the curve dash and then immediately showing hanamura kills me, but amazing video all the same! I had no idea about any of these and can't wait to see if they help!
The '' hello '' emote unlocks a memory, I remember I used to do that but I completely forgot about it, so I guess it's nice learning it again hahaha
" its easier to get into the backline "
Me: dashes into backline to confirm a kill
Them: go from 1hp to above 50hp by the time I get there
Also Them: *Zenyatta Kick*
Wow! I didn't know you could do all of those things with Genji! Thanks again! Great work!
I really thought I knew basically all the normal Genji techs, but I had no clue about the curve dash or the others. This is crazy!
I agree
I agree,too
bro curve dashing genuinely hurts my brain I can't believe thats a real thing also you have to include DMGRE (workshop map) in here for practicing nano blading
this is amazing thank you, I couldnt figure out the one recommended in the video
That piano play at the end was pure perfection.
I agree **
bro that last tip 4:19 is actually so true i always play better after watching a montage
These are really good tips! I've played this game a long time and as an ana player, stuff like this is how you tell when yours or an enemies genji is a cut above the others. So well done 👏
bro's thumbnail wasn't exaggerating

this is what i’d do with apex, just watch faide & aceu then i’d be doing shit like them when i played; my friends and i called it fueling up lmao
100% I started Watching Necros & then I started getting 5 Blade Kills and before that I was getting 0 or 1 Blades, 2 if I’m lucky💀
As a new genji player, the "greetings" tech blew my mind lmao
WAIT WTF THE ENDING IS SO COOL
To better visualize curve dashing, think of a short widow grapple that can hook the air. Curve dashing is used all the time to help genji get around corners they peaked around.
bro gets straight to the point. Appreciate the content !
Thanks for the jump tip, I've always jumped on that way when the match was starting but I did not try to do it in that situation
I wasn't expecting much I'll admit but I gotta say the curve dash is pretty cool
its really funny how you mention watching montages as a way to play better cause I feel exactly the same way

that widow deflect at fhe beginning of the vid tho was cleeean
I never thought that saying hello would be an advantageous thing in a fight
I didn’t realise Genji was so tech heavy! - Nice work, keep it up man
bro when i get on tomorrow (its 00:37 for me) im gonna use this shit and ill be an actuall demon, great vid keep it up
As a masters genji who has never recieved any genji tips or help and just played as i seen fit this amazes me and i cant wait to learn these
bro that curve dash is game changing
Could we talk about the piano clip at the end??
if you dash before the last second of your blade ends you get an extra hit on ur dashed target, your blade animation will double going back in but you can wall climb cancel it.
that grav deflect was badass
I tried curve dashing in top 500 and failed and threw the round
Hahaha, it happens 🤣
the piano part was chef kiss
I agree
No one is gonna talk about the ACTUAL BANGER by the end of the video?
you can also cancel animation of hiding blade by dashing in last second
Dam I didnt know any of this. Very good video and well put together
This is an amazing video. The workshop codes are super helpful too!
One of the best Genji guides that i've seen
I agree **
The sound quality could use some improvement, but the outro was top notch content.
huh thats the first time seeing a video that suports 2000k video quality
Damn. Necros and Shadder2K have a new rival. You make him look lore accurate
as a gm genji onetrick I didn t know about the hello voiceline, thats really a game changer
Indeed **
TYSM for the vid i cant wait to implement all this, the curve dash is something I'd never heard of before and im so excited ❤
okay BUT THE GREETINGS TIP IS OP AF
That deflect at the beginning was absolutely disgusting
Awesome vid! Neffex is a great artist. Excellent piano outro😂

Great video again! The last tip has actually impacted my gameplay the most. (I was not paid to say this)
I'd love to use the reverse greeting entry
tnks bro for the tips this video
helps alot
nice video :)
Wow 1.6 mil can I have some subs pls I have money

I love how enemy genjis always play like this but mine seem to not know what a dash is. xD great video. I now know what to look for as a support to avoid these burst damage techniques.
Remember, a mature warrior is not determined by the skill, but mental bearing.
Bro has the demon hunter genji, hes qualified enough
Ok those techs were pretty impressive but the in-game piano playing at the end was a whole other level.
I agree.
When saying hello is a genji tech
i literally wasnt aware curve dash is a thing. thats so good to know. so now i know if a genji can see me, he can most likely dash to me.
That Ana ghost dash practice might be the least amount of fun I've ever had playing overwatch. 15 Ana's with aimbot
I agree **
I loved this character , so I want to play him such as you .
I lost it at the tip where you say hello to decrease the head hitbox
thx a lot ! i got 1000hours on genji but still learn smthg ! keep going !
Because of this new video, we have decided to nerf Genji.
Nobody is going to comment on how he played an amazing song at the end? Now I want to learn that too.

And that's where politness pays off, by saving your head🙃!
(Nice video btw🙂)
Could you please use a pop filter and add a highpass 100hz filter to your vocals so my hifi PA doesn't blow out my eardrums every time you pronounce a consonant? TY for the tips!
Most useful genji guide ever
congrats on 80 twitch followers brother. Great fucking video, amazing tips. Well done
didnt know curve dash existed wtf
I'm on console and can't seem to get down the melee reset, but the curve dash I am definitely going to use for some trolling. Thanks m8
As someone who joined OW as a genii main 5 years ago, there’s no way I can do all these in a real fight. 😭
(I’m plat diamond lol).
Great video! As a support main, I will use this wisely to avoid being killed by genji
how did u play that song on piano tho
I will tray this now
Its work thnx♡
This is why we need to nerf genii yet again
Here I was thinking the curve dash was somthing you do with manual controll, guess I won't be using that quite as often.
Actually some cool tips, I learned something 👍👍 Nice video !! 😊
I have 700 hours on genji and hit gm2 with him but ive never seen the curve dash. Great video!
Indeed **~
I actually figured the curve dash out a few months ago on accident when practicing and I’ve since then been using it a lot. You can even do it over rooftops and stuff that you can diag on doom
create custom game --> import code --> enter "dmgre" --> happy practicing
thanks for the hanamura dash spots cant wait to never use them considering that map isnt in the game
Sorry didn’t understand anything in this video after you got that perfect deflect kill on a flying Widowmaker.
Really good video for real though
Imagine seeing a genji behind the wall and be like
Oh cool genji's there ima run
And he proceeds to defy physics and loop around the wall and 1 shot combo u
Oh boy, I can’t wait to curve dash in Hanamura!
As a support main, watching this made me feel a little better knowing that some Genji players actually know what they‘re doing when attacking you.
Too often they just dash into you and randomly start spamming right click, missing half the magazine and suddenly get the oneshot :c
im so happy you did another one!!
“Practical spots”
*shows Hanamura*
Dear old hanamura, I miss you
Thanks bro Been workin on my genji
Great video. As a support main, that curve dash is absolute BS and needs to be fixed! LOL
Either that or give me a curving sleep dart.
Insane Piano-Genji skills ;)
Indeed
good stuff, thanks for the workshop codes
I didn't even know curve dashing was a thing
Oh god I cannot wait to demolish teams with curved dash. I learned it’s an actual consistent thing you can do back in the beta but I didn’t know the requirements. Thanks for the tips and info bro.
WOW I just want to take a second to admire your work as a genji player haha 😂 That widow reflect at the start was incredible keep it up man ❤
ok and now tell me how I don't fall into a panic when activating his ult and get totally overwhelmed with the time window
Dragonblade already animation cancels melee no need to wallclimb
