That's exactly what I came here to say. I've been looking at lots of videos recently, trying to learn to sew. Many of them make even the simplest things seem difficult. This video makes thinks look not so scary.
Made these for the ladies in my quilt class. They loved them. Made some with and some without interfacing. Most liked without. To each his own! Lol! I loved it both ways. Made extra for me.
Really appreciate this comment because I wanted to make some fast and skipped the interfacing and I LOVE THEM!!! Thanks to you! Thanks Stacey for this great tutorial!!
Hubby said can you whip me up a book mark. I saw this and it's so much nicer than the regular type. Thank you for sharing it. He loved it and so do I 😊
I have a hard time turning items inside out when through small openings ... so I had a random thought and it worked! I sewed the 2 squares on 2 sides only. Doesn't matter which 2, just that they are adjacent. I turned it inside out and on the 2 remaining sides, I attached the triangle piece and sewed it on. I then turned the triangle to the flip side and it was done with the raw edges under the triangle. Next time, I think I'll overlock the raw edges for even cleaner finish.
I love the way you learn people to sew. Its lovely to listen to and you have a very relaxing voice 😁😁 It maket it easy for everyone to follow i think, not to fast, not to slow 😉 I do sew for many years now, never learn it officieel, but do it in my own house style 😂😂 And if it gose wrong i try again.... And again... Its like a puzzle. Love wen i can find the solution 😊 When i see your way of sewing, it is absolutely perfect for my... Because i can learn so much more, especially from the "finishing" of the out line, ect. You have absolutely beautiful and gifted hands. Thank you for the opportunity and sharing of your gift, passion and patience ( that we maby need a lot 😂😂😂) with all of us ❤️ Tink 🤗
Thank you so much Stacey, I really really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful and unique bookmark. It’s cute and adorable and something that anyone would love ❤❤❤❤ to receive. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
How fun - I am just getting back into sewing - it's been a few years! SO...this will be a perfect way to start and perfect little gifts for friends/family. Thank you.
That’s awesome, Donna! 😊 I’m so glad this is a perfect project to get back into sewing with! ❤️ It’ll make such lovely gifts for friends and family. Have fun, and welcome back to sewing! ✂️🎁
This looks like fun. I’m making a back-to-school “kit” w/ a book pouch, tissue wallet, crayon pouch (for markers), all in a folding tote bag. They’ll be in matching fabric of school colors. This is a perfect addition to the kit. Thank you!!! Oops! Forgot that there will also be a chapstick cozy. . . . I just want to be sure she has everything she might need before she knows she needs it.
Fab tutorial, love the way you did this with the overhead angle, it makes it really easy to see exactly what you’re doing. Thank you Stacey & Niels! Xx
Thank you for the do-over. I really appreciate seeing the process more closely in this one. The camera angle is spot on! Love it. Have a great weekend and I hope you all feel better. 🥰
I made 20 of these bookmarks as Christmas gifts for our quilt guild members and they loved them, Stacey! Thank you for sharing this useful project idea. 😊
Love this video! I am teaching my 9 year old granddaughter to sew and I think this is something she is going to enjoy making. I am also an avid reader and may need a couple of these for myself.
I just stumbled across your channel this morning. Love this bookmark! I can see so much potential in personalizing it for someone as well with embroidery or even fabric markers. I just subscribed to your channel. I’ll be scoping it out tonight!
No need for best guess with your 1/4" foot. The 1/4" is where the first notch is. When it reaches the edge of your piece you are confident that is 1/4".
Your instructions is so clear. I can see what you are doing, clearly. And, you don’t hurry. I love your videos.
Thanks so much Gwen, you comment made my day! I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment 😊
@@staceyleecreative well. There we go, we are equal as you made my day too

Hiya would you suggest medium or light interfacing?
I would use medium 🤗
I cannot find this interfacing :( Any other ideas?
Hi, any interfacing will do, it's just to give it a little more structure 😊
Your iron is adorable! Is it a sewing crafts type?
Hey Kristy, yes it is. It's made by Oliso and they make two sizes a mini and a pro size amzn.to/3N7b63U
I Love this because I read a lot.. Do you have a video for the heart shaped coaster?
I am glad you like it Roses. Yes I do have a video for the heart coaster, you'll find it here: th-cam.com/video/gabZtaaorpg/w-d-xo.html
What fabric is the white one that's used underneath?
It's iron on interfacing: amzn.to/3ZnM6ww
I can’t find the template for the level bookmark. I’ll save your page note.
Hi, it's part of my paid pattern here: shrsl.com/4lug3
Can you make these bigger
