Wow exceptional, this car has quite some performance for what one should call a warm hatch. The farts are 😉😉, and it actually moves. This is a great car.
Plus a 7 year warranty pretty good little package for around 32k, might be my next car I think.
Love the cute little upshift puffs it makes, I have 2 years left on my current car loan( clio gt-line) and im seriously considering this as a choice for my next car ( the next clio RS and Peugeot 208 GTI my other considerations).
I really like the new megae rs throphy 300 hp but i quess its more expensive then clio ra and peogeout208 gti

I don't know if there'll be a Clio V RS - only an RS-Line confirmed for now. But you would get an awesome deal on a two year old RS220 by then!

I can't see any gold flakes in mine. If anything it has a silver tinge to it. Regardless, it looks fantastic in the pearl white. Never thought I would ever have a white car but this one looks great with the red and black contrasts. Fell in love with it the moment I saw it in the pearl white.
These cars actual have ALOT of potential. Bigger intakes are proved to net around 10hp, turbo back exhausts 15-25hp. Plus a tune the velosters/elantras/ceratos with these engines consistently make 240+wheel hp.
I've got the older Koup Turbo model, same engine just with a regular 6spd auto not a dct.
I think you could get 260-280 with intake, exhaust and ECU reflash. Bare in mind this has more potential then a Koup Turbo as 7DCT much better and this engine has been revised and fixed since then.
@@jay-uo2bi opposite actually, the dct can take less torque vs the regular auto.
The rods start to bend at the figures you stated :( may defiantly be possible if it's using the current elantra's turbo. It's suspected to be a little bigger as it makes the same rated power at less pressure.

That's really not impressive lol all FI cars are good platforms because of the factory turbo/nuetured tune. The EA888 gen 3 is the gold standard for ridiculous number/potential

Do the 1.6turbo and the 2.0n/a just rev slowly In park and neutral for drivetrain protection? Cause I've notice even the 2.0 revs so slow in park and neutral but once in drive they just go

All cars with auto idle lower in neutral. This is entirely normal. Theres no load on the engine

I wonder how this is head to head with an Holden Astra BK RS. Power output and engine size are very similar. As the astra pushes 280nm of torque and 147kw. Very interesting to see. Cerato has a much better interior and aggressive exterior.
Just for reference Holden Astra RSV 0/100 6.42 sec 147kw/280+ NM P/WT ratio RSV 110.9 v 107.5 on Kia GT just saying astra would leave it in the dust
Lmao 0.5 seconds quicker is "leaving it in the dust" is it? A 0.5 second gap can be closed between driving skills. If a good driver is sitting in the Cerato and a crappy driver in the Astra, guess who is winning?
Kia has cheaper servicing, cheaper parts and a thriving modding community. With a tune and a catback, GTs are getting in the sub-6 ranges. Also, the Astra looks like my grandma. The reliability is like my grandma too. The post sale support is like what they provide for a dying grandma. And it looks like a dying grandma should be in it....

Its the same engine as my wife's Hyundai verloster turbo dual clutch to. Verloster came out with engine first. Vary nice car for the price you pay for compare to a European cars.

Not exactly the same engine. I think this one has a smaller turbo to help with low down response.
@@mysterymeat5528 no they are all the same the only one that is actually physically different is the Veloster (Veloster has a bigger turbo) but the Tuscon and Kona and any SUV with it has less power due to a different tune for the extra weight and shorter gear ratios
@@mysterymeat5528 verloster has same turbo set up for low end torque. It gets 265nm from 1,750rpm to 4,500rpm.

Kia in Australia state only RON 91 in there spec sheets.
I own a 2016 Kia Optima 2.4 in Sydney. Although Kia says it will run on 91, it knocks quite badly on it. So I run 95 Ron and higher. It seems the GDI motors will run on 91 Ron but mine pings under load so I use premium and it's fine.

0-100 in under 7 secs? Wow not bad for a warm hatch and a kia at that. I mean without the "luxury features" considering, it's Not that far off from the latest golf gti at 6.1-6.2 secs. A few mods you'll be in hot hatch territory!

That logic is ridiculous. The Stinger is still a Kia whichever way you look at it. Kia and Hyundai are now the world leaders in automotive vehicles. With the performance ranges from N division and Kia with their own they will dominate the market even further.

Wish my i30 SR had that exhaust note. Don't want that styling at the rear though. Looks like they couldn't decide what to do with it. Just my opinion though.

It looks to be very slow off the mark which often leads higher trap speeds

I have a kia ceed gt which has the same engine and power as this car but with a manual gearbox. I usually get around 152 kph trap speed. This with a DCT should be slightly faster as there are no pauses between gear changes.
Anyone notice the car farts when it changes gear ?

@@jay-uo2bi I bought a brand new Merc a few years ago and it was brilliant. This Kia is fantastic for what comes standard with it and the quality is excellent. My father in law's friends are all car nuts and drive Porsches, Mercs, Audis etc and they are all amazed at the quality of the Kia and value for money.
Let down by a whimpy exhust note...rubbish sound, 4 banger, and FWD. Has zero credibility. Might appeal to teenagers.
