What amazes me about all of this is how good hardware has gotten for niche markets at a price that's not cheap but it's not insane either. It used to be if you wanted something really good for a market like this, it was one small company who sold the stuff at pretentious boutique prices that were 10x what it should have cost. And most of the time it wasn't nearly as good as the people making it pretended it was.
So glad to see you guys diving in Simracing and sharing it with the world 😃 Moza is great indeed and have done amazing job and shake the market with those low prices for good quality gear 💪

Would love to see more about this content. There is loads of content online about the Sim Racing equipment but not so much about the PC specs required to run titles in VR or using triple monitors. Most SIM titles are CPU heavy due to the physics so would be interesting to see where the sweet spot is and where best to use budget when building a SIM racing pc.
nice a proper ac setup using content manager and everything. I learned how to drift on Assetto and now it's a life skill that I can transfer to the real world. Really loving how the racing sim community has blown up.
I got a Moza R9 and GS wheel (the GT-style rim) a few days ago. While the software settings for the hardware might be good, the update process soft bricked the wheel. They recommend pressing the "one click update" when you get new components, which is supposed to upgrade the firmware on each device you might have - e.g. wheel, pedals, wheel base, shifter, and so on. The problem was it started updating the GS wheel rim and the base at the same time, and the base reloaded before the wheel could finish upgrading. This caused the wheel to get stuck in upgrade mode and the fix was to enable some advanced settings and completely erase the firmware of the wheel, before upgrading again. A butt clenching process for sure. Needless to say, not the kind of experience you want to have with a near $700 AUD wheel out of the box before I'd even had a chance to use it. Everything else about using the R9, GS rim, and CRP pedals has been fantastic. I would actually recommend people get the GS rim over the formula style rim, as the display on the FSR rim only works through the pit house software, and does not support third-party telemetry apps like SimHub. Just my two cents, hope it helps someone :-)
@@vsm1456 No problem, if you or anyone else ever ends up needing it, it's settings > recovery and reset > erase firmware, and then go to update > check the normal erase box and then hit force erase, then update the device.
I hope you guys make updated videos on this at least once a month . Myab even chalalnge other tech tubers like the LTT team. I know Jake is a huge sim racing fan as well.
I started watching JTC back in 2017 when I decided to get back into sim racing and needed to be updated about PC parts and how to make a good build. Now it looks like Jay is back into sim racing and racing on the same base and wheel I recently purchased. I'm loving my R9 and GS wheel in VR on iRacing. My old setup was a Fanatec CSW V2.5 with the Formula V2 wheel. It was a great setup, but this wheel has really helped with feeling for slides and being to react quicker before letting the car get sideways. The only thing I can see being better is quieter shifters. These shifters feel really good but they are pretty loud. Moza includes rubber pads to dampen the sound, but the shifters don't feel as "crisp" with them installed and the shifters have a little difficulty registering shifts and calibrating in the software, when these are installed, so I took them off. If Moza could dampen the sound reverberation inside the wheel with foam or something, I think this could help. It's a great setup though.
Hey Jay! I've been following rtfm and watch your vids pretty regularly... I'm also a fitness junkie. I'm overjoyed to see results from your training! Keep it up, it's a life-long pursuit to be the best version of ourselves that we can be 💪💪

Jay, when you mount your Estop button, mount it somewhere you can hit it with your knee. You don't want to get into a situation where you need to hit it, but the hand you need is the one having issues...
I've been sim racing since 1996 with the original NASCAR Racing, and online since the early Papyrus online BETA called "Hawaii". Back then we changed ISPs to get the best dial in connection with the lowest pings, and paid long distance rates to do it. I remember my first wheel, my first 3D card (Diamond Stealth Rendition card), my first set of pedals, etc. I moved from triple screens to VR several years ago, and I don't think I would enjoy going back. VR just has such a high immersion level for sim racing IMHO. My eyes are not as great as they once were, especially since I broke the big 5-0 mark a couple of years ago. I'm using the HP Reverb G2 currently, but I thought I was going to have to go back to monitors due to my eye straining. However, VR Optician prescription lenses were a game changer. I now have my eyes, no pun intended, on a Varjo Aero headset. I think a good set of pedals is probably the best upgrade you can make for sim racing. I currently use a set of HPP 3-Pedal PRX-SE which I'm still happy with, but have been thinking about upgrading. I wouldn't mind trying Simucube's ActivePedal, but that's a pretty salty price point for a pedal (singular). I'm a proud member of the iRacing 100% content owned club.
Fanatic has been completely overshadowed in the mid range sim gear of late. I can't even buy Fanatec in my country without heavy import fees making it cost more than Moza. I went for Simagic, the build quality is incredible and after a year of use not a single issue and very happy with it. I want the new moza H pattern shifter, it looks so good.
I got Moza gear for my sim setup and it has been great, the software is really easy to use. For anyone wanting a direct-drive setup on a budget, I'd highly recommend getting it with the Next Level Racing Wheelstand 2.0.
A REALLY fun car for that track (and I mean REALLLY FUN) is the Lotus 2-Eleven. It IS a six speed stick but you can map to paddles to shift till you get an actual shifter. Or go large and try the 3-Eleven but don't say I didn't warn you - that thing is stupid fast and doesn't offer slicks (just Trofeo's). You WILL get overconfident and eat some barrier, lol.

Look at this awesome screen on the wheel which you will never see as you play in VR. Nonetheless awesome setup. Hopefully one day I will get my hands on DD as well.
Coming from the Fanatec camp, I agree with the gui and driver software being a bit finicky... But I am glad just about all tuning can be adjusted directly through the wheel.

Can we just say kudos to nick for being an actual good sport about it? When my friends did that to me I came in with pans and slime on their turn lol
One reason why it's tough memorizing Laguna Seca in games: they don't all have the track exactly the same way.I mean if it was 2D then yeah, but since it's in 3D, it isn't. This is true for all real life tracks in games but Laguna Seca's elevation changes or how you perceive them when looking at it in each game just freaking looks different. You can go from one game thinking you have it down pat then shift to another game and the elevation changes around the corkscrew is different - the approach is steeper, the approach to the curve feels shorter* aaaaaaaaaand you just hit the tire wall. *going up and having less speed isn't how people think that works when the game simulates aerodynamics ie if it's steeper you tend to get more front end lift
Jayz: "We're gonna find who's the fastest out of us three". Nick and Phil: "Well, Jennifer...". Good thing Jayz didn't bet changing his name nor that the others could explode his house.
This is cool finally some more sim racing gear, I love sim racing its a great way to learn about setups, plus in the middle of the night you can go for a race, about the Fanatec software I have nothing, well nice to say about it, firmware updates are a problem, but in general the gear is robust as, only have killed one load cell, VR on sin is the best and it is funny you start to notice that you move the head around looking, mirrors, turn in points, maybe a video on other sim titles and the pros and cons, my current favorite is rFactor 2, with the V8 supercars and Aussie tracks. great fun Nice to hear the PSA about feedback control, got a guy at work looking to get into sim racing, I said around the 8 - 12Nm, personally I run my clubsport wheel base flat out and normally the fan runs flat out in it yo can hear it over the computer and video cards fans and all of them are normally at 100% Maybe a top down or build guide for the PC for simracers or people wanting to get into it Funny watching you guys having fun and a laugh. Have fun and stay safe...
Holy crap. I literally just tested that out at Micro Center last week! Lol! As an arcade racer, I hate wheels with feedback because I always feel like I broke the wheel when it goes "limp" on me. I just want a smooth wheel. Lol. But it was really dope using it with the three screens they had set up.
I love how cheap direct drive wheels are getting for everyone. I had an accuforce v2 for years and recently upgraded to a Simagic Alpha Ultimate. They are a huge upgrade over belt drive wheels of the past including the clubsport wheel. The alpha is strong enough to dislocate your shoulder 😂
I have a ultimate sim rig with a fanatec DD2 and a 2020 F1 limited edition steering wheel and i race it daily. Sim racing is more addictive then druqs!! Go fast, go hard and have fun while doing it❤
One of my favorite mods is a Time Attack Miata in a 300hp setup and a 900hp setup. Both H-pattern. The 300 tune would be perfect for a "reasonably priced car" challenge. Using something with OEM street tires honestly just sucks when everything else you dabble with is on performance or slick rubber.
The John Wick coins are pretty damned awesome! I just think it's also hilarious that the Assassins Creed logo is on them; of course, there's a lot of similarities between John Wick and Assassins Creed
We used to do nights of Drunk Forza. Same car and track for everyone. Run a time sober. Then we'd drink and check BAC with a meter and document the changes. We'd usually get better with a slight buzz and then get far worse as we went. Y'all should do that on a RTFM sometime.

Yes! Brining back the Celebrity Lap thing from Top Gear!
What a dream setup with a few f1 buddies for an afternoon
Awesome ! The QuestPro is my favorite headset; looking good
One reason why it's tough memorizing Laguna Seca in games: they don't all have the track exactly the same way.I mean if it was 2D then yeah, but since it's in 3D, it isn't.
Make this a segment of RTFM or maybe do a weekly on jayztwocars! I’d love to see this keep going
Jayz: "We're gonna find who's the fastest out of us three".
Nick and Phil: "Well, Jennifer...".
Good thing Jayz didn't bet changing his name nor that the others could explode his house.
Whoa would love to see a grand tour x jayztwocents collab especially with virtual farming!!
Great video, more please. Multiple rigs for LAN races, will make you the envy of the community, nay the world most likely!
That was funny "Phil, can I have lunch please?" "No" without missing a beat
more please, this is so fun to watch
Phil just starts heckling himself to keep Jay from heckling more. Smart move Phil lol
I have a MOZA DD wheel its absolutely night and day compared to by belt driven Thrustmaster TS PC racer and that was decent wheel for what it was
This is cool finally some more sim racing gear, I love sim racing its a great way to learn about setups, plus in the middle of the night you can go for a race, about the Fanatec software I have nothing, well nice to say about it, firmware updates are a problem, but in general the gear is robust as, only have killed one load cell, VR on sin is the best and it is funny you start to notice that you move the head around looking, mirrors, turn in points, maybe a video on other sim titles and the pros and cons, my current favorite is rFactor 2, with the V8 supercars and Aussie tracks. great fun
Nice to hear the PSA about feedback control, got a guy at work looking to get into sim racing, I said around the 8 - 12Nm, personally I run my clubsport wheel base flat out and normally the fan runs flat out in it yo can hear it over the computer and video cards fans and all of them are normally at 100%
Maybe a top down or build guide for the PC for simracers or people wanting to get into it
Funny watching you guys having fun and a laugh.
Have fun and stay safe...
guys honestly that was amazing to watch. PLEASE keep this going!!! I could be in that room roaring laughing, my type of people!
Holy crap. I literally just tested that out at Micro Center last week! Lol! As an arcade racer, I hate wheels with feedback because I always feel like I broke the wheel when it goes "limp" on me. I just want a smooth wheel. Lol. But it was really dope using it with the three screens they had set up.
YAY!! Driving is back on the channel!
Congratulation Nick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jay was so nervous he had to heckle cause he knew how good you were xD
put your e-stop where you can hit it with your feet. being by your hands won't help you if your hands are caught in the wheel
Go fast, go hard and have fun while doing it❤
Nic's having a good time with the race and Jay's asmr
I just built mine. Waiting on my wheel and pedals to arrive impatiently. I ended up going with the TR80. Took a day to put together lol
The Honda Fit..... Better known as the Honda Jazz in the UK and Europe. Cannot wait to see those lap times 😁
One of my favorite mods is a Time Attack Miata in a 300hp setup and a 900hp setup. Both H-pattern. The 300 tune would be perfect for a "reasonably priced car" challenge. Using something with OEM street tires honestly just sucks when everything else you dabble with is on performance or slick rubber.
the last 5 seconds is the best part 👍🏻
The John Wick coins are pretty damned awesome! I just think it's also hilarious that the Assassins Creed logo is on them; of course, there's a lot of similarities between John Wick and Assassins Creed
More racing vids please with different driving games. This was so entertaining!!!
"can you feel me breathing on you..." LMAO you're evil Jay!
We used to do nights of Drunk Forza. Same car and track for everyone. Run a time sober. Then we'd drink and check BAC with a meter and document the changes. We'd usually get better with a slight buzz and then get far worse as we went. Y'all should do that on a RTFM sometime.
Some sim racing stuff. Nice. Moza is very good entry level piece of kit
Definitely would like more sim racing videos like this.
this was cool to see, love the sim rig!
im currently patiently waiting for your merch store to restock your JTC gaming mats, mine has seen better days.
i love your videos Jay & the team!
Imagine being a team manager and during the middle of a race hearing your driver say "Jesus take the wheel" 😂😂😂
Funny thing jay I got into sim Racing because of your fanatec Rig a few years back. Now I got a motion rig with VR. I have a vid of it on my little channel. But its my main hobby besides PC building. Moza has some really nice stuff.
Well I got that wrong. Nick’s clearly the goat 🐐. Jay and Phil you need some tuition.
mmm those gear changes sound so good, i can almost feel them through the screen
I got the R9 V2 + CS V2 + SRP Pedals from them recently and have been loving it!
Could get a TH-cam Live stream channel called TwoCentsBoyz that is the 3 of you sim racing with a go-pro helmet cam. TH-cam and society needs this.😆
We need a Micro Center in Maine PLEASE!!!!
Loved watching you guys race haha, could actually feel the frustration building with jay being up in Nics face Hahah😂
I definitely watch this on a third channel after hours, not worrying about sponsors Jays two after hours
2:15 CPR racing. Nice. 🚑 😎
we used to do kei trucks racing down a touge course. You get a group of 3/4 doing those runs and it is a blast.
