Normally I agree with you, but just because GSM's prices on Cold Steel knives are stupid high these days doesn't mean that the AD10 Lite isn't really a $40 knife to begin with. It's Aus-10A and GFN. It's a $40 knife that you may be able to stretch to $60 as it's a tough design with a great lock. Beyond that, it was overpriced when it was released and remains so. $40 is putting it where it belonged since launch. I have been a Cold Steel fan since the late 80s and stopped buying them once GSM took over.
