Yes circular breathing but like Does your brain have the power to breathe in through your nose while breathing out of your mouth while reading a piece like this and fingering all the notes? Not hating I’m just saying we’d have to use 1000000% percent of our brain
@@corgiparti5817 well couldn't you say the same thing with violin. You need to bow properly, press exactly down to the millimeter in the right places, left hand pizz, and more.
@@CamiloR.. yes, the way you play the clarinet is using your mouth, majority of clarinet problems for people is generally their mouth and obviously the fingerings.
I've arranged this for Clarinet for my own personal study. I've got rid of the unnecessary extreme 'high shreaky ' notes and have included a few of the Clarinet's lowest ones (low F and E naturals) making it a more truer Clarinet solo piece. Also there are no 'gimmickry' muti-tones either.
That's the trouble with arranging these milestone sort of pieces, they're designed for a certain instrument and the playability of that instrument. It's like having a violinist play a piece with some unfriendly placed arpeggios making you jump back and forth to match the sound. Possible, but not the most practical
There’s a better version of this professionally arranged for clarinet in clarinet institute of Los Angeles’ website that I would recommend to anyone looking to play this as it adds slurs and stuff to make it possible but also adds things to make it harder and faster.
@@ferniplayz7177 oh no it seems like they took it off their website. i know for a fact i played it a lot 2 years ago when i posted this but they must’ve taken it off of the free section
Two notes at the same time is genuinely possible on clarinet it’s just extremely hard. Eugh,,, not so much four though unless you’re actually the clarinet GOD
As this is originally a Violin study piece , where did the low F# come from in measure 140. The lowest note on a Violin is the 'open' G natural string.
Basil Brush the full arpeggio run on the violin piece is not possible to play on the clarinet because it goes higher than the constraints of the clarinet allow. So, I omitted some notes and started the run from low F# to make the run playable
As an Alto Sax player, knowing that the clarinet is in a lower range than us, I can't imagine how high those notes are. Like some of those notes are in the Alto Saxophone's altissimo range. Another thing, if you can't circular breathe, then it's literally impossible to play this unless you can play without breathing for long periods of time and gather a lot of air on an eight note rest.
Me: Whoever can play this is a god incarnate and no one can convince me otherwise. Also me, a clarinetist: Okay, but I wanna try this, someone hold my beer
The variations after var. 5 & 6 got me completely at this point. I actually succeded to play the first 3 variations of this piece on my clarinet a year ago but it took me so many nerves omg.
Clarinet can technically go just over five ledger lines above the staff (C) but most composers and arrangers have a right enough mind to stop at the 4th ledger line (G).
fun fact for the clarinetists here (may not work with bass clarinet) but high e flat, the one that's one step above the six-finger d counting the thumb and key above that, actually sounds like a car alarm. this is useful in the parking lot after finishing your halftime show in band.
Band director: Okay One of the clarinets come and play this. Clarinet player: Okay. Band director: **shows sheet music** clarinet player: Okay I got this. **Just f*ckin screams**
Hi. To clarify on comments on the technical performance. This was apparently with DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Software using digitally sample clarinet samples entered either by a MIDI keyboard or manually entered in the sequencer. In this case musescore. Software is capable of a more nuanced performance (i.e., dynamics, articulation, tempi, etc.).
KG people have played this this is just a way to get an arrangement out to the world, it’s not supposed to be a piece for listening in this form, but you could play it then it would be.

Jack Wernet exactly what did we do
IKR
Luna Lovegood we just hated on for being fabulous
Jack Wernet I think he want us dead
The person who made this is probably a trumpet player
It sounds fantastic, but from experience from playing the clarinet - you would inherently need a god to play this.
Paganini was a God was he not? Time to find one for clarinet....

I feel the same, it doesn't look to bad at first. Then you look at the tempo. I could do it at about 60bpm. But not this fast
Now, if I learned how to not breathe in almost 4 mins, I would play this.
Even if you did you couldn't sustain enough air to play lol
