    I've arranged this for Clarinet for my own personal study. I've got rid of the unnecessary extreme 'high shreaky ' notes and have included a few of the Clarinet's lowest ones (low F and E naturals) making it a more truer Clarinet solo piece. Also there are no 'gimmickry' muti-tones either.

    • @LowReedExpert1
      @LowReedExpert1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's the trouble with arranging these milestone sort of pieces, they're designed for a certain instrument and the playability of that instrument. It's like having a violinist play a piece with some unfriendly placed arpeggios making you jump back and forth to match the sound. Possible, but not the most practical

    As this is originally a Violin study piece , where did the low F# come from in measure 140.
    The lowest note on a Violin is the 'open' G natural string.

    • @milansolomaeoin6977
      @milansolomaeoin6977  6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Basil Brush the full arpeggio run on the violin piece is not possible to play on the clarinet because it goes higher than the constraints of the clarinet allow. So, I omitted some notes and started the run from low F# to make the run playable

    As an Alto Sax player, knowing that the clarinet is in a lower range than us, I can't imagine how high those notes are. Like some of those notes are in the Alto Saxophone's altissimo range. Another thing, if you can't circular breathe, then it's literally impossible to play this unless you can play without breathing for long periods of time and gather a lot of air on an eight note rest.

    fun fact for the clarinetists here (may not work with bass clarinet) but high e flat, the one that's one step above the six-finger d counting the thumb and key above that, actually sounds like a car alarm. this is useful in the parking lot after finishing your halftime show in band.

    Hi. To clarify on comments on the technical performance. This was apparently with DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Software using digitally sample clarinet samples entered either by a MIDI keyboard or manually entered in the sequencer. In this case musescore. Software is capable of a more nuanced performance (i.e., dynamics, articulation, tempi, etc.).

      KG people have played this this is just a way to get an arrangement out to the world, it’s not supposed to be a piece for listening in this form, but you could play it then it would be.

    • @trenchiano
      @trenchiano 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It is just an F natural. E# is written somewhat commonly when the key signature is written with F# rather than writing F natural.

    • @rafeverao4105
