Yes circular breathing but like Does your brain have the power to breathe in through your nose while breathing out of your mouth while reading a piece like this and fingering all the notes? Not hating I’m just saying we’d have to use 1000000% percent of our brain

@@pizzaboi8196 Sorry to say, the clarinet can technically go that high. Bar 65 shows a Cb and the absolute highest note on clarinet is C. Luckily flutes exist so the highest we're normally asked to go is the G in bar 71/bar 80, but that note it technically possible; just not practical.
On musescore, green note means it is hard for amateurs but pros can do-it's described in that way (so it's possible) while red note means it's impossible.
I've arranged this for Clarinet for my own personal study. I've got rid of the unnecessary extreme 'high shreaky ' notes and have included a few of the Clarinet's lowest ones (low F and E naturals) making it a more truer Clarinet solo piece. Also there are no 'gimmickry' muti-tones either.
That's the trouble with arranging these milestone sort of pieces, they're designed for a certain instrument and the playability of that instrument. It's like having a violinist play a piece with some unfriendly placed arpeggios making you jump back and forth to match the sound. Possible, but not the most practical
There’s a better version of this professionally arranged for clarinet in clarinet institute of Los Angeles’ website that I would recommend to anyone looking to play this as it adds slurs and stuff to make it possible but also adds things to make it harder and faster.

As this is originally a Violin study piece , where did the low F# come from in measure 140. The lowest note on a Violin is the 'open' G natural string.
Basil Brush the full arpeggio run on the violin piece is not possible to play on the clarinet because it goes higher than the constraints of the clarinet allow. So, I omitted some notes and started the run from low F# to make the run playable

As an Alto Sax player, knowing that the clarinet is in a lower range than us, I can't imagine how high those notes are. Like some of those notes are in the Alto Saxophone's altissimo range. Another thing, if you can't circular breathe, then it's literally impossible to play this unless you can play without breathing for long periods of time and gather a lot of air on an eight note rest.

This was apparently with DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Software using digitally sample clarinet samples entered either by a MIDI keyboard or manually entered in the sequencer. In this case musescore. Software is capable of a more nuanced performance (i.e., dynamics, articulation, tempi, etc.).
Band director: Okay One of the clarinets come and play this. Clarinet player: Okay. Band director: **shows sheet music** clarinet player: Okay I got this. **Just f*ckin screams**
I may be too late but does anyone know if clarinets that a pro would use have any extra register keys or any modifications that standard clarinets do not that would allow for some of the extreme register deviation.
KG people have played this this is just a way to get an arrangement out to the world, it’s not supposed to be a piece for listening in this form, but you could play it then it would be.
fun fact for the clarinetists here (may not work with bass clarinet) but high e flat, the one that's one step above the six-finger d counting the thumb and key above that, actually sounds like a car alarm. this is useful in the parking lot after finishing your halftime show in band.
Hi, just some suggestions I was writing before seeing that B maj chord at the end and gave up: use scale's alterations, for example the Bb in 2^ bar should be A#, also some notes seem just wrong, for example the A in 74 which should be is A# or D (D#) in 77; in 98 you don't need that G#, that's a bichord (there actually is a pretty easy position to play that but I don't think you wanted that); in 117 should be F E D C instead of E D C B
