His dad was my teacher for seven consecutive years. Looking back, learning the clarinet at this level was one of the most challenging disciplines I've ever gone through. The general public often has no idea about the insane number of hours these musicians put into their craft. Mad respect for him and my condolences for the loss of his dad
Unbelievable. Every day I'm finding someone on TH-cam who can do things I didn't think could be done on the clarinet. Who are the 4 people who don't like this?

Wow wow wow! 0:35 THIS type of careful and even controlled "rolling-rounded-individualistic-charcuterie-audible-color" playing with such clear consistency of the entire piece is quite remarkable! I don't think you can even say all virtuosoists are able to include that (of this range of resolution of course) with their expected skills. That is some dedication of easily years and years to get the fingers, keys, mental focus, and motor skills to all line up like it's 2012 with our planets all lined up! I guess I can say "Damnnnn, this is out of this world!!!" 👽🎶
pniiice that's what makes this soooo goddamn impressive. Most pro players of that caliber do use extremely minimal motions, but he's soo good at what he does that it doesn't matter, he's beyond the point where base techniques matter
His fingers do raise pretty high but not high enough that it actually affect his technique, in fact allowing your fingers to lift a little can help you get through runs more cleanly
I think that probably helps with the notes being able to come out more clearly but it is really impressive to be able to move that fast and have your fingers go that high
This is so impressive! I wondered how this caprice for violin would translate on the clarinet, and this performance has given me a fresh outlook on the piece! Really cool.

if you at highschool u play this then well, you prob should just be a clarinetist when you grow up
If you play it on a violin youll be a king

Probably the ones that got kicked out of their first clarinet lesson for the lack of any talent.
Those people who could see the most passionate performance a musician has ever done and accuse them of showing off

This is absolutely phenomenal!!! What amazes me is that so few people are able to appreciate this wonderful performance.
excuse me, but this is way better with the clarinet!! thank you Mr. Amaury for this exceptional performance!!

People who don't like European sound probably. Or just the interpretation

How does someone even tongue that fast
Years of practicing preferably single
The speed isn't that fast really for double tongue. It's the intervals that makes it super impressive

arduino finger...... i think you the same sense like a.markov (caprice 5), and vengerov (ernst last summer of rose (especially at 0:09))
Why do most clarinetists close their eyes when playing!?
Why do brass players leave their spit in the chairs? Why do guitar players make faces when playing? You'll understand once you have more experience.
