He plays this difficult Caprice with such ease, enjoyment, and joy! It astounds me! I've heard other violinists play this and I'm always a little on edge and nervous they're going to make a mistake (which they never seem to) but, with David, I was completely relaxed and just enjoyed it!

We should also give some respect to the conductor, because being a skillful conductor, which allows them to control the entire orchestra to play in unity isn’t easy.
@@cosnzaid3636 That's a poor excuse. By the time they're performing, they should know everything the orchestra's about to do. I find professional concert band conductors much more compelling, and more professional looking.

It mainly comes down to preference. It does look odd that the conductor is not on beat from an audience point of view. But that's how it is most of the time.

I don't get how the crowd just sits there and claps casually after this marvelous performance. This deserved a standing ovation for at least a good minute lol maybe even an award.
The violin is man's true companion for many reasons. 1. Both violin and man are hard to understand. 2. Both know each other's minds once knowing each other. 3. Maybe you know now, but he did play Paganini in The Devil’s Violinist” 2015. Wasn’t a very historically accurate movie, but was interesting and, of course, was great to see an actual violinist play the part.

He was an average conductor. The orchestra was always half a beat behind the downbeat of his baton.

А перед смертью завещал легендарный инструмент музею родного города - Генуи. Она и по сей день находится там. Когда выдающийся скрипач посещает этот музей, ему предоставляют возможность поиграть на скрипке Паганини. Кажется, Дэвид делал это. Но, признается, что Страдивари ему ближе. Вот они, гении, какие...
