@@RyomenAyeni225 It looks too random for me, looking like he is actually dancing or something lol The smoothness in animation is what makes it shine!!!
I find it funny how there are certain fighting game characters that I don’t start playing as until I find something about them that makes me like them. Now I want to play Robert in KOF XV because of this video.
I think it says a lot about the creator of AoF/ street fighter where he made the Ken be just as important as the ryu when going to snk, when in street fighter ken realistically should have been dropped decades ago but he’s more popular than ryu with casuals so that’s the only reason he’s relevant.
That's honestly a really cool part of it, and its rare you see the 'rich sidekick' type be the central focus of a story. It feels very refreshing coming from the same old Ryu stories while Ken just dicks around on the sidelines. Wish more games gave spotlight to that character archetype.
Your theory of history is very well told; I think it's one of the best. As a curious fact, I want to tell you that the Spanish translation is one of the worst-it's half in Spanish and half in Portuguese or both mixed at times. At the end, Robert tells Yuri, "Why go to Italy with you when we can go to Miami instead?" and she responds, "Is it because you want to see me in a swimsuit?" Robert answers, "Or maybe even a little more." There's no doubt that it's the strangest story in all of SNK.
Art of fighting not being great... Oh my... Art of fighting was huge on my country and transform the fighting games forever with the introduction of Super moves (desperate moves) and the game also become part of our pop culture. 🤨
Actually, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting would be good as movie adaptations. KOF on the other hand would be good as a series because of all the characters to explore.
There is an Art of Fighting anime OVA. It's fucking terrible. The two Fatal Fury OVA's and movie are quite good though, roughly on Street Fighter II the animated movie's level.
I saw this game the other day and I think it's the first AOF game that I actually wanted to play. Didn't get into 1 or 2 so I wrote off 3. It's pretty good.
AOF3 was GREAT i loved this game, i loved how it was unique and distinctive from other fighting games, the gameplay was awesome, graphically was stuning, and i do think it does have some good tracks (not all of them , but some are quite good) this game was soooooooooooo deserving more attention.
Hey man I just own the game Neo Geo CD and I never understood this freaking game. A lot of is that I think it was unfinished like the game is actually unfinished.
Everything I'd ever heard about this game was that it was utter shit and you shouldn’t bother, but i feel like after watching yours and GuileWinQuote's videos on it, people just misunderstood it.
You know I just realized, There’s a plot hole in Kasumi’s Story. Kasumi is looking for Ryo because he beat her dad’s ass so badly he ran away to train, marking the second man who’s done that. The question is, why she is glasshill looking for him? Ryo and ryuhaku lived in Southtown and that’s where the fight happened. You can’t even say that she just went there on a coincidence since she’s constantly looking for him in her story. So, did she just fuck up completely and went in the complete wrong direction?
robert's AOF3 sprite has the best idle animation in anything ever
im honestly not a fan of it to me he looks like an enraged drunk ready to fight

To think that Robert would be that good as a character blew my mind. Good analysis on Robert overall!
14:30 Even AoF Yuri knows this Wyler guy was a bitch and only need a single Koouken to take him off.
It was a welcome surprise when I found out that an AOF3 track got remixed for KOF 15!!

The invincible dragon and raging tiger are back to fighting again
I thought i was the only one thinking about Mario Kart hearing these themes lol
hahaha

"Rich sidekick?" I'm SF, I'm the Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon and Raphael from TMNT of Capcom!
Sean from SFIII is the sidekick.
Wouldn’t really say Robert was just as important since he only had one game where he played a significant part.
@@fightingmedialounge519 he canonically beat mr big. So no he didn’t. Ryo had 2, Robert had 3, together they had 1.
@@Neogears1312 where are you getting the idea he beat Mr big?

Kicking ass AND stacking paper! 🤣
Art of Fighting 2 looked absolutely next-gen back in the day, i had to go to the neighbor town just to play Neo-Geo machine with it.

Man look at the still for 10:18 and tell me Yuri don't got it, that aside this is a great vid and thanks for bring us back to AoF.
Man AoF 3 art looks so crisp, so smooth.
Honestly after this video, all I can do is agree and repeat your sentiment. Rock the *fuck* on, Robert Garcia.
Robert has always been my favorite shoto in fighting games.
12:57 finally we have someone to speak up for all of us obscure 90s arcade fans, national hero
Geese: "RUB HIM OFF, BILLY!
QUICKLY! WHILE HE'S DOWN!"
Shit that ending theme is a bop
Be nice if they made a Anime Series if AOF 1,2,3

I LOVE Art of Fighting. I owned the very first one on SNES back in 1992. 😵💫God, that was 30 years ago. I'm getting old.
Glad I'm not the only confused by AoF3 conceptual details between Robert, Ryo, Freia and Wyler

YOU ARE A BLOODY HERO! Thanks for doing this, I am so glad a fellow Brit is doing content on my fave game series.
Laughing out loud at work listening to some fighting game videos. This video rules.
I'm glad people can still enjoy these old ones lol!
4:05 Funny thing you say this, new titles for Art of Fighting and Samsho are confirmed to be in development more recently
18:10 was the best speech ever accompanied with the great ending song afterwards
Great one
you do a great service with these vids
Have this on neo geo cd and ps2 compilation. Special move on the characters birthday will win the round
The Neo Geo CD version has the full dialogues reminiscent of earlier AOF games.

I mean aof2 soy sauce for geese is my favorite version tbh there’s is like a slow 40 second start up but it’s worth it imo

Lol! The background sign 3:09 It's supposed to say "Amboy" and "Needles". How clever to modify the name of them towns.

did you found it?
The English translation for this game is pretty bad
Except this game probably came out first.
Great music coda you chose!!!! 😍 😍 😍
I mean, the AOF ending music, not the one similar to Mario Kart. 😒
Why is half the video not in focus?
