I first met Greg at Prezcon 2012 in Charlottesville. He taught us The Hunters and we ran a small tourney, lots of fun. Super guy and he was generous with his time- we talked design over breakfast one morning. I remember him saying he didn't really get started in game design until after he retired, love his work and always looking forward to what he is up to now. Thanks for the peek and yes Grant, I agree, German armor w/o the Sturmgeschutz line would be a travesty! I need to get up to WBC soon.
Man, I love his games. They are so good. I have 6 of his games and the only reason I don't buy more is that I am running out of room. I love tank games and will get Panzer Ace. Thanks for getting him to add the StuG. Love the players aid too. Keep up the good work.
Love Gregs games and he seems like a super nice and approachable guy. Hope to get to meet him someday, maybe get my western front ace Autographed, lol.
First war game I can remember playing was Gladiators using a Chess board as an Arena and chunks of Donald Featherstone's Rules for very basic combat. Getting figures was easy enough. Painting them mostly shades of pink, Leather straps and metal with flocked sand bases was probably where the fun was. Moved on as there were better rules available for other periods offering massed Battles and more "Power". Best things about it were you could play in minutes it was colourful, didn't take up much space, and it created a link with history. Crikey that was the early seventies!
