Dope. I think you could've gotten away with another -.7 camber for both fronts and rears. Nice run man! Among other things, I'm also running SPL RLCAs and HKS Spec L2!
Great run, sir, deep respect! About the oil pressure level: it's REALLY good news the fact that 1q of overfill quite solves the issue, without the need to install aftermarket pieces! If I can ask, how do you measure such an overfill? I still don't really understand when the oil level is at its "max", because the two sides of the dipstick always show different readings: when one side is at the max, the other side is usually below; what side is the "right" reading, the one with the higher or the one with the lower mark?...
I wouldn't say its solved, it's just mitigated. Usually I fill until the dipstick reads the top dot, then add X amount on top. You always take the reading of the lower side of the dipstick.
What setup are you using to record your CAN data to input into Race Render? I see a Racebox Mini on the dash but curious if you’re using an iPhone or Android phone, what OBD adapter you’re using, and which app you’re using to collect the data (Track Addict? RaceChrono?)
using an android phone with RaceChrono. I'm using a custom board built by @nostreetracing86 that plugs into the ASC module to collect CAN data. that board + my racebox mini both connect to RaceChrono via bluetooth
yes but usually after the track event, it will be slightly lower than the 1L overfill since I burn some on track. it doesn't see a ton of daily miles anymore, but maybe 100 miles per week on street with the overfill
You are flying!! So cool to see you improving!
Thanks!! Hope to see you out on track again soon!
Great run, love the oil pressures levels too. Encouraging to push my car more. Subscribed for sure!
Nice run!

I'm going to run -3.0/-2.2 this season, exactly what you mentioned 🤣
I also love the hks l2, great tone and quiet

@@studiousGR86 Thank you very much for the answer! Just mitigated, uh? So, what's your advice on this issue?...
Good driving. Your car needs a few more mods. You can still improve your lap time.
very nice!
Are you running any "right turn oil pressure drop" counter measures (buffle, overfill, accusump)?
seems like he is, he is maintaining upwards of 60 PSI in right hand turns
I am running a 1L overfill, nothing else. I'm not really interested in installing a baffle or accusump until I see that it is necessary
@@studiousGR86 I think you solved the issue with the 1L over fill.
@@studiousGR86 Do you keep the extra oil and off track or you remove it after the track event?
@@BenjiDubss at my pace, at sonoma/Laguna I think it is sufficient. Haven't tested at thunderhill but I suspect I will see drops T5W, T8W, T5E

are you overfilling your oil at all? oil pressures look solid
edit: just saw ur other vids at you are, you daily your car with the same 1L overfill?
yes but usually after the track event, it will be slightly lower than the 1L overfill since I burn some on track. it doesn't see a ton of daily miles anymore, but maybe 100 miles per week on street with the overfill
Fantastic! What grade of oil do you use?
5w50?
Using 5w30 for now, I may consider switching to 0w40 in the summer
Awesome. Nice lap. Just subbed.
Do you compete in the 86 Cup?
Thanks for the sub! I will likely compete in the NorCal 86 drive challenge next season!
@@studiousGR86 awesome. I'll be in the So Cal 86 Cup. We might cross paths at some of the overlap events like Sonoma etc.
Did you fix the oil.pressure drop? Or is your car a 2023 with the factor oil pressure fix?
there's no factory fix. i mitigate the issue with a 1L overfill, and it hasn't seemed to be a problem at Sonoma or Laguna for me.
Yooo, did you drop the pan and redo the RTV? Or nah?
I had CM Autohaus do it for me at around 5k miles (currently at 27k miles). there was not a lot of RTV in the strainer.
@studiousGR86 Thank you! I'm trying to get mine done by him too!
that pressure graph makes me nervous...
Which sim is this? I've been looking for a GR86 on Assetto Corsa, but it only has right hand drive version last time I checked
Also interested, this sim footage looks great! What graphics card are you using?
This is not sim.
Stage 3?
Oil spec?
Using 5w30 kirkland oil
