What I wanna know is how you downshift. I want a GR86 myself so I want to know. Do you need to lift the clutch slowly to get the bite point while downshifting? How do you know which RPM to blip the throttle to? How do you skip gears?
@@MiracleX19 bought an 86 for my first stick and put around 6k miles on it. It's trial and error. you'll feel after a few times downshifting what the perfect rev is for the mph. It all depends what your speed is. I can shift from 3rd to 2nd at 30mph and blip it to like around 4-4500 and the car won't jolt. And yea, for a beginner (no one will rly tell u this) you can hold the clutch at the biting point for like half a second to make sure ur doing it right. once you know where the biting point is, no need to lift it slowly. if you do it right, you can let it out to the biting point quickly for faster downshifts. just don't go over the biting point when you do that or your car will tell you
Awesome

@@studiousGR86 I watched it so thanks. But I still don't know what specific RPMs to shift at. Or what to rev the tachometer to when rev matching.

Did you have an overfill on this run? Saw you mentioned you were running overfilled on oil in your most recent Laguna Seca lap...
yes, approx 1L overfill
Nice laps! I bet you could carry a little more speed through 8-9 and close that gap for sure :)
Yes, working on building up the courage to take that section faster haha. the car can definitely do it, just gotta get myself up to par
Good driving! GR Supra very fast. Next time I recommend to use boost pressure gauge also. Good luck!
this is the GR86, its NA so no boost
@@alexsimon3041 All GR car is turbocharged. You think GT86, is NA.
@@dracokev I own a Gr86 , it's naturally aspirated. No turbo
@@alexsimon3041 maybe that is the base model. GR Supra is turbocharged i6
@@dracokev bro there is no supra in this video 😂😂😂
