Ow jeez!! The unsolvable problem haha!
My wallet is a Maratac Deep Cover Clip Pouch. It’s clips inside my belt or waist band. It’s very slim which I like but there’s no way you’d fit anything larger than a victorinox alox bantam in it knife-wise.
It’s great for a few cards, plasters, beard comb, tiny rite in the rain notebook, cash if don’t mind folding it at least 3 times (UK notes anyway) and that’s about it haha.
The leatherman nylon pouches with the side accessory slots are pretty versatile for a belt carry pouch/sheath.
My solution to my how to carry my edc is I only wear jeans, jean shorts or trousers/shorts in jean style- not slanted pockets, 5th pocket (which is an absolute must for my EDC) and two back pockets.
I couldn’t bare having everything in one pouch stuffed into one pocket 😫😭😂
When I don’t need my backpack I carry my Helikon Tex Sere pouch/hip pack. I think it’s great.
Couldn’t agree more on those rarely available pouches! Super over priced and trendy just for the gram photos.

In my experience never put everything in 1 pouch it will get too bulky and hard to take it out, better even it out with 2 EDC pocket organizer

Yep!! Everything in one pouch sounds horrible to me. One bulky pocket 🤮😂 and if you loose it everything is gone.

Time for a back pack. I place just in case items (like band aids chap sticks and tooth floss)in the small pockets. I also have a viperade pouch with a pocket knife multi tool and pry bar.

Other solution would be a Fanny pack or haversack. I personally don’t care much for either one on the daily. But when I go to the gym I do carry a Fanny pack just because I can’t carry those basic items in my shorts or sweats

I like the orange inside of that clothe pouch, but I resorted to the Altoids tin. Always holds its shape/size, doesn't draw attention, it's almost the same size/weight as my wallet, so I can balance my side pockets evenly, nothing outside can press on or attivate car keys, ect. That said, I maybe use the contents of the tin about 3x a week, so....YMMV. Oh, and Altoids tin lid acts as a surface/shelf, where you can "unpack" the things as you hold the tin with one hand and sort with the other.

I actually did the Altoids thing for about a week before the dog poop bag thingy. I love the idea, especially with two ranger bands. I even trimmed the corners of my cards to fit better but is just didn’t work for me. The stuff I used the most was the flat stuff on bottom so it was a pain. Will def make other kits with those tins though.

      Altoids tins are uncomfortable

Yellow Birch Outfitters, they make an edc pouch that’ll handle that champ and all other stuff. I carry the champ too or the surge, they both fit

I have a similar Rough Enough pouch I use for my wallet but doesn’t have the outer zip pouch. Due to the small loops on the Rough Enough pouch, could you attach two of them together? That would be almost the same size as the dog poop bag pouch and in a pinch you could separate them and split across two pants pockets? I currently EDC for nonwallet stuff a Manhattan Portage pouch and a chums surf wallet. Enjoyed the vid and appreciated it!

Great out of the box thinking. I love it. I almost bought one of those Manhattan Portage pouches before I bought the Rough Enough. They look legit.

Just found your channel and have a few thoughts.
Keep track for a month the things you use regularly and what you rarely use get rid of or put it someplace else. I have found, at least for me, the things I thought I would “need”, I didn’t.
If you honestly need all those things, you may need to break it up into smaller “kits”.
Also, I saw that your not big on fanny packs/sling bags, but for me, they are way better than stuffing a bunch of stuff in my pockets. I don’t want to walk around looking like I’m wearing clown pants or have to wear suspenders to keep my pants up 😂.
Finally, sometimes we get in the “analysis paralysis” kind of thinking where we over analyze things. I find it best to step away from whatever it is and then come back to it later.
    Good video btw, thanks!

You’re definitely right about need vs think we need. I’ve recently re-evaluated and reduced a bit. I hate shit in my pockets too. I didn’t end up breaking into smaller kits but funny enough I have been using a different fanny pack lately and enjoying it. It’s less bulky, stays tighter to the waist and has multiple pockets for separating. Will probably do a video on it soon. Wanna wear it more. Test it more. Thanks for taking the time to comment. The videos are fun but hearing other people’s perspectives is the real enjoyment in doing this stuff.

@@CurlysCurated yeah, it’s kind of an evolution thing, lol.
I think you will continue to like using a fanny pack, I use a small Mountainsmith one. Also, that’s an excellent idea to keep testing it and wearing it to tweak it if needed. Look forward to your review of your pack.
You’re welcome and I agree, it’s nice seeing other people’s perspectives and experiences. Keep up the good work!

Try a maxpedition 3X5 pouch. I removed the external hook/Velcro.

  • @OutsideTheTargetDemographic

IDK that you can have a light/small/inobtrusive solution to all the stuff you have. You'll have to break it into numerous, separate, kits. Wallet, EDC kit, belt carry, keychain carry. Unless you get a vaccum-shrinking, helium-inflating, black hole pouch. 🤓

I'm glad you did a video like this, because many of us have the same question. I'm still looking for the right pouch. I probably don't have an answer you haven't looked at yet. I do have two Viperade pouches which probably are too big for what you want but they do have strap holders and could be slung on your shoulder when in 'unsturdy pants' (sweat pants). I have cargo pockets for my work pants and can throw pouches in but I many don't fit in my jeans.
I do have a BROG Bumbag if you want to try it out (I could meet in New Braunfels). I'm currently trying that pouch out. It is too big to put in most pockets but the strap allows carry and doesn't look too much like a purse.
I think the diaper bag dispenser is a great idea and if it works, I wouldn't knock it.
How committed to that Swiss Army knife are you since that seems to be a lim fact?
    Good luck.

    • @CurlysCurated
      @CurlysCurated  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’m pretty committed to the Swiss. I use it a bunch now that I carry it. I think I may have found a solution. I ordered something and I’m gonna try it out. The interesting thing is that there is only one video on TH-cam about it and it’s a product video from the company. So either way it will be cool to share.
Haven’t heard of the BROG bag. Send me a link. I think I’ve decided against fanny pack/bum bags, but I’m always curious to see new products I haven’t heard of.
Also I love the look of the viperades but I toss my stuff around so much that I think the external tools would a goner. 😂

Those are really cool, especially with the improved inner layout. I looked at those as well but they I think the they would have a similar propped with my gear as the Lochby. They have a semi-rigid liner so the Swiss would make it lumpy and weird.
Have you used one? I’m super curious about the lanyard/carabiner loop on the outside. It looks so flimsy. Kinda looks like something you’d use to hang a product on peg-board in Walmart.

Yeah, I know... 😮‍💨 I've been avoiding the reality but I've been using a few recently. Still not crazy about them because no matter how tight I cinch them they always feel likely they are sliding off.
